For Water or For Worse? =)

October 2, 2007 by thejessicat

I sped to college like nobody’s business and reached there in 15minutes given the distance. goodness gracious, I think I have put the Need for Speed gang to shame! Nah, just kiddin.. who can? They rock. Enough is enough, I ain’t sleeping like a night owl again – it’s a weekday!

MCC Splash – prepare to be on guard! NO ONE IS YOUR FRIEND HERE. hahahaaha

Today, I give a whole new meaning to H20. It used to be my buddy but now, it’s more of an enemy; especially buckets of H20. No kidding! Did you know that water balloons actually hurt when it’s aimed in your line of direction? Oh, and buckets of water can be blisteringly cold when you’re not being spared. Yeah man. Despite all those fucked up claims of mine, I actually did enjoy our take on the Songkran Water Festival – Splash!

Disclaimer : Please practice protection on anatomy.
Mr. Mark’s ambush can be lethal.

 The board of water targets

After it was all over, I could feel my bones creaking with every motion I make.

Haha. Not quite.
But anyhow, It was very chilly especially when the god-forsaken breeze comes and goes ever so often. it doesn’t help! What’s funny is, my galpal Steph found me sitting on her balcony when I was no where around the house. Yeah, it’s really sunny up there – I HAD to keep warm! =)

It seemed like a day of events as we not only had that insane water festival, we also had a a performance for the KDU Ball’s Mr. & Ms. KDU. Plus, people from god-knows-where were distributing phamplets and vouchers.

The dude on the right picture? I hell as right am gonna vote for that great pal of mine.
Talented, awesome personality, blessed with good looks, and yeah, hunky.

Then, there was downfall in my chain of fun. All for the love for one of my besties. Her boyf and herself had gone through a rather complicated series of miscomunications and misunderstandings. The best thing is to talk things out to clear the air of confusion. iF one were to claim one loves another and vice-versa, why the issue of ego and who’s right or wrong? The main point of it all is to bury the hatchet, kiss and make-up.

No one is at fault. No one is to blame. No one wanted a fight to occur. No one is right.
Everyone should compromise.

I was glad I did my best at Chillout Terrace getting the matter over and done with. Next time my dears, don’t fight fire with fire. love yall

The fleece of guilt is as white as snow

September 20, 2007 by thejessicat

The fasting month has made me realize how much people around the world should value food more. The point of fasting is supposedly to allow society to sacrifice and feel what it’s like without food – just like the needy and poor. But then again, when 7.21pm strikes for all to break their fast, they eat like Kings and Queens; whalloping all they can in all-you-can-eat buffets and spending like there’s no tomorrow in ‘Pasar Ramadhans’ That’s not the way! Anyhow, I’m just sharing the gist of what a Muslim columnist wrote in one our local newspapers.

Being totally Chinese, us gurls can get away with lunch at Subway – without being dragged into Muslim Authority vans. =)

Sharing is caring!
Anyone wants to buy us a drink? *winks* haha

Joyce’s first time at Subway was worthwhile; she loved it! So did all of us, the soft dough cookies were delicious and I certainly must share my accidentally-created method of eating it with you dear readers:
Buy the cookie of your choice and place it on the brim of your cup of hot cappucino. It fits perfectly! While letting your cookie sit atop your freshly brewed drink, indulge in a conversation with your buddies. Soon enough, you’ll realize that your cookie has absorbed the rich aroma of the cappucino and is now warm and ready to enter your tummy.

Try it! You won’t regret!

Every good thing must come to an end. Likewise, the carbs that we heartily consumed this afternoon must be burned off. Joyce and I hit the gym again to bust some fat and tone some muscle.
We were even cam-whoring in our towels and trust me, this is the ONLY picture I want to upload in my blog lest I would be sued for public displays of nudity and explicit material.

All hail our sweat and toil

It all went pretty well until we were hangin out in the sauna. JOYCE DROPPED OUR LOCKER KEY INTO THE HIDDEN DEPTHS OF THE SAUNA PLANKS! It was well beyond our reach but thankfully, we were assisted by one of the staffs to break open our locker.

The broken lock      ———>

Not to mention the series of security protocol we had to endure, all for the sake of our belongings. Such detailed questioning – almostlike the ones used to interrogate Saddam Hussein! Do we even look remotely anything like or possess any similar traits to those of Osama bin Laden’s subordinates?

Finally, we left the gym after successfully attaining access to our property.

We had our rounds of shopping which turned out to be purchases in the end. Yes Joyce, PURCHASES. Purchases and special discounts.!!! Muahahahahahaa… it’s an inside joke for those of you who raised an eyebrow in confusion. Let’s not go purchasing anymore dear. *gasp*

Battle of the lards

September 19, 2007 by thejessicat

The last time I ate horrible lunch was just the day before yesterday, and I’m actually glad to say that history did not repeat itself. That statement was purely made without any hints of biasness whatsoever; you’ll see why in a while. =)

Yes, my bestie Joyce and I had lunch at Le’ Cafe, proudly stationed at our college. And I must say, those budding chefs have got quite a skill there! Again, I must reiterate that it’s of no biasness for I shall state objectivity and nothing less than that in this post. Side-tracking from this, my very own boyf is a budding chef himself! =P

Alright now, where was I?

Yes. Le’ Cafe’s lunch set, priced at only 10bucks!! We were full after the hearty main course but decided to chomp down the rather tempting dessert – lovely.
  *no touching*
great things always comes in a small portion! I’ll have the lion’s share =)

That’s our waiter for the day –
we welcome you, Palipalam!! (ps. That’s not really his name, when Benj referred to him as by that name, I actually expected to meet an Indian dude)

Ahh.. the contrast of it all =)
Taking the line ‘anyone can cook’ – literally!
Hey, no mice allowed in here Remy! (for those not in the know, watch Ratatouille)

Being the gym brat I am, we took off to CelebF immediately after class. Oh, when I said ‘we’, I meant Joyce and I. YAY she’s my new gym partner! Most of my previous gym partners turned lazy and hardly hits the gym with me now *sniff* Joyce dear, I hope you won’t turn out that way!! Imma make sure you stay! *grins*

*ahem*
laziness kills the dreams from materializing.

This is pure hard work Joyce dear, I’m proud of you.
Keep it up and you’ll be the bombshell!

Oh, and randomly, here’s a candid shot of my maid doing something I can’t possibly describe:

*warning* puasa does not aid a person in slimming down.
The living proof has met the eye

Fully booked day

September 15, 2007 by thejessicat

Yes. My class started with me feeling a tad too pissed. Indeed I was, as my team mates did not complete nor hand in to me the task assigned at the agreed date. Wow, ample time had been given but still proven futile. Only Vishnu responsibly completed his and told me that as editor, I had to patiently deal with the bullshit that people are capable of coming up with. Thanks Vish, at least I can count on you. =)

Oh, and randomly, this is supposed to be my classmate Ragu. He had a ‘great’ time being bullied by us girls

We wrapped a ‘tudung’ around him and tied two pig-tails on his hair

Where was I? oh yess

As we were all downright broke and dry (high five, Joyce!) we headed over to the food court nearby to relish true Penang food. Hawker style! There we were in New World Park; coincidentally meeting the students from the Aug ‘o6 batch. Hanging out in Steph’s aunt’s crib after lunch was no regret – I was dumbfounded with amazement. Their penthouse was exactly the way I wanted it to be, complete with the interior designing and furniture placements. No surprise though, as one of her uncle is an interior designer by profession.

Don’t we just love Ivan, dear?

There were pebbles all in a line for decor purposes and teak swivel doors. Her flooring was of an immaculate tiling whereas her walls had a plaster-ceiling finish to them. There was even an LCD projector above the cream, off-white settee which adorned the parquet leveled floor. An OSIM massage chair sat proudly at its cosy corner and the kitchen was complete with a professional counter adjacent to the dining area.

A koi-pond up in the air – Ivan was so intrigued by it!
Suddenly, I feel like an alien. Those were actually touch-screen switches!

Soon, dusk started to roll in hand-in-hand with the thunderous stormy weather. Could the Sumatran earthquakes have anything to do with the nasty downpour? All I know is, the flood was rather unkind to my car and this car in front. Check this out-

The flood spells danger in the lower grounded areas

Come dinner time, and my dear ol’ godbro Jovan celebrated his BBQ birthday party at his humble residence. It was a double celebration as his friend Ben was the other half of the birthday pair as well.
Happy 18th, my dear pals!

ThE best part was smashing their faces into the cakes! Woo-hoo! We also made them give each other a birthday kiss – which they pitifully refused, rather adamantly. It was rather fun though as apart from socializing, we played Blackjack and some other card games all in a circle. The loser has to be forfeited by eating a kernel from a raw piece of corn placed in the center, on top of a revolting slice of ‘kuih’.

Thank god, I never lost at any of the rounds. =)
I then left the party back to Denise’s house with twice the network I owned, as I made many new friends there: Franklin, Heang, Daryl and Sau Teng, just to name a few.

The night went superb as De and I went to give Steph our love at her pageant finals.
Dang, I’m lookin kinda red! =0

Here are just one of the pictures:
During their entrance, all in white!

Before returning home, Jovan had me to join them all for a round of snooker- which I graciously obliged. =)
Godsiblings for 4 years and counting!
It’s a beeline home now ——————————————–

Pool afternoon

August 17, 2007 by thejessicat

I confess. Nothing beats a fantastic day hangin out with the peeps you love!
Haha. I was supposed to hit the gym today as part of my fitness regime, but Janice couldn’t make it. =( Hmm, fine I shall work out alone. But when Joyce invited me me join her out for lunch with Jack, I couldn’t refuse. I was starving and wanted some fun out. So,I gladly joined em =P

We had some lunch at Ramen, either a newly opened place or an outlet which I had no clue of its existence ever. Jack grabbed a dish with yummy imagi, Joyce a fuggin’ spicy bowl of noodles and yours truly opted for salmon sushi. We chatted like there’s no tomorrow!

Walking towards MegaQue further rose the already risen guilt in me. Heck, it was directly beside my gym! Oh nnno… =(

Whatever, pool is a sport too! *snorts*

That’s me & Joyce lookin uber cool
striking our pose. Wheeeee

It is presiscion when it comes to pool & Umm.. and in this case too

You kept mentioning that you didn’t know nuts about the game, but in fact, you were not bad at all! Hey Jacko, you were actually good at it. =) Joycie, when he was busy with his 3rd consecutive ball, we had our moments with the camera!

Challenge these ladies to a game!

I remember when I used to play cue games all the time but had to stop for quite a while as I had other activities going on. Kinda rusty now, I reckon. XD Next time, I’ll be looking forward to it instead of feeling my guilt swallowing me whole.

The gungho peeps
