HAPPY NEW YEAR 2013! *pops champagne*

January 1, 2013 by thejessicat

Today is the first day of 2013.

My New Year's Eve countdown was spent with my buddies at a potluck houseparty!

With some pals & old buddies!

The eve of 2013 also marked my first time drawing penises on a drunk person!

I see photos and photos on humour sites (like 9gag or CollegeHumour) done so often at the end of parties where people have gotten too sloshed to notice.

But I never thought the day would come that I attempt to do my own on someone else :P

Yay art class!  Photo pixelated for privacy :P

Thanks for a good evening & being an awesome host, Sam!

I've looked through the New Year's resolutions I wrote last year and I'm *quite* pleased to have achieved all of them regardless of the extent!

Here are this year's resolutions :

Jessicat's 2013 New Year's Resolutions

1. Be fitter & healthier

Last year I've lost quite a lot of weight, yay me! Time to lose even more & get even more toned

2. Be a lot more thrifty & prudent in spending.

I've been in and out of this throughout 2012. Time to get serious. Be both penny & pound wise! $$

3. Be more multi-lingual.

For starters, I'm going to be fluent in the two languages I've always wanted to master – my own mother tongue: Mandarin & another language: French.

4. Be timely & current in publishing my blog posts.

I despise having piles of pending blog posts staring back at me. Enough. I'm not going to take forever anymore/publish posts a month after it happens. That's gonna stop – for good.

5. Conquer Mount Kinabalu.

I've been very active in hiking & trekking the whole of last year.

So why not take it a step further on Asia's highest peak? :D

What are your New Year's resolutions?

Really, repetitive photos of fire-works or New Year's greetings that I'm tagged in along with more than a hundred people?

That isn't quite necessary, is it?

Like every year, I'm going to recap some of the defining moments that made my year.

JANUARY :kiss

OCTOBER:kiss

Had fun with Halloween scares as the Fallen Angel!

NOVEMBER:kiss

DECEMBER:kiss

Attended a party dressed as Hello Kitty & won myself a phone!

Celebrated a very merry little Christmas with those near & dear

Attended a very glam charity gala dinner ball by A Cut Above

Apart from the ones that I blogged, there are other amazing moments in 2012 (which I haven't blogged!) such as the Redang Island trip with my buddies, Hennessy Artistry in KL, the Thailand holiweek with Konzy, Heineken Progressive Tour in Penang, my week in Cambodia, Johnnie Walker Great Britain in Penang, foodhunted in Melaka, dined in absolute darkness for the first time, spending an evening with Konzy on top of KL Tower's revolving restaurant, reviewed an amazing Mexican restaurant, Carlsberg Where's the Party, paid a visit to Cyberjaya & Putrajaya for the first time, ZoukOut 2012 in Singapore and so much more OMG.

Now do you understand my 4th New Year's resolution which I mentioned earlier? ;( LOL

Thank you for a wonderful year, 2012. You have given me so much picture-perfect memories, discoveries, fun, experience, adventures, pain & joy.

*pops champagne*

Our short weekend getaway @ Langkawi Island! Of booze, chocolates & fireworks. HOLIDAY!

August 29, 2010 by thejessicat

Heyyy!

How was your weekend everyone? πŸ˜€

I headed back to give my family a visit and while I was browsing through some piccies, I realized that I long for another well deserved holiday so much! Well, MATTA Fair will be up and running next week and I just can't wait to choose the awesome packages there.

So lemme recap my weekend in Langkawi with the boyfie Josh some time back πŸ™‚ Realized that I haven't blogged 'em yet!

Departed from Swettenham Pier in Penang Island with the ferry.

Camwhored like crayyyyzeee!

When we reached, the first place we hit was the beach! πŸ˜€

And decided to photobomb each other in the midst of narcissism

it wasn't planned! Bwhahaha

What a coincidence

Fast forward!

After playing in the sand like lil kids, it's time for some extreme sports πŸ˜€

Motorboating yo!

That thing can go almost 300km/h yo

Took a ride! The seas were vicious but we still managed to squeeze a piccie

Thankfully, the speedboat didn't topple over!

We were speeding ala too fast too furious! Right in the middle of the rough waves

Take a look!

httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OyNCQbHK1Bk

Josh superfreaked out lest I drop the camera into the deep depths of the sea

Nyehehe

But I didn't lor!
 All safe and sound

Here I am acting all macho like I own the waves!

Bwaaaahaaha πŸ˜›

All done with riding the seven seas :P

What an adrenalin rush!

This overdue holiday was done at the start of 2010!

That time, my red highlights of 2009 had faded off already

Let the rain fall and wash away our writings in the sand!

Chilled out more at the beach and walked along the stretch of bazaars! I went absolutely bonkers shopping for sun dresses, bikinis, hair clips and whatnot!

And then nightfell. Had a good night's sleep back at the hotel

And before we knew it, it was the next day! A whole new day of activities lies ahead of us

Went for a traditional Chinese massage!

I did the reflexology! Ima fan of foot massages, in fact in every island I visit, the reflexology is a MUST do! πŸ˜€

Here I am getting tortured LOL

httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hc0g_tTqidA

When you're laden with stress, I'm certain it'll hurt pretty bad!

httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KsBzVcGo5HM

And here's Josh getting himself tortured as well

I mustered whatever Mandarin I can to get the masseur to massage him harder! πŸ˜›

Did some shopping and dinner thereafter

Awwwwwww adorable max!!

And how can we forget, chocolates!

Here are some of my faves… Guylian's seashells

Dinner at a seafood restaurant! Langkawi's pretty fehmes for its seafood

Loved the Pineapple rice there too! We had calamari, fish, soft shell crabs and much more

Our last night at the beach.

Thought it would be nice to sit warmly by the bonfire

And it was huge!!! πŸ˜€

Not to mention extremely glaring too

A beautiful arsenal of fireworks made their way through the nightsky

The display lasted for almost 5 minutes!

Headed off to the Bird Paradise park the next day

So much birds! I had fun feeding 'em too

Cockatooooooooooooo

And it was time to go off already!

Time seems to stop whenever you're on a holiday ey. πŸ™ πŸ™

Goooooooodbye Langkawi!

We'll be back again for the fun, the booze, the beach and the seafoooood!

Short weekends trippin' are the best way to renergize yourself for a brand new week ahead.

This year, I'll be heading to Pangkor Island, Tioman Island and Bali if everything goes smoothly as planned!

*crosses fingers*

Blast off 2oo8!

January 2, 2008 by thejessicat
5….4…3…2…1!! HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

Started a new year with my babes and I exchanging warm hugs, glass clinking and not to mention sprays of colourful stuff which stoinks really bad. Haha. Oh well, stench or no stench, I guess it’s the spirit that matters most.

The new year countdown was fabulous with all sorts of people ushering 2oo8 altogether. It sure was a joyous occasion. Oh, and I must express my utter sceptism on the parental guidance of the children I saw on that very night-midnight-past midnight in that specific location. Though I ain’t particularly pin-pointing any self-proclaimed devoted mothers and fathers, how can the parents of toddlers allow such exposure of the nightparty scene at such unearthly hours to their kids? These children are below the age of ten!

Is this a very positive example to nurture them with?

It is very distasteful. I mean, if it’s just to usher the new year of 2oo8 at the countdown, it wouldn’t be an issue. But given the fact that it was at 2-3am in the dead of the night, having obnoxious people puking in the middle of the streets, in the immediate event of Heineken bottoms-up competitions, small fights involving mostly big burly men and so much more. Do you actually want to taint your child’s mind at such a tender age of below 10years?

Involving them in the party scene?
Witnessing repulsive behaviour unlikely for a mere child to comprehend?

Wake up, mommas and daddas..
the club joints and its vicinity are not and will never be a family outlet! Want your kids to join? Head on to Esplanade for the countdown concerts and fireworks (like my friend : Rina Ong and her blessed family), the beaches for many self-organized get-together parties or even Gurney Drive for its massive countdown activities. Alright? It’s no wonder I see more and more Malaysian Paris Hiltons and Lindsay Lohans committing various acts of misdemeanour at night scenes at an age which seems grow younger and younger every year.

Alright, it’s a one way ticket to Sunway Lagoon for the families with children! Indulge their young minds in something more healthy and wholesome… I implore you. good heavens.

On a lighter note, we had our lions share of fun and laughter. Spotted lots of familiar faces there and omg one ofmy fav pals Christine too! Glad to bump into you babe! *hugs* To my babe Meen, I’m glad you were sober this time around! =P Rachel, as always… a great party partner. To Zoe, remember our ‘nightmare’? muahahhahaha.. Jack, well.. I hope you drove home safely you irresponsible drunk-driver! lol.. Shen and Jo Ann, Renn, Jia, Susan, you guys rock! And to others (you know who you are), we had a terrific time with all of you!

to all my pals out there, have a rockin 2oo8 ahead!!

2oo8

December 31, 2007 by thejessicat

Alright, it’s time for the New Year’s resolutions again.. and the update on our Benjicaβ„’ album! I kinda look forward to the latter more than the.. *ugh*

Why? You ask. Probably cos I haven’t been actually KEEPING those resolutions and speaking of which, I don’t even remember the resolutions I made last year! Hmm.. and certain resolutions have been made over and over again since 1998! Which accounts to a 10-year resolution that was never kept!

Maybe this time around I’ll make a resolution to keep my resolutions!

or

I can have LiveJournal to make my 2oo8 resolutions for me! =P

In 2008, benjicajess resolves to…

Find a new chillin’.
Learn to play the cheeeeeeese.
Eat more choccies.
Cut down to ten sunnies a day.
Give some piercings to charity.
Stop partying with cayenne3.
Get your own New Year’s Resolutions:

Then again.. nahh. Oh well, meeting up Dubby later. We’re gonna do our 2oo8 resolution list and the year-end album.

See ya soon my lil oinkiehead! *muackss* β™₯
