Gastronomic get up

August 25, 2007 by thejessicat

When the parent’s away, the kids will play!!!!!!!!!!!

We had so much fun in the kitchen

When we got home, the chefs of the day started to cook our plans for the day’s sumptuous lunch. Basically, Nadia and Rahimi did 95% of the preps (of which 95% of that 95% was done by Nads) whilst Drea and I did a HUGE AND SIGNIFICANT PORTION – FIVE WHOLE PERCENT!

As it all seems self-explanatory, I shall cease my rich tales, descriptions and whatnot =P

That’s Mr. Chicken sweating in the oven

Rahimi was behind those yummy-licious garlic bread! Uncovered! Exposed!

As we heard our names being called from the food laboratory (read: kitchen) we put down whatever nonsense we were doing (winks at Andrea) and headed for assistance. We stood there by the door like complete morons as Nads buzzed from corner to corner, deftly wielding her mighty crockery.

After a few minutes, our insignificant existence finally came to Nads realisation. Aye aye maam, we’re at your complete disposal! *grins* We were then ‘assigned’ (cheh wahh.. Nads =P)  to the mashed potatos.

The shapeless gooey blob in the bowl

Welcome children! This is AndreaT for the Mr. Mash channel.
Do not attempt to try this at home!
The mystical contents of this colourful box of Mr. Mash will have the power
to cause potatos to grow behind your ears

After hours of  preparations, the outcome was one to  feast on.
Superb!  Stop staring at my plate.  =P

Chef de partie, Chef de cuisine, Sous chef, Commis I & ll all mixed and (Mr.) Mashed up to bear four enthusiastic people which makes up the motley kitchen crew.
Here we are finally sitting down to eat our very own pride and joy

Alls well ends well. Now, lets devour even the plates and bowls!
Hmm.. being the kind person I am, let us feed you through the computer screen.

All you have to do is –
sniff the keyboard twice
 turn around in a circle
and tap the screen three times.
VOILA!
The food has appeared under your chair.

My footprint on a new beach

August 25, 2007 by thejessicat

Actors Studio Greenhall – a place that the inner me yearns to explore. Unfortunately, I have always been selling myself short and never dared to give it a shot! But what got me actually getting around to it was beyond me. There I was with one of my besties Joyce, showing up at the  rehearsals and lo and behold, we were being informally audited!

Thanks to some good connections, my very own friend Momen to be exact, one of my goals in life were beginning to unfold! I would just never have dared to randomly appear out of thin air and walk right in.
You rock, dude. Thanks so much.  ♥ Sincerely appreciate it.

The drama was written and directed by the very experienced Mr. Ashwin Bhatt. It is set in a cosy and warm place where 3 families – Malay, Chinese and Indian lived together. How their childhood, youth, adulthood and how being overseas (and eventually returning home: in Scene 3) ironically did not drift them anywhere apart. The play seemed so realistic, there are romance, hate, clubbing, comical scenes.. etc. That’s just not even half of how wonderful it is.

*crosses fingers* I am anticipating the role of Mandy who had returned from studying abroad;  Mr. Wong’s daughter who is also the love interest of Rajoo, her butler’s son. Our voice recording starts on Sunday – TOMORROW!

I’m more than glad and proud to be welcomed abroad!

Oh, and here’s a random picture I took of other people posing in medieval costumes

Threesome? oh no!

August 25, 2007 by thejessicat

Never could I have ever been so groggy since, ever! Nads awakened me by tugging hard on the comforter while Andrea was upstairs in the shower. Last night, I was kept awake listening to the symphonic orchestra of their snores and ‘natural noises’ while I was busy being the night owl I am. Darlings, just kidding! I was awake as I was chatting online. =P

But before all of that wonderfully coordinated melody had begun, the three of us were watching ‘200 pounds of Beauty’ . It was a heart-rending movie that reduced me to tears at almost the very end. Well, Hanna, I truly understand how you feel about yourself prior to the operation. Yes, though you were fat and ugly; you were nevertheless such a talented songbird. Now that you are a new ‘you’ due to the plastic surgery, I am strangely glad that you can now embrace your inner self to face the crowd – something that you have never dared to do in the past. Yes, indeed I am against plastic reconstruction of such. But on the contrary, it change your life for the better.

Please, feel her soul underneath her (layers of lard) skin. Watch the movie, I insist.

This morning, [very early in fact] we all headed to Tesco to purchase some groceries. Basically, Drea and I lumbered around aimlessly passing remarks at almost everything we saw, while Nads and Rahimi shopped for the ingredients.
and guess what Drea & I saw?

Two for the price of one?
Hopefully, you will get to see it in the newspaper! *prays*
Drea, let’s hope our headbang spell makes it work!

And, oh no. It just speaks for itself, doesn’t it? Yuck!!!!

Anyhow, if you guys were ever wondering about that headbang crap I just mentioned, it’s just this crazy and spontaneous burst of insanity between Drea and I. Don’t blame us on how silly yet rather weird behaviour of such came walking into our minds. Here it is –
