It's a party in the USA! One night at #7aste New York @ Hex & Mayfair, Damansara Perdana

December 24, 2010 by thejessicat

I've always wanted to go to New York city… who doesn't love the Big Apple?

And I finally managed to!

Was greeted to this as I entered Hex & Mayfair.

Even the security guards dressed like the ones in NYC does!

Okay so i didn't really jet set to New York city, it traveled to me instead 😛

When I saw the mock Statue of Liberty on the photowall, I grinned to myself. Can't wait to see the one in real life!

Also, who parties alone? Here are some of my pals whom I brought along with me to the event 😀

The more is always the merrier, I introduce you to :

My girls Kelly and Jessyca

Buddy Zhao

Homie and now neighbour Ceddy!

The dude behind my pretty Blackberry, Eric!

So when we got there, Zhao and I proceeded to the VIP zone to get our drinks to start off the night.

The cocktails available from this bar were Manhattan and Cosmopolitan!

I loved the Cosmopolitan as it was made with Vodka, Triple Sec and Cranberry Juice

But I found the Manhattan a tad too strong for my liking. Maybe something for the guys instead! 😀

We then watched the bartender flarring and doing his thang to make all these yummy concoctions for us.

Apart from free-flow of cocktails, we had our passport to free flow of ice-cold beer too

Also claimed my bottle of Jack Daniels. Thanks 7aste!

Gonna open it for my farewell party with all the buddies before I fly off to Australia in February

I love how parties bring people together over an array of fabulous drinks.

Bumped into more friends here! Some more piccies I'd like to share –

with the newly-shaven head, Andy!

I hope you donated your hair to charity 😛

With the boys Jeremy, Leonard and Bryan 😀 So glad we ain't late!

'Cos we came directly from Ogilvy PR digital influencer's makan session.

In between the two Erics! 😀 😀

There were lotsa performances happening onstage.

Comedian Harith Iskandar was there to tickle everyone's funny bone. I didn't really go up to the front to snap pics of him cos there were too many people and that I was too engrossed in the free-flow of drinks and catching up with people around me!

Lotsa fun and drinks to go around

Oh and actually, I didn't know what to wear for this event!

I reckon the theme is New York city dress code but then again, what do the New Yorkers wear? They are mostly made up of urbanites in contemporary wear, or so I think! 😀 So I just wore whatever I had that personifies that LOL

Double Iconic Ring by Soak Republic, Black rose ring a gift from classmate Jody,

White fedora from Topshop, Lycra spaghetti strap top from MNG,

Wide black clincher from Forever 21, High-waisted motif skirt from River Island

Can pass-lah for tonight. haha 😛

with the girls at our table!

With Tom, from Netherlands babeh!

All I can think about in Holland is not tulips nor windmills, but their space cakes huhuhu 😛

Suddenly, I heard some beatboxing bass booming from the speakers.

All I can think about is, hey.. is Shawn here? Haven't seen him in a while! 😀

And true enough. It was! 🙂

Heard some new "tracks" from him too.

With Shawn after his performance. Was surprised that his hair looks real different now.

It's nicer all done up liddat dood! 😀

Camwhored again with ma gurls.

Which reminds me, I haven't blogged the full post on Zouk Out yet! 😛 Soon soon!

There were lots of tapas food to go around.

The most popular one that night was the fine crust pizza!

Nom nom!

(forgive the bright blue eyeshadow. I think it's hideous as well)

Was trying on a new shade and couldn't be bothered to remove it. and no, I don't like Avatar or Smurf characters.Looks like blue is never and will never be my thing. But at least the blue matches my blue skirt with swatches of purple.

Mikey gets all red as usual LOL

It was already past 12 am, but the drinks never stopped!

Bottles poppin' till we can't stand~

We keep it rockin' till 6am~

New york to london over to japan~

Turn it up turn it up mash it up~

We gonna party like~

Party like, like it's the end of the world!

Grabbin our last bottle with Kevin (also the MC of tonight)! 😀

Had a great time in 7aste, New York. NYC, I'm coming for you! Hmm.. wonder what it has in store for me when I go there one day!

To party lika rockstar, of course 😀

Haven't got enough of classy partying? 7aste New York will be tearing up Hex & Mayfair, Damansara Perdana!

December 14, 2010 by thejessicat

When I heard so much about the 7aste New York that will be happening in Penang, I just wished I was back home to party!

But too much things on my hands here in KL to be able to travel back and forth for a short period of time. 🙁 And that sucks real bad.

ouumaigawd it's New York yo! The land of cosmopolitan living!

Why do all the things I wanna go for be so far away from me? Emo.

And that's when… bing! Something awesome made it's way to my email inbox

Okay YAY! 7aste New York is coming to KL too?

To think that one has to travel far and wide to experience an international-themed event. Haha no more, it comes straight to us!

I like it when there's something foreign in the haus! I've only went to one 7aste event so far and trust me, I loved it!

Blogged about it here if ya wanna see! That was the 7aste Monte Carlo installment in Ecoba 🙂

Think wine, casinos, can-can girls and shiny cars!

Here's a buncha pics taken at the previous 7aste event! 😀

It's contemporary, classy and packs a punch of sophistication! Yeaaaaaaa… that's what I'm talking about.

Oh and, for those of you who wants to join the fun too this Friday, ya might want to pre-register first as a 7aste member first.

Because non-members will be charged RM77 upon entrance. Yikes!

To those that I have invited, please study the map below in case you get lost

Dress code? Party like the New Yorkers do! 😀

What would you wear to best express that? *winks* I'll leave that to you!

Here's where you can register – 7aste.com

Don't say I didn't tell you if you burn your 77 bucks for not pre-registering!

Best -part is, I've NEVER been to Hex & Mayfair before. Pretty cool name for a place, if I do say so myself. Can't wait!

Hmmm.. so all I need now is a swanky chaperone dressed imaculately in a shiny tux and a 7aste limo to ferry me there *winks*

So what say you? Coming to the Big Apple aka New York? 😀 😀

See ya there New Yorkers! (or at least we could pretend to be one for just one night 😉 ) heh!

Of classy partying, wine, shiny cars & casino games : 7aste, Monte Carlo @ Ecoba!

October 16, 2010 by thejessicat

Wooohooo!

Can never stop living and breathing parties! 😀

Remember the 7aste Monte Carlo theme party I blogged about previously?

Well, what can I say? The event was really classy, very 'atas' if I do say so myself.

The first thing that greeted me upon entering Ecoba's premises!

Shiny sleek cars are love

Cool maximus numberplate!

I didn't know what to wear being it all Monte Carlo and stuff. Clearly, I can't be wearing like the usual short tube dresses and whatnot. So I dug up my non-Monte Carlo wardrobe and well, managed to find something black, longer and more elegant (I hope!).

Initially I was thinking of wearing the shiny long dress I wore for my college prom but didn't wanna end up overdressed! I doubt I'd be seeing suave looking gentlemen in coats and bow-ties anyway. Although that would be a sight to see! 😀

have always thought shawls make ladies look somewhat classier LOL

Me against the backdrop of 7aste!

Okay time to go in! 😀 Let's get the night started alreadyyyyy

Entrance looks pretty grand too!

Spotlights, camera, action 😀

Ooooh and one of the best parts of an event is always the polaroid or instant photographs. 🙂 I love those! You can hold a really grand scaled event, all hi-fi and whatnot but without these, the event would be less… meaningful. I mean, c'mon!

Brought my good friend, Kelly, along with me to the party

I have a polaroid version of this, blu-tacked onto my wardrobe doors. Thanks 7aste!

Everyone would love something to bring home for memories, whats better than a hardcopy which we all can put on our desks, dressing tables or magnet-ed on even our fridges! In fact, I've a collection of almost 30 polaroids from various events, pasted up on my memory wall!

So from now on, any event which I go devoid of polaroids, I shall deem incomplete and kiamsiap!! 😛 😛

the Penang trio Jerine, Calvin & me sippin' our wine. Thanks fo the pic gurl

White wine courtesy of 7aste! 😀

With them boys Serge & Mike

And the finger food! 🙂 There were chicken, pies and lots more – all bite sized!

Gobble gobble gobble

Apart from wine, there was free flow of Carlsberg beer for us VIPs too. Yay! 😀

We can haz ice-cold beer all night looooooooongggg!

I love how events bring people together 🙂 There's always so much merriment in a party!

With my pals Kelly and Andy!

Bumped into my fellow Penangmates Wen Hoong, Wei Ling & Jie Hu. We went to a scouts & guides Combined Training Camp (CTC) together back in 2004! Pleasant surprise meeting you guys again 🙂

*brainfreeze*

Candid shot of me downing the ice-cold Carlsberg
 thanks Lionel haha!

Other than great drinks, food, company, they pumped it up a notch by putting up Casino-like booths all around. There they were, counters of simulated "gambling" games such as Wheel of Fortune, Baccarat and so on.

The "dealers" were also very professionally dressed and groomed neatly. Just like the ones in the real casinos!

Here we are gaming in a round of Punto Banco, aka Player Banker

I miss Genting's Monte Carlo casino already! 🙁

Unlike the real casinos where you actually lose real  money if you lose a round, the one at 7aste was a good gamble. If you lose, you just… well.. be the loser for that round. LOL but if you win, you actually bring home a prize! 😀 😀

Had lotsa fun playing, to which I won a 2GB Pendrive & a 7 shaped ashtray! Hurraaahhh!

The performances too, were adapted from the real Monte Carlo style

Melikey the whole concept of this event! 😀 Very different, very classy, very… Nevada Las Vegas-ish too.

I had really good fun *hic* and perhaps one too many *hic* before leaving for my good friend, Chee Seng's houseparty to *hic* celebrate his 22nd birthday 😀

More piccies of buddies and I having fun throughout the night!

Sippin on more white wine with the buddy!

With pimp daddy Leonard. LOL Thanks for the pic Kate! 🙂

Haha this photo has 2 watermarks because I ain't putting a heart, Sakura flower or pixelating THERE.

Thanks Simon , for the piccie! 🙂

Gurls just wanna have fun! 😀

And to end the night, I present you a very gangster-lovin player-attitude photo! 😀

Also another random photo taken by Serge hehe! 😀

Great night! :D Two thumbs up

Party in style at 7aste : casinos & luxury at its Monte Carlo themed event @ Ecobar

October 4, 2010 by thejessicat

So I totally missed the previous 7aste party held in Penang! Was already supposed to go for it with my homies after RSVP-ing a "yes". That one was held in 32 The Mansion and I was already looking forward. The whole feel of sophistication of their image makes me feel like living the experience for myself 😀

But remember I had to head down to Singapore for Formula One (F1) Grand Prix?

Yeah. So that was why I had to give this particular installment of 7aste a miss!

But now guess what! Found out that 7aste Monte Carlo is coming to KL instead! Yays!

And its this Friday 8th October 2010 at Ecobar!!

Must.go.totally! 😀 Lucky me, as it's pretty close to where I live.

Oh yeah before I forget., I'd suggest you pre-register yourself at their flashy, dramatic webbie www.7aste.com cos if not, ya gotta pay 77 bucks upon entry. Yikes!

Gotta pick out the outfit first! It's a Monte Carlo theme. Think casinos, luxury, shiny cars and living the fast life.

See you there party peeps!
