My early morning brain jumpstart at the School of Design Thinking by Genovasi Malaysia!

July 3, 2014 by thejessicat

While most people would prefer to be sleeping their Saturday morning away, possibly recovering from a splitting hangover or simply catching up with their much-needed rest, I was jolted awake by my offending alarm clock at 8am.

Not a very pleasant awakening, considering the fact that I only had 5 hours of sleep the night before.

I was invited to a teaser workshop/training session by Genovasi Malaysia at its headquarters in Petaling Jaya.  Can you believe this set-up is part of their office? Coolbeans. Cool

Let’s see how well my brain functions under such circumstances, eh?

Time to work the grey matter!

But first, coffee.

After grabbing my brew of the day, I adjourned to Genovasi’s headquarters which was located right across the road from Artisan Roast HQ.

How convenient 😛

Entering Genovasi’s premises!

A little background before we begin Ha Ha

Genovasi Malaysia is the only Design Thinking School in Malaysia and the leading regional partner for the Hasso Plattner Institute (HPI) School of Design Thinking at Potsdam University, Germany.

(The HPI School of Design Thinking is a sister institute of the school at Stanford University, USA!)

They aim to inspire, create and empower a movement of innovators for the betterment of self, environment and the world.

In promoting an innovation culture through its education and training programmes, they emphasize 3 main key points:

Resourcefulness

Creativity

Innovation (duh!)

I personally find their office a really conducive working environment; it was really in line with their visions and missions! Check it out.

Most people find it a dread to brainstorm when enclosed within four walls or work according to their run-of-the-mill repetitive and mundane routine. Or if you want to see something more physical, check out the time I went to Skytrex Adventure years ago.

But just look at Genovasi’s colourful and unique office! *gasp* No excuses for not being able to work well anymore!

They also have many idea-boards and idea-walls around the premises!

This I believe, is to give rise to breakthrough thinkers and doers and to use design thinking methods to inspire multidisciplinary teams.

After the brief introduction, we were taken upstairs!

Time for another tour around the office, before kick-starting our teaser workshop of Design Thinking.

Couldn’t help taking a picture of the lightbulbs and black and yellow photo frames.

Such creative yet simple inspiration for interior decor!

Once we arrived the first floor, the fun and friendly representatives shared the Genovasi journey with us. Smile

It was a trip down memory lane since its inception, what they’ve accomplished so far until this very day.

After briefly learning their history, it was now our turn to experience the Genovasi way and for ourselves!

Felt a wee bit excited, as this was my first time undergoing a design thinking course.

Sometimes, we all need a refreshing take on the way we think and how our minds work. That way, we can derive more ideas, alternatives and perspectives to put into practice in our everyday lives.

For example, in my day job, I’m involved in a lot of social media ideation and strategies, so this would definitely be of good help!

 Let’s begin!

Learning the human-centered approach to design thinking.

We were given a mini design project to apply our newfound thought skills

The case given to us was an interesting scenario.

We were supposed to undertake a challenge to help a man suffering from acute arthritis who is now rendered unable to write like an average human being. Yell

Our fingers/knuckles were taped together to replicate the issue at hand.

We had to put ourselves in his shoes before we can help him – empathy at its best!

Audrey and I struggling to hold a pen, let alone write with it!

Our writing was almost illegible with our fingers taped together. Darn!

This ain’t gonna work well.

Yes, yes, go ahead and laugh at my pathetic scribbles of handwriting.

I implore you to write with your fingers taped together by masking tape!

Eureka! That’s when the Genovasi idea lightbulb illuminates.

With all the recyclables, junk, odds and ends and other raw materials!

One man’s trash is another man’s treasure!

 Let’s get crackin’

Here are the raw materials I’ve gathered according to the sketch I’ve drafted.

My draft and the prototype draft.

I devised an enormous writing tool which did not require the injured person to involve his fingers in the process of writing.

As an alternative, he will be using more of his wrist and arm to control the movements instead. Big Smile

Don’t laugh at my idea. It may not be the best, but every idea is a gateway to spark even brighter ideas!

My oddly shaped writing tool and I.

Come on.. there’s nothing technology can’t engineer! 😛

Buddy Rosalyn and I having a bit of fun while we brainstormed.

A lot of silly fun. Hey, all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy!

Buddy Audrey’s creation alongside mine.

Ours was a slightly similar-looking prototype but our concepts were completely different.

It’s judgement day! HAHA.

We were each supposed to place our prototypes on the table and explain how it will most likely work. Tongue Out

This feels like Show and Tell! The Genovasi representatives check out our works and gave us solid and constructive criticism (and compliments too, of course!)

This totally reminds me of high school all over again. Arts and Crafts was one of my favorite subjects in school.

Here are some of our works.

Don’t ask me to elaborate how and what each creation does. I don’t know either!

But hey, they’re pretty darn creative no? Laughing

Considering the fact that we had only approximately 25 minutes to build it, I’d say we deserve a pat on our backs for a good attempt!

What I’ve experienced today was just a teaser!

For the full version, Genovasi offers the Design Thinking Programme through the Innovation Ambassador Development Programme (IADP) frees up your imagination for a purpose through the 20-day Design Thinking programme conducted by the HPI School of Design Thinking @ Genovasi.

You will be trained in the Design Thinking methodology and work in multidisciplinary teams, in partnership and radical collaborations with top organisations in Malaysia to solve real world problems by also use prototyping to discover new solutions.

Thank you, Genovasi Malaysia for an enlightening session!

One does not simply wake up early on a Saturday morning…

but when I do, I’m glad today was well worth it.

The Sunday Times XVI: Sights, sounds, adventures & eats! My week in a flash ♥

January 6, 2013 by thejessicat

Hark! Who goes there!?

A strange electromagnetic force must've swept through my residence because now there's…

Two of me.

I kid. :D Was just playing around with a new photo editing app and realized it gave me this effect.

Pretty nifty, ey? I'll keep making better ones in due time!

My last seven days kept me rather occupied. With New Year's Eve parties, New Year's Day celebrations, running errands, heading out and about, blogging and so much more.

Before that, a shout out goes to my buddy Tammy, for turning a year older on the 1st of January!

Two kittehs!  Your birthday cake is still in my fridge :/

Happy Birthday gurlie! xoxo

For her birthday, she celebrated it with a movie treat – Les Miserables, the musical! :D

I've always wanted to read the book first but looks like it'll have to be the other way around now.

Luckily, Konzy has that novel so I'm just going to borrow it from him! :D

Loving the movie to bits!  Apart from reducing me to tears at the end of the three hour showtime, I walked out of the cinema hall feeling touched and inspired by its very poignant scenes!

Immediately after the show, I found myself talking to others in a sing-song voice and singing out my responses whenever someone talked to me – leaving them raising their eyebrows in bewilderment. LOL

Musicals, in particular, tend to have that effect on me. The bulk of Konzy and I's interaction throughout the day consisted of lyrical and melodious conversations as well as dramatic hand gestures.

I kid you not.

It started to get really funny at some point – until we ran out of lyrics and the effect, gradually wore off.

By the lake in KLCC park

We decided to adjourn outside; towards KLCC park where it was hot and sunny.

Wouldn't want to waste a lovely weather like this, yes?  Lunch was at Chinoz on the Park.

His: Pappardelle Meatballs

Hers: Caesar Salad with Smoked Salmon

It was decently tasty, but commanding such a hefty price for such a simple fare?

That's city living for you, methinks.  We were at the Petronas Twin-Towers KLCC after all.

Just a cute photo of us on the escalator. 'Nuff said :P

We were fooling around, talking about everything under the sun as usual and he dared me to fist myself.

Now, now, hold your horses and don't let your thoughts wander off too quickly!

This is his attempt at fisting himself which I found frightfully amusing

I wasn't going to do it anyway, but Konzy showed me that it was humanly possible LOL

Over the next few days I was really caught up configuring, setting-up & syncing my brand new, shiny toys.

My new laptop runs on the new Windows 8! Geez, I felt so computer illiterate when I first laid hands on it.

My new 15.6" ASUS laptop (where I'll be working most of my writing on)

& SAMSUNG Galaxy S tablet (as my PDA/organizer/planner)

This baby has such high-tech fluidity, impressive user interface, works with different commands, new features, new settings, a new Microsoft Windows AppStore where we can download apps too!

Plus, it has a dual OS (Operating System) where I can choose to switch in between Windows 8 and Windows RT whenever I feel like it.

Oh, sweet, sweet, technology.  :D

Dinner was at another one of my all-time fave restaurants – Food Foundry @ Section 17, Petaling Jaya

His : Wild Mushroom Soup and a Club Sandwich

Hers: Chunky Tomato Soup and Prawn & Eggplant Spaghetti

Regardless of where I live, I will never fail to pop in every so often just to buy my favourite Mille Crepe cake. So the Vanilla Mille Crepe cake you see above, was of course, mine

It's just one of the things I can't – forgive me – share. Really

****

Something triggered my motivation and my moods were clearly elevated when I was told that I was featured in the media again.

No, not in a cinema ad nor a billboard this time, but in a newspaper and a magazine :

In Kwong Wah Yit Poh press (a Chinese newspaper)

In The Opinion (a monthly magazine pull-out of The STAR Newspaper)

With me, it is no surprise. My seven days also included, the imperative gym sessions!

Ran 3.15 miles in 35 minutes and the usual weight-lifts & floor workouts

The next morning was a very early start for me – for a change!

Who wakes up early on a Sunday morning anyway?

Being the night owls we are, it was a total spur of the moment.

But I soon realized that I actually liked waking up at daybreak! Konzy and I then headed out for a very hearty yet healthy breakfast at 8 o'clock in the morning.

To one of my fave food spots in Bangsar, Antipodean Cafe

which serves New Zealand & Australian coffee roasters & cafe cuisine

For him :  Big Breakfast with hash browns, sausages, a fluffy omelette, grilled tomatoes, sauteed mushrooms and a slice of wholemeal bread.

For her : Scrambled eggs with smoked salmon, radicchio lettuce, cherry tomatoes, a slice of wholemeal bread, sauteed mushrooms, grilled tomatoes and a piping hot glass of skinny latte.

I've said this over and over again, but Antipodean Cafe is certainly one worth recommending several times!

(You know, people forget…)

I love this place so much that I even celebrated my last birthday here!

We even managed to have a quick chat with Kiwi-born Alun Evans, the owner of Antipodean Cafe. :)

****

Throughout this week, I've also been consciously switching from radio channel to radio channel lately, departing from the usual, repetitive trashy tunes that they call contemporary mainstream pop.

HOW ON EARTH DID lil miss annoyingly-in-your-face Nicki Minaj, Flo-Rida who is apparently a pro at teaching girls how to "blow" his "whistle", a close-to-30-year-old singing bubble gum pop hoping for someone whom she just met to call her, superficial outlook to life of a materialistic "Primadonna Girl", and yes, let's not forget whiny, spirals of despair from Adele, permeate the airways?

Really. It's a million dollar question.

Come to think of it, it might be the aimless commercialization and lack of substance in today's "music" that has put talented, real musicians and independent artistes to shame.

Yup, what's new? It's all about the $$$.

Which is why I'm sharing five of my favourite hits from the 80's which I happened to come across during my radio channel surfing AWAY from the likes of contemporary – often unoriginal -mainstream pop music.

httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FqTkxFJHrNw

Christopher Cross – Best That You Can Do

httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nsdj9NRzqC4

Starship – We Built This City

httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vFPajU-d-Ek

Belinda Carlisle Heaven is a Place on Earth

httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lDK9QqIzhwk

Bon Jovi – Livin' on a Prayer

httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dQw4w9WgXcQ

Rick Astley – Never Gonna Give You Up

Like it? :D I do. Despite mocking "oldies" music as a rambunctious teenager back in the early 2000s, I now I finally understand how mom, dad, my uncles, aunts and late grandfather came to love and appreciate the music of their era, even till today.

As for me, I wouldn't be proud to say I came from the Justin Bieber-Adele-Nicki Minaj era.

I don't rant very often on my blog, but when I do… it's about the garbage they call music now.

I ended my weekend by sending my third round of recycling materials/recyclables ever since I embarked on a lil personal project of being more pro-environmentalist and taking the green initiative whenever possible.

To reduce, reuse and recycle!

I carried four boxes of recyclables – paper & cardboard, plastic, metal and glass.

They took everything BUT ACCEPTED NOT EVEN A SHARD OF MY GLASSWARE!

HEY! If you didn't already know, glass IS recyclable too!

I was visibly upset but still wasn't given an answer as to why glass is unpopular in recycling efforts

On another note, it's already the second week of 2013!

Schedule's looking pretty busy already.

Have you been keeping to your New Year's Resolutions so far? :D

If not, it's not too late! Endeavour to succeed in them throughout the next 51 weeks!

Much love,

Jessicat

The Sunday Times VI: Sights, sounds, adventures & eats! My week in a flash ♥

September 30, 2012 by thejessicat

Wake me up when September ends, you say? Well… the time has come!

Tomorrow marks not only the start of a new week, but a start of a new month as well.

Yup, it's OCTOBER! *throws confetti*

Anyway, my week has been a very pleasant & busy one. I was back in Penang for a few days to visit my folks.

Outfit of the day!

If you're wondering if I'm dressed more smartly & corporately than usual, I am.

Mom and I attended a High-Tea buffet event at G-Hotel organized by The Star. Full of who's who in the business & corporate world, mom hinted that I should probably dress the part as well. LOL!

We had delicious sweet and savoury high-tea meals in a platter on our table.

My fave was the mussels served in a spoon! They were so juicy

And then we did some shopping at the adjacent Gurney Plaza right after. Just like old times.

It's one of those mother-daughter things we used to do, back when I didn't move out of home yet.

Having a good night's sleep with my Lavender essential oil from The Body Shop after I returned to KL

Mom somehow got me into the whole aromatherapy burning thing again.

It's quality times like this, that I miss immensely about home. I guess home is always where he heart is.

We must not forget that while we're busy growing up, our parents are growing old as well

Okay, enough nostalgia. On to the more adreanalin-pumping, body-rocking stuff, hey?

Did Monday's routine at the gym in our clubhouse, Bukit Jambul Country Club Penang

Imparted some fitness tips to mom too. She's a great gym partner – at 50, mind you!

I swear, when I hit half a century, imma be as fit – if not fitter than – she is. Hats off to this lady I call my mother!

Burning approximately 500 calories after my cardio & workout routines kinda gives me the munchies.

I have a knack of indulging in VERY sinful food as well. But no matter, at least I burn them off almost everday.

Triple Cheese Mozzarella Garlic Naan from Murni @ SS2, Petaling Jaya

You think that's bad?

Wait till you see this. Oh and if you care, I'm also eating a rich Chocolate Fudge cake now as we speak.

It's the Double Down by KFC!!

Yup, it's here… it's finally here! The KFC Zinger Double Down

BoyfieKon and I ate this in Australia sometime last year. I think I might dedicate a blogpost to this! :P

One of my godsistas came over to hang out & spent a couple of days with me.

Guess what we did apart from having dinners, doing our assignments and shisha-ing?

I brought her….. to the gym LOL

Part of Thursday's routine

This week, I am thankful for my cat.

My prized possession. My bundle of joy. My forever-attention-seeking fluffball. My affectionate little boy.

No, he is not at all as fierce as he looks. He wouldn't even hurt a fly.

Chivas is the most docile cat I've ever known.

I guess babyChivas inherited those traits from his purebred Ragamuffiin/Ragdoll mother

If I ain't wrong, that breed is well-known for their innate characteristics of having a very placid temperament.

Confused babyChivas as to where I'm taking him LOL

Brought him to the vet for his usual check-up.

Gotta make sure my boy hasn't got any dysfunctional illness or caught any diseases from anywhere!

Look at the new Witch Hat scratch post mommy & daddy bought for you!

Came across this while surfing the web. Caught my attention and reduced me to giggles,

I can already think of a number of people whom can relate to this haha!

Yup… better not marry someone like that.

Lest you have kids that go..

LOLOLOLOLOL

If you're a gamer and feel the need to smash my head on your grime-filled keyboard and sweat-laden mouse after reading this, don't. You won't score any points or go to the next level if you kill me.

Obviously, I was joking. I've dated a few gamers before in my life & they're pretty cool, nonetheless.

On Friday, I caught sight of a very exciting yet dreamy-like spectacle in the night sky. :D

As I live on the highest floor of my condominium, I was lucky enough to have the kaleidoscope of colours and fireworks in my direct line of vision.

I honestly wondered though, what's the occasion on the 28th September ?

NO FREAKIN' CLUE.

So pretty! I just couldn't stop spamming my shutter button!

Check out this pretty cute song by a Swedish artist.

httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oS6wfWu0JvA&feature=player_detailpage

Song of the week! Lykke Li – I Follow Rivers

Although it is very unlikely of me to actually fancy an Indie Pop song like this, this is an exception. It was introduced to me by one of my French buddies. Stuck in my head since then! :D

Today is boyfieKon's birthday! We had a splendid celebration

I bought him an Arnold Palmer wallet and double-buckled belt. Gave it to him at the stroke of midnight!

Could tell that he absolutely loved it! :D I'm glad.

Plus, he has this uncanny liking towards the smell of fresh, new 100% leather. LOL

Headed to The Apartment-cum-Malones in The Curve for a simple birthday lunch.

Outfit of the day! American Invasion

The birthday boy had Jamie's Duck Pasta Fettucine

I had Grilled Chicken with Creme Fraiche, Spinach with Dill Mash *highly recommended!*

Wouldn't recommend the Chicken & Mushroom Pasta Spaghetti that Pam ordered as it was rather bland to her

We finished off (or rather, started!) with the Chocolate Brownie

I'd have it again, it was that good!

At night, we adjourned to our table-for-two affair

BoyfieKon & I proceeded to Concorde Hotel KL for the birthday dinner which I planned secretly just for him.

Outfit of the night!

Drew a little inspiration from Playboy Bunny

Last year, we celebrated his birthday in a full Playboy Bunny & Suit Up party in Melbourne!

So… that kinda explains why I wanted to re-live a little of last year's moments.

Ordered their best-selling Chocolate Fudge cake & had GANGNAM BUFDAY KON deliberately written on it

It's an inside joke.

Dinner was simply marvellous. I cannot thank Concorde Hotel KL enough for our wonderful evening

 *full blogpost coming soon!*

That marks the end of my seven days this week. What does October have in store for me?

October? Geez. I dread to be reminded that it's already October. That's two more months till the end of the year.

How time flies, right? Are you any closer to completing those New Year Resolutions already?

If not, you better get your arse moving. You only have approximately 90 more days to achieve that.

Heading off to the gym now, dear readers

HAVE A GANGNAM WEEK AHEAD OF YOU!

Oh, did you know that Psy's Oppa Gangnam Style has hit the Number 1 spot in the UK Billboard Top 100, making it the first in Asian music history?  Now you do

Much love,

Jessicat

This will be like running a marathon! Oh wait…

September 21, 2012 by thejessicat

Silly me, of course it'll be like running a marathon.

It IS a marathon in every sense of the word.

As I've always been a fitness junkie almost my entire life, I know you probably won't believe that it's gonna be my first time joining a marathon.

Don't worry. Neither can I haha!

Okay, that's kinda true but not entirely. In high school, I joined several school cross-country runs and always emerged top 30. Does that count? Probably not. Heh.

Allow me to shamelessly display some of my athletic medals here LOL

I was a 100metreX4 relay runner, a 200metre runner, a high jumper, a long jumper, a netballer & a squash player

Mom sent it to me from home for motivation when I told her was joining my first marathon.

Sucha sweetheart, ain't she?

Marathon after marathon – Standard Chartered KL Marathon, Energizer Night Race, Adidas King of the Road, Monash University Run – I bookmarked the website but no thanks to my absent-mindedness, I end up forgetting to register myself for it.

Boo!

So yeah, up till now, I myself, cannot believe that I've not joined a single marathon at all.

Maybe it's also because the thought of the world 'MARATHON' intimidates me.

So… I'm supposed to compete with hundreds of other people for the medal & certificate? What if I don't make it? What if I embarrass myself? What if my friends all go ahead of me and I lag behind? ;(

Yes, I'm competitive by nature. Sue me.

I don't join competitions for the sake of it. Should I participate in something, I aim to win.

So I decided to put my competitive nature aside as this is, after all, my first official marathon.

Yup, the PJ Half Marathon ongoing this 30th September!

Thanks to my two friends Prakash & Pamela, I was signed up for this before I even heard of it.

So yes, thank you for taking my popping my marathon cherry!

This is the route I'll be running on :

Yup. 7 kilometres for my very first marathon.

I keep convincing myself that it shouldn't be thaaaaat bad or scary.

After all, I run 5KM every single time I go to the gym.

So… 7KM should be a breeze, no? Here's to hoping! *crosses fingers*

I began my training today and clocked in 47minutes. I was dissatisfied but oh well, I still have 9 more days till the marathon!

First day of endurance, strength & stamina training!

Adrenalin started to fill me and the next thing I did was to source for other marathons to participate in!

Gee, whizz! I searched the internet with full gusto and found something that I was pretty keen on joining.

Yup, it's the Penang Bridge International Marathon! :D:D

I've been hearing so much about the annual Penang Bridge run year in, and year out, but somehow never bothered to participate. Double boo!

But lucky me, I've already registered myself, as this will be the LAST run on this bridge. Next year's run will be held on the Penang Second Bridge instead!

However, UNlucky me, I was a week late and all the spaces for the 10KM Open Category run had already been filled up 🙁

I was left with no choice but to participate in the 10KM Fun Run instead! No matter.

The route that I'll be running on :

So that's about it. If you hear about any upcoming marathons this year, do buzz me!

Even, better… JOIN ME! :D:D I'm always up for a challenge *wink*

Riding the wicked Harley Davidson superbikes on the road | A day out : Avengers with Harley experience!

August 25, 2012 by thejessicat

I grew up a die-hard fan of Harley Davidson superbikes… boys' toys or not.

Those sleek, wicked, mean machines zooming at top speed leaving people blown away by their envy-inducing trail are no match to any two-wheeled demons on the road.

Or at least, that's how I feel.

Ergo, needless to say, I was over the moon when I received an invitation by Harley Davison Malaysia for an exclusive screening of Marvel's Avengers with Harley (in IMAX 3D!) experience one fine afternoon

#AvengerswithHarley GOGOGO!

I was thrilled when the day finally came & got my aviators, leather jacket, studded boots & bag out

To ride my dream two-wheeled monsters in a bikerchic outfit and leave my dust behind?

Priceless.

Brought along the other half to join me in my adventure!

We were both extremely excited

When we reached Harley Davidson Malaysia's headquarters, I could already feel the suspense kicking in.

Brace yourself, Jess! Here we go

Harley Davidson Malaysia

Entered the premises. The interior consisted of a shopping, decorative & a superbike display corner

Saw this gorgeous one right in front of me in shiny, blood red.

How is it possible not to fall in love?

We just HAD to take a photo with this beauty right here

Rode it too (albeit not on the road) :D

Clearly, we're both loving this

But this is just the tip of the iceberg!

Thanks for this fish-eye photo, Tocky!

Spotted some really cool miniature motorbikes on the cashier counter too.

Take a look! :D

Adorable!

Same bike – from the other angle!

Bumped into some familiar faces there.

Yay! The more the merrier :D What's a thrill ride without friends? Among them were :

Buddy Tocky and I. One of my first buddies here ever since I relocated to the city.

We go a long way back!

Rina! She's a popular local TV host here in Malaysia btw 🙂

Jehan Miskin sure had a great time on the bikes too!

Anyway, I came across another scarlet red beauty.

One day, I will get a Harley for myself and it can sit prettily at my front porch on the days I don't need a powerful, extraordinary riding experience (or simply to intimidate people on the road) :P

Me gusta.

More models on display!

My rocker boyf on on of the edgy Harleys!

And that's me on one of them!

Peekaboo!

I noticed that every different model has a distinctive Harley Davidson logo

Take a look?

Pretty damn cool, right? Which one is your favorite? 🙂

Spotted these three monsters.

Gorgeous. But…now, doesn't it look like something is missing?

That's better *giggles*

All lined up in their utmost glory

Waiting for an equally hardcore owner to take them home, methinks?

I want one too! ;(

Here's a classic looking one.

Made friends with one of the HOG group boys 🙂

After all the admiring and enthusing over those high-powered motorbikes, we had a buffet teabreak.

A little trivia game was being played. Questions were asked about Harley Davidson bikes and the Avengers

And I won myself an orange Harley Davidson cap!

Was so happy, I initially wanted to purchase one of their caps as well

After the meal, we decided to check out the rest of the bikes parked outside.

All those bikes already have hardcore, biker alpha-males that own them and ride them in style!

Posing with another gorgeous Harley!

The owner was smiling at me while I was taking photos with his bike LOL

I think he can tell I love it heaps :P

The other half and I at the giant poster of Harley Davidson 2nd Anniversary of KL

Close-up!

As today was the Harley Davidson x Marvel's Avengers day, check out this specially designated bike!

Looks like Captain America was gracious enough to lend us his superbike for the day hehe :P

Rina and I with our other halves, Jeremy & Kon!

Saw this at the front of one of the bikers

MAD LOVE FOR SKULLS AND LEATHER!

This will be my bike for the day

And with me, is my rider

All safety was ensured and locked in before we began our Harley Davidson convoy to Sunway Pyramid!

I was roaring, rolling and ready to go! The thunderous roars of these superbikes also proved that our mean machines were equally as ready to zoom down the highway

And we're off in full swing!

Traffic stopped for us and couldn't take their eyes off us.

For a second there I felt empowered and liberated… LIKE I'M THE QUEEN OF THE ROAD!

Yep.. riding a Harley Davidson just does that to you.

It was exhilarating :D

We were surrouunded by police and road marshalls body-guarding us.

They did a fantastic job making sure the traffic is smooth just for us.

We took up the entire middle lane in the three-lane highway.

Us cruising along the Federal Highway

It was a roller coaster ride indeed. The adrenalin rush in me was like no other!

I was the speed demon and the road warrior I envisioned myself to be.

We ruled the highways

VROOOOOOOM VROOOOOOOOOM!

Our convoy arrived at Sunway Pyramid after what felt like such a short time on the road!

The experience was amazing and riding those Harleys really leaves you craving for more :/

Arrived!

We were loud and definitely made a statement with our grand entrance.

Throngs and throngs of people gathered around us and kept cheering us on!

We really did steal the limelight; arriving in grandeur with our Harley Davidsons!

Leboyfie and I with our 3D glasses at the screening of The Avengers in TGV's IMAX theater!

The End! The credits rolled and I must say, I certainly enjoyed the movie.

My childhood came to life upon watching these dudes on the big screen again

We exited the cinemas and adjourned to the streets again.

There, our Harley Davidsons (and our riders!) were waiting for us :D

Made friends with the HOG (Harley Owners Group) boys!

Check out the badges they've collected over the years

I simply cannot believe we were going home… ALREADY? :/:/

Well.. at least we're going home in style. Guess I better enjoy my final ride on the Harley today!

The Avengers Harley Davidson parked at Sunway Pyramid

Night riding on the Harley Davidson superbikes cruising along the highway was amazing.

The chilly night breeze blew against my cheeks as the superbikes went at almost 100KM/H (unfortunately we have speed limits on this particular highway). I wanted this final joy ride to last forever.

We have arrived the Harley Davidson KL's outlet once more.

Today, Harley Davidson made me a very happy girl.

And for that, I am eternally grateful

I checked off one thing off the bucket list –

To speed down the highway in a lean, mean Harley Davidson superbike

If you've not ever rode on a Harley Davidson before, you're surely missing out.

One ride on a Harley's will make you feel like this

Inside, your biker soul is burning in full intensity like this

Take my word for it, it is ONE . HELL . OF . AN . EXPERIENCE.

Harley Davidson superbikes are certainly a class of its own

To Harley Davidson Malaysia & Echosphere, I truly experienced the ride of my life

Thank you, guys!

Now I want a superbike. Hmph.
