The Sunday Times XX: Sights, sounds, adventures & eats! My week in a flash ♥

February 3, 2013 by thejessicat

Disregarding the fact that I constantly get bitten to death (well, almost) by mosquitoes and getting nagged my ears off whenever I come back home at wee hours of the morning, being back in Penang has never been better!

Why did I leave Penang in the first place? Guess it’s because the industry I’m in beckons me to the big city KL.

If not for that, I doubt I’ll ever leave this pretty little island.

Melancholy aside, I’m back. Not for good, but for this Chinese New Year.

Took some time to watch the sunrise with buddies. We literally went crazy, crazy, crazy till we see the sun.

0615HRS

Waiting by the rocks at Gurney Drive

Would you rise already, dear sun?

I can see some beams coming from the distance already

0645HRS

Getting brighter and brighter by the minute!

So pretty by the sea, ain’t it?

Keep rising!

And rising!

Almost there..

0700HRS

It has risen!

I also took some before and after panoramic photos of the sunrise.

Yay! I successfully stayed up till the morning light. :D

Of course, that wouldn’t be possible without great company!

Myself & I by the rocks haha!

Surprised? Yeah there’s two of me.

After sunrise, it’s straight on to breakfast!

Headed to Toh Soon Cafe (多春茶座) located at the backlane of Campbell Street off Penang Road.

Campbell Street arch

The wait was long as it is a very popular spot for breakfast, patronized by both the young and old.

I didn’t mind waiting for a classic breakfast but one of the waitresses was so downright rude.

She raised her voice at me, snapped, gave me a dirty look, rushed through my orders before I knew what she was talking about and walked away before we knew what we were ordering.

What on earth? I don’t owe you anything, woman.

But apart from the dreadful service and the unpleasant atmosphere, we got what we wanted:

The charcoal-barrel burned buttered toast with softboiled eggs

Yeah I know it looks pretty easy to make, I can even do the same thing at home.

I reckon it’s the local popular culture that somehow made it a must to come here for breakfast.

We hopped to the next breakfast spot, ‘Ah Lai Cafe Under The Big Tree’ along Church Street Ghaut, just off Beach Street

How many traditional/authentic Chinese coffee shops with zinc roofs are quite like this anymore?

I guess its the novelty that people come for, apart from the classic breakfast sets

Buttered toast!

Their speciality! It was toast with a folded sunny side up egg, cheese & sliced sausages!

Dressed up, dolled up and I’m ready to go!

Went crazy on Chinese New Year clothes shopping this year.

I think I bought like <10 items? Can’t wait to wear ’em!

Ended the long day with our favourite pints of Hoegaarden & Kronenbourg 1664 Blanc

at Eurodeli, Gurney Plaza

The next day! Clad in my favorite Jack Daniels baby tee

Headed to The Twelve Cups at The WhiteAways Arcade along Beach Street

Mr.BFF wanted to recommend me their mille crepe cakes seeing that I love cakes!

Ingenious decorations on their white-washed brick wall!

We had Hokkaido Chocolate and Coffee Chocolate

*Highly recommended*

I loved The Twelve Cups. It was very quiet, cosy and quaint.

Admiring the local street murals/wall art

PSA much?

Happy girl got her Milkshake Factory fix! I am easily pleased like that

For a healthy dinner, I recommend Nando’s half (or quarter!) Chicken with Fino Sides of Spinach & Potatoes

There are grilled vegetables, corn on the cob and others too which are just as healthy!

The daily grind at gym

Went about town gallivanting and enjoying the street art & murals

I bet this fella is wondering who I am riding pillion just like that. Sorry, bro!

One of Penang’s very popular iron/metal structures!

Outing with buddyKen at China House.

Chocolate Marquise! OMNOMNOMNOM

Chocolate Pistachio! OMNOMNOMNOM

Yes, if you didn’t know, my weakness is chocolate. Heh. Heh. Heh. Sinful, cocoa indulgence.

But ironically, I’m intolerant to it. Not many know about this, considering the copious amounts of chocolate I consume!

Back to KL I go!

Couldn’t help taking a photo of the wondrous Penang Bridge

So… why did I drive all the way back to KL only to return to Penang two days later? :D

For an important event that I was invited to make my appearance – AS A ZOMBIE!

How could I refuse?

I’m your worst nightmare

The very first instalment of the famed Zombie Run – Malaysian edition!

*Here the Link to the article*

Tired. Early morning breakfast at Old Town.

Excuse the zzz face I didn’t shower and just hopped into the car LOL don’t judge me

Lunch at DOME with a friend whom I’ve not seen in almost a decade

Random car shot LOL

BabyChivas takes the wheel!

Breakfast one morning with Mr.BFF at my usual brekkie spot, Antipodean in Bangsar!

Salmon Omelette for me and Big Breakfast for him!

OOTD! My new zombie apocalypse tee

Late dinner one day

Best part was, we were the last customers of the day!

So it was easier to have my meatballs come with boiled potatoes and broccoli instead of the usual french fries.

Okay that’s all for this week!

For those who are already on holidays, have an awesome long holiday! And for those who will be bracing the traffic back to your hometowns, drive safely!

Lastly, to the clever ones that are returning back home by plane… SO SMART AH? :P

Much love,

Jessicat

A grand charity ball & gala dinner night at ‘A Musical Evening for the Children’ by A Cut Above!

December 21, 2012 by thejessicat

“Charity . . . is the opium of the privileged.” ― Chinua Achebe, Anthills of the Savannah.

Tonight certainly made that old adage crystal clear, as A Cut Above Group of Salons was set to deliver a night of love, music and kindness in its finest grandeur.

I was honoured to be invited to this philanthropic celebration, known as 'A Musical Evening for the Children' in Sunway Resort Hotel & Spa's Grand Ballroom.

My look tonight is influenced by the grace of Greek goddesses.

I was aiming for purity, grace and elegance and attended the evening donning white and gold

Here's what I wore to the event:

Accessories in gold & the white sequinned toga dress is from a boutique in Melbourne, Australia

I arrived the venue and was already amazed by the first thing I saw; the decorations of the building!

All set for an ethereal night ahead!

Upon entering the Grand Ballroom

The moment I arrived, Winnie dearest, the Chief Creative Director & Founder of A Cut Above had just begun giving her welcoming speech.

Great! Just in time :)

Winnie Loo addressing all her guests

She spoke of her aims of this ball & ultimately wanted us to enjoy our evening with her.

Just by listening to her speak, I knew she had high hopes for tonight and I could also forsee that it will be a successful evening; leaving us with beautiful memories and warmth in our hearts.

I was ushered to my table and took my seat

The celebrity emcees of the evening – Chui Leng and Baki Zainal

He had a really epic hairdo!

It was all shaved around the sides but had some sort of dreadlocks tied up in a long ponytail.

Before gala began, there was a cheque presentation to the Malaysian Children's Aid Society (MACAS)

As expected, the contributions, donations & sales from the charity was a success!

If you can't see from the mock cheque above, the amount was an impressive figure of RM312,000!

That's an amazing figure, don't you think? But that's not all.

An auction for an exquisite piece of jewellery was held at the end of the gala! More on that shortly!

The main VVIP table

The very first entertainment of the night was a graceful performance of ballet dancing!

The children were decked in adorable animal outfits dancing in a nimble, yet sensual & languid motion

Moving to the rhythm

These lovely children were from Karen Barnes Dance Studio, who danced to 'Symphony of the Forests'

Their moves were smooth, synchronized and executed in perfect harmony. Well done, kids!

Next up, was our favorite nine year old songbird Crystal Lee!

She belted out several renditions of popular songs, ranging from the oldies/classics to the contemporary.

It was wonderful to see her wide range of vocals at such a tender age!

This little songbird wowed us all with her confidence and melodious voice.

She actually looked really tiny singing her solos all alone on the huge stage!

See what I mean? :P

But she wasn't going to be alone any longer.

Her mentor, violinist Dennis Lau joined her onstage and performed an incredible duet with his prodigy!

They brought down the house with a mind-blowing version of Jessie J's Price Tag!

I couldn't help but to bop my head to the rhythm & sing along with them too!

A photo with Dennis and Crystal

A stark contrast of musical entertainment soon followed.

Heavy bass filled the air! All produced not by the speakers or the sound systems of the event, but by the mere sounds coming from one's throat.

I'm sure you've heard of beatboxing

Koujee the beatboxer amazed the crowd with his remarkable and rather rare vocal talent.

Koujee beatboxing!

He then burst into a duet with Dennis Lau who once again, made his appearance on stage.

Their breathtaking combination of both vocals and instrumental talent got the crowd roaring for more! It was a very peculiar medley of beatboxing & electric violins but it worked so well!

Koujee & Dennis Lau performing a duet

Among the tunes I managed to catch were Black Eyed Peas' I Gotta Feeling, Benni Benassi's Satisfaction, PSY's Gangnam Style and several more others all mashed up together in a seamless duet.

They even got down from the stage towards the crowd and personally entertained some of the main tables

We were next serenaded by Enfinity Academy's 14 student choir group of all ages!

After their heart-rending choir, the Glitterama Ladies Charity Group then stole the limelight.

They were dressed to the nines in embellished and flamboyant ball gowns with decollete necklines!

The 24 beautiful ladies stood before us, ready to sing their hearts out in unison

Winnie was part of it too! I loved her ravishing mustard-yellow ruffled and bowed ball gown

It reminded me of Belle from Beauty and the Beast

These stunning ladies dazzled with us with not only their alluring beauty, but also their diversely distinct vocals in belting out various alto and baritone/soprano notes

Singing with passion

We were captivated by their renditions of 'Phantom of the Opera' and a Whitney Houston medley of 'Greatest Love of All', 'Saving All My Love for You' and 'I Will Always Love You'.

Award winning ballroom-dancers, Cecilia Yong & Alfred Choo complemented the Phantom of the Opera moment

It was plain to see that all the guests of the evening were having a ball of a time.

What could be better than an exclusive gala of friends, food, music all in the name of good faith?

Sipping on my 3rd pint of Kronenbourg amidst all the chattering and catching up

The next two notable singers to steal the show and wow us with their impressive voices were Vic Teo and Dina Nadzir of Malaysian Idol (Season 1) fame.

He had a very Michael Buble-cum-Il Divo vibe about him when he sings!

His deep and velvety voice worked the soul, swing and jazz numbers in perfect harmony

Dina performed a very cheeky Malay classic song & vocal pop

She executed it so well, befitting her bubbly personality!

I would know! As I religiously followed Malaysian Idol and loved her voice and demeanour since 2004

I was getting even more and more captivated by the line-up of entertainment for the night.

It was such a luxurious and sophisticated ball of magnificent talents!

Dama Orchestra soprano Rachel Tan performing the symphonic 'Think of Me' and a classical 'Time to Say Goodbye'

Just when you thought the next act would be another fine vocalist, the night surprised us with a twist

Next up, was a special appearance by the 16 finalists of the Miss Universe Malaysia  2013 pageant.

They strutted down the runway in a catwalk featuring the elegant, chic and feminine fashion designs of Bill Keith's latest collection.

Sashaying down the stage

The winner of the Miss Universe Malaysia 2013 was Carey Ng (left) by the way!

She will be representing Malaysia in the Miss Universe pageant next year to compete with other winners from other 89 countries. All the best, and make us proud, girl!

A bright red expression

The next highlight of the evening was a one-of-a-kind, show-stopping hair & fashion show.

Not even a slight hint of exaggeration! See it for yourself

I held my breath when they walked precariously on those killer sky-high heels!

The eccentric hairdos I saw left me shell-shocked. They were very unconventional and was certainly a bold prophesy of future fashion conventions and standards.

This could very well set the bar!

This avant garde fashion showcase left me feeling like I was in some alter-universe of a galactic fantasy.

It was bold, and many never-seen-before gender-bending styles were brought to life.

The MCs of the evening then announced the results of the silent auction

Throughout the dinner course, a silent auction of an 18K Gold South Sea Pearl Necklace Set With Diamonds from Flower Diamond were being bid for.

I don't have the exact photograph of the resplendent pearl neckpiece in question, but it looks similar to this

The final call of RM34,800 by Dato’ AK Nathan won the bid,

contributing another immense amount of money to the proceeds!

He was personally called up on stage by Winnie as she publicly acknowledged his kind, colossal contribution

Winnie's & MACAS' gratitude towards him was expressed with a warm bear hug

Spread the love!

Here are some photos of the night with friends and associates :)

We had a superb time catching up over dinner and the stellar entertainment!

Edmund and I

Ben and I

Leo and I

Gim Ean and I

Joshua and I

Leo, Casey and I

A night of music, talents and merriment steeped in love, kindness and compassion, was all what I had expected from A Cut Above's 'A Musical Evening for the Children' charity ball & gala dinner that night.

And true to its aims, the night was, hands down, certainly a memorable one.

Here's a short video I made of the night! Watch it :D

httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wJ7XihjSwnQ

Enjoy!

“It's not how much we give but how much love we put into giving.”

― Mother Teresa

Winnie dearest and I   Doesn't she look stunning?! :D

(She's wearing the same pearl necklace auctioned for RM30K+ earlier)

I'm so glad all her hard work & efforts with her team was well-worth every sweat & toil for the past few months in planning, coordinating and executing a spectacular night for us all to commemorate

Tonight was elaborately celebrated, but its sole aim was simple, charitable and remained truest to the heart.

Congratulations to the A Cut Above Group for raising RM346,800 in total,

instantly catapulting this charity gala ball to greater success!

Gather. Relax. Mix. Mingle. Flirt. Eat. Drink. Time for some fun at Circus @ Pavilion KL!

October 5, 2012 by thejessicat

Upon receiving an invitation from The Eatertainment Group to attend the media launch of Circus KL held a day before its official launch to the public, one thought immediately came to mind :

Circus?

Well, then I can't wait to be captivated and entertained at this brand new, quintessential hotspot!

Was served my favourite champagne, Moët & Chandon, at the entrance upon arriving!

A sister venture of its predecessors Al-Amar Lebanese Fine Cuisine & Al-Amar Express setting the bar for high-quality food, I knew Circus KL was the one place to spend my Wednesday night.

So I dolled up for a swanky, stylish yet casual evening and was ready to go!

((STYLESHOT OF THE DAY))

Jessicat wears : Halter-neck bareback top in purple by Wh | Slacks in black by MNG |

Raspberry Sorbet tote bag in red by Burberry | Hermes-inspired skinny belt |

all accessories from a local bazaar | Criss-cross strappy heels in dark blue by Charles & Keith |

The moment I entered Circus KL, I was wowed by their extensive, artistic and very chic interior!

I stood before a spacious bistro & cocktail lounge; wonderfully furnished & well-decorated with modern influences.

Look to the left!

If you're a fan of modern art, avant-garde & artsy-fartsy aesthetics, their decor will definitely hit the spot!

These are just a couple of them! The quotes are really inspiring too

Now, look to the right!

Their bar set-up immediately caught my eye.

Boasting a wide array of liquor bottle collection, they were placed very creatively on shelves of mass hexagonal cells – very much like the honeycomb in nests built by honeybees! :D

How creative can you get?

The other end of the bar! Check out those unique statues & decorations

We just HAD to take a photo with it

Hey, it's not everyday you chill at a bar with honeycomb-inspired fittings!

Some of the choices of draught beer right from the taps!

My favorite from this range is undeniably the Kronenbourg 1664

If you ain't too fond of beers, Circus KL's variety of exotic cocktails might tickle your fancy like it did mine

Bartenders carefully mixing our choice of over 60 different cocktails!

Another range of drinks they have on the menu is the exquisite range of champagnes, particularly Moët & Chandon as well as Dom Pérignon. We were served the former that evening.

My one & only favorite champagne!

We were lucky to be served so much champagne that evening!

The waiters saw how I never stopped taking swig after swig from my glasses of Moët & Chandon.

They were sweet enough to ask me if I'd like more & refilled my glass after I sheepishly nodded. *hic*

More champagne, if you please?

Before we knew it, we were given a warm welcome by Joseph!

He introduced the concept of Circus KL – where everyone can wine, dine & mingle in an appealing & stylish ambience in the heart of the city as well as being able to fuse an outstanding culinary experience with stellar entertainment. :D

We also learned that it took so much hard work & planning for several months on end to complete Circus KL!

From the planning, designing, conceptualizing, construction, decoration & finally, its execution & launch. I'd say it's a job well done. Congrats!

Oh but wait, there's something more.

He then directed our attention to the…. CEILING. What's up, doc?

Oh wow! Video montages & other videos flashed across the huge LCD screen placed above us

That was certainly something we all did not expect! Pretty cool, I must say

Four out of the many people who made Circus KL happen!

MD of The Eatertainment Group. Joseph Afaki & I!

He's really friendly in person! Was nice to know that he remembers me from Al-Amar Express' cocktail party :)

Manager of Circus itself, Joshua & I :D

More pictures!  With Executive Chef Spaniard David Caral & Joseph

I spotted the chefs preparing food!

It was time for some mouth-watering favorites from all around the world.

We were served various delectable canapés from their international cuisine menu, which we could never get enough of!

Those bite-sized pieces made to complement cocktail hours really gets you wanting more

It's tough to choose, really. I was spoilt for choice!

I ended up taking at least one of everything. Okay, make that three…. :P

The waiters were busy buzzing around the entire Circus outlet making sure us guests were satiated :)

I shall introduce you to some of my favourites – of which are all samples from their menu, by the way!

Ahi Tuna Tatare

Beef Stroganoff with Rice

Mini Pizzas (Should totally check out their gourmet hand-crafted pizzas!)

We were also served plenty of others, such as Mushroom Ravioli, Jumbo Lump Chilli Crab Cakes and Beef Pie!

It was THAT good. Can't wait to go back to dine again :D

While we guests were busy gathering, relaxing, mixing, mingling, flirting (!), eating and drinking, there was a DJ playing LIVE for us.

Circus KL also has a podium & a set-up for live band performances too :D

Here are some partyphotos of the evening!

The flow of savoury, delicious canapés soon came to a halt, and paved the way for tantalizing desserts

Here they are!

My faves are (obviously) the chocolate and also the kiwi ones!

No doubt, Circus KL is a casual, cosmopolitan eatery by day, but as the dinner tables are cleared, the music is pumped up and the bar comes alive.

More mingling, mixing, relaxing & drinking with my buddies!

So if you're up for a charming & exciting date or an outing in style that involves food, drinks, entertainment (and even cigars!)  you know where to go now! *winks* ;)

Interesting, ain't it, how the word 'Circus' is used to give us the idea of morphing into a decadent world of fun, glamour & excitement.

I sure had a fabulous time… and I'm sure you will too

How can you not fall in love with the delightful & eclectic interior? :D

Thank you Circus KL for a lovely evening!

Looking forward to take some time off to chill at KL's latest dining & drinking hotspot again

Drinks, fashion and tapas atop the city skyline! A Kronenbourg L’aperitif French affair

December 27, 2011 by thejessicat

Remember this blogpost and contest which I ran a few weeks back?

As one of the official bloggers for Kronenbourg 1664's L'aperitif Fashion, I shared the launch of Kronenbourg in Malaysia in that blogpost as well as the contest whereby one lucky reader wins 2 invitations to the French fashion event at The View.

Fast Forward- Ta-da!!

Whisked off to The View at G-Tower

I love this place. It's an open-aired bar up 28 stories in the air with a magnificent view of the city

Glad that Kronenbourg chose this place as it is sophisticated, classy and jives well with what their event is about!

Cheers, Kronenbourg!

Oooh the glorious Petronas Twin Towers in the background :D 😀

This time round, I brought along a guest with me to the event.

Meet my plus one for the night. my housie Pamela 🙂

She's actually my childhood friend-turned-housie 🙂

'Cept the fact that we hardly (if at all) ever talk in high school lol

Housie Pam and I at the L'aperitif photowall 🙂

Showed the way in by the usherettes

Even more elaborately dressed usherettes

Kronenbourg 1664 in their various packaging

Bar counter

Pam and I enjoying our Kronenbourg 1664 😀

Catching up with some friends Dennis & Fay

With my fellow ex-redhead, Linora 🙂

With Fateh whom I met at a barbeque beach party some months back

(My weird expression is a result of an expression refraining from pulling an

even weirder expression as Mike tried to rob me of my fedora!) ;(

Funtimes and silly moments never stop with Kronenbourg 😉

Before we knew it, the event kick-started with a warm welcome by the MC and speeches by Carlsberg Managing Director Soren Ravn & world renowned luxury label designer Dato' Professor Jimmy Choo

Josiah Mizukami was the MC for the night 🙂

Models unveiling the design by Gallo by Thian

Introducing the design of the Kronenbourg bottle

by the official designer of L'aperitif fashion Teresa Thian

Closer look at it 🙂

Sucha sleek and chic design for a French beer bottle methinks

The VIPs and celebrities on stage making their special appearance at the event

A design from Gallo by Thian in the display window

We media were then ushered to a private zone whereby the sneak preview of Gallo by Thian's live mannequin show was held. It features her Spring & Summer collection for 2012!

Ssssoooo cuuute! They were *actually* mimicking a real gardening routine

The first of its kind and inspired by Kronenbourg 1664's French Art of Pleasure, L'aperitif Fashion was launched with the unveiling of Gallo by Thian's concept designs by lead designer, Theresa Thian 🙂

Well-known for her chic, feminine and elegant designs, the design combines vintage with elegance; reflecting French sophistication. A bold fashuon statement that is seductively French infused with Malaysian elements

Theresa Thian and her models showcasing the designs

LOL candid photo of me snapping photos of the fashion show (while still drinking Kronenbourg LOL)

and Josiah grinning in the background

The VIPs, Theresa Thian, the models and the fashion mentors & icons of Kronenbourg's L'aperitif fashion

Watched the lovely and adorable live mannequin show, mingled with the crowd and sipped on more Kronenbourg draught. Too fun! Glad I bumped into many familiar faces too 🙂

International model Amber Chia of GUESS fame and I

Dato' Professor Jimmy Choo OBE (Order of the British Empire) and I

Just like my fellow Malaysians, I'm so proud of Dato' Jimmy, you have no idea!

Malaysian-born shoe designer hailing from Penang Island (hello, homeboy!) of Jimmy Choo couture fame – EST 1996 – is now based in London running his self-named luxurious designer shoe label, Jimmy Choo.

He has hand-crafted shoes to high-profile clientele such as the late Princess Diana and red-carpet celebrities across the globe. One shoe would cost at least RM3500 in my currency! To date, he has 140 stores in 32 countries worldwide.

True story, bro

Haha enough gloating about how amazing he is!

Kronenbourg certainly made the right choice in appointing him as the mentor in the L'aperitif Fashion.

Way to go!

So much excitement 😀

And now it's time to chill by the balcony over some (more) drinkies and good food

Pam and I by the glass balcony

TAKE ONE

TAKE TWO

TAKE THREE

Couldn't decide which one was better 😀

Aaaaaaaaanyway, it was free-flow for a quite a number of hours so we just couldn't stop sipping the goodness of Kronenbourg. Pam and I both liked the Kronenbourg 1664 Blanc better due to its sweet, cidery after-taste!

The Blanc version is the one on the left

But my guy friends prefer the original Kronenbourg 1664

Perfect way to unwind on a Thursday night

Amazing free-flow of draught & bottled Kronenbourg, fashionable crowd, tapas food, picturesque sky-high bar, so much catching up and camwhoring with my friends & fellow partygoers 🙂

Let the pictures speak for themselves!

Candid shot of Fay and I

LOL an obviously tipsy Mikey

With Charles and housie Pam

With Soren, Josiah and housie Pam

With Jess of whom I went with on my trip to Tioman Island last year

With housie Pam and Michelle

With Tim! Putcha drinks up!

With Josh and housie Pam

My two friends with amazing musical talents  So proud of yall!

Dennis (above) wickedly plays the violin while Shawn (below) beatboxes epicly.

Together, they steal the hearts' of the crowd

With American-Latin DJ Dean Richards, who brings us tracks of HedKandi and Defected in the House

He has continued making waves in the dubstep scene and house tracks locally too

Await an exclusive interview, dear readers! 😉

Anyway, housie Pam and I stayed at The View till past midnight. Kronenbourg's definitely had it going

So much going around to leave so early just yet, hey?

Totally unrelated photograph but this beer rack in spirals at The View bar caught my eye

Oh before I forget, I'd like to thank photographers Jaz Khai (the unwatermarked photos belongs to him), Vince Khoo and Feroze Roman for their photographs.

Thankew for the lovely photos 🙂 I didn't bring my DSLR to the event due to some unforseen circumstances 🙁

Thank you Kronenbourg, for a wonderful Thursday night out

That being said, congratulations on a successful L'aperitif Fashion launch in Malaysia!

It’s time for a glamorous French affair! Kronenbourg 1664 L’aperitif Fashion event hits Malaysian shores

December 7, 2011 by thejessicat

First of all, I would like to thank Kronenbourg 1664 & it's esteemed crew for selecting me as the Official Blogger

It is my honour to represent this No. 1 selling French premium beer, sold in 70 countries worldwide with 350 years of brewing heritage, during its foray into the Malaysian nightlife scene.

Also, my warmest welcome to Kronenbourg 1664 for hitting the Malaysian shores in its debut recently and congratulations to Kronenbourg 1664 Blanc on a successful launch of  last June.

Bienvenue Kronenbourg!

By now you should be wondering what's the diffie between Kronenbourg 1664 & Kronenbourg 1664 Blanc?

Imma share with you some background info to fill you in!

Kronenbourg 1664

A clear & bright golden coloured liquor with a thick and creamy long-lasting froth, served in a classic green bottle.

It has a very lively carbonation lacing the glass. Its’ taste is slightly bittersweet with a distinct citrus hop taste further defined by a refreshing  clean crisp and uncut flavour.  The beer aroma has a dominant scent of flowery hops, citrus fruits and malt.

Kronenbourg 1664 Blanc

Different from the former, this one is served cloudy in a continental style within a contemporary blue bottle

Kronenbourg 1664 Blanc is a refreshing white beer with underlying notes of coriander and cloves with an intriguingly distinctive balance of subtle citrus and fruity flavours and is also available on draught.

Here's the amount of Kronenbourg glasses on my table at the previous event by Kronenbourg!

Can't get enough of it. Delish!
