Hip and Classy Winter Trends We Can Look Forward to this Holiday Season!

November 5, 2014 by thejessicat

Heyheyhey! It’s November already, time to get your leaves approved and flights booked!

What are your holiday plans for the end of the year?

Moo and I are planning to head up to Cameron Highlands for a change of weather, away from the heat and humidity of KL city. We’re huge fans of nature, tea and strawberries too so yep that’s our December plans!

Staying away from snow this year! Saving up for bigger plans… heheh.

Speaking of holiday seasons, let’s check out what the trending winter fashion will look like this year. Stripped right off the runway, here’s a brief trend prediction and a fashion report for AW2014- emerging trends! Cool

Although there will never be snow or winter in Malaysia, there’s no stopping us from donning trendy winter wear nonetheless!

In fashion terms (if not meteorological ones) the Autumn-Winter season is the hottest of the year. I’ve always loved classy and stylish winter wear. I’d wear it more often if it wasn’t so hot in Malaysia! Yell

With layers, leather jackets, tailored coats and dramatic accessories, it’s only when the nights draw in that your fashion star can truly shine.

I’m a huge fan of leather jackets and wear them rather often no matter what the occasion is! It brings out that rocker-chic biker girl rebel streak in me.

Checking out ’em Harley Davidsons.

The Lady Big Smile

One emerging trend for AW2014-15 is a prim, ladylike silhouette.

Think full 50s skirts, but with a nod to modernity in leather or vinyl.

Something like this vintage 50s poster but with a twist of today’s style!

Match them with a spotted blouse for a nod to Grease, but a look that’s all Vogue.

I wear 50s inspired skirts too!

I’d say it’s called the skater skirt in this era.

One Love, One Lobe Big Smile

This one’s easily replicated without a massive dent to your bank balance.

Emulate the models at Celine and wear a massive statement earring in just one lobe. I usually wear mismatched earrings for fun, but it’s only when I can’t find the other side that I wear my earring on one lobe. 😀

Whoops! Talk about accidental runway-style! 😀

Fashion can be anything these days, really. It’s so subjective; much like art.

All accessories are by my amazing sponsors: The Wild Things. Check ’em out!

Get creative and make your own with fancy beads and feathers, or pick up a vintage gem at a Sunday market. This look works best with a simple, chic base, so try it with skinny-fitting black trousers and a jacket in a luxurious material.

This single-statement one lobed earring seems like a really quirky idea! Something up my alley. I never knew it could be a trend set for this Autumn-Winter.

Why don’t you try this on your next night out?

Oh the Irony: NormcoreOops

Don’t sigh. This “normal” look is far from dull: it’s all about wearing classic wardrobe pieces in navy, grey, beige, and black, but in the most sumptuous fabrics you can possibly afford.

Normcore enough? My trenchcoat last Christmas.

Look to high-end high street brands to help out with this trend, and check in with bargain Japanese clothing experts Uniqlo for their pure cashmere woollens, silk jackets and tailored trousers.

If your budget can reach so far, try Stella McCartney and Marc Jacobs for designer takes on this most ironic of trends.

Defined as a bland, anti-style, think of it as your everyday back-to-basics, turned designer standards. Who says designer looks must be flamboyant all the time? 🙂

Flashy ‘n’ TrashyI Surrender!

Another trend with more than a pinch of irony- or perhaps a postmodern critique of consumer society’s idolatrous brand worship (hard to say). Tongue Out

Like normcore, this trend captures the idea of “normal” before blowing it sky-high and transforming it into high-end couture.

This was probably best seen in Karl Lagerfeld and Moschino’s shows: the former was supermarket-themed with everyday branded products appearing on clothes (like a Pepto-Bismol crop top).

It’s basically a supermarket medication for diarrhoea & heartburn.

Today, it’s fashion. *gulp. Surprised

Moschino took the iconic Golden Arches of a popular American fast food brand, and emblazoned them on handbags carries out by models dressed as servers. How creative!

While this might not be a street-style look to any but the boldest among us, channel the brand trend with plastic fantastic jewellery and accessories.

I guess I could say I dress up my cat fashionably too – with his Superman tee!

Now that’s really unique fashion right there. I occasionally wear supermarket & fast-food fashion too – does my Starbucks tee, Coca-Cola tank top and  McDonalds statement tee count? 😛

Of Trousers and Workwear Made SnazzyBig Boss

In previous years, we’ve followed Alexa Chung and worn oilskin Barbour jackets, and dressed like urban lumberjacks in worn jeans and checked flannel shirts.

Alexa Chung in Tommy Hilfiger

My fave pair of boots and comfy trousers!

A new urban outdoor trend is now emerging: hiking-inspired ensembles. Pair your lined or waterproof walking trousers with sturdy boots and a delicate shirt for contrast.

Perfect for cold and rainy days, as good enough to hit the bar following a hike on Hampstead Heath. Phew.

This is the closest thing that I wore recently that had flannel in it.

Do I look like a modern lumberjack? 😛

However you choose to channel the new-season trends, don’t forget that a dramatic look and buckets of confidence will get you further than any copycat catwalk look: inject your personality into on-trend items with old favourites and classic pieces to retain your sense of individuality.

No matter where you plan to go this holiday season, do remember to stay warm for winter, have a safe flight and always stay fashionable with these fashion-forward tips straight from the Autumn-Winter runway!

Dolling up with our very own homegrown fashion and accessories label – The Wild Things!

October 28, 2013 by thejessicat

Today, I’m gonna be sharing something pretty with you girls! And uhmm.. guys too, since studies has shown that frequent exposure to pretty things for short periods of time can make you look ten times more macho.

LOL. I totally made that up. But now I have your attention, let’s feast our eyes on some pretty (and wild!) things.

Wearing The Wild Things to one of my nights out in Zouk Club KL

They match my shimmery leopard dress so well! Laughing

Being a fashion slave like myself, I find accessorizing a must whenever I doll up for a night out or a day’s worth of outings. Hey, if it complements your outfit, why not, right? But don’t over-accessorize, lest you end up looking like a Christmas tree.

I was pretty excited to welcome my latest sponsors onboard, a homegrown fashion and accessories label – The Wild Things!

Based entirely online (Facebook) and helmed by two sisters from KL, The Wild Things boasts batches of pretty handmade  pieces as well as imported pieces from all around Asia. Wink

My new Aztec motif dangle earrings!

My sassy weekend indeed. It was no surprise when lots of people told me they loved my earrings.

Well girls, you can always check The Wild Things out on Facebook for more!

The Wild Things are pretty spot-on with their quick deliveries as well.

I liked the packaging and care guide too! It’s nice to see that great detail has been put into my accessories.

Wearing The Wild Things at Carlsberg Malaysia’s Oktoberfest launch!

Although their debut batch is officially over and sold out, they might still have some left if you ask them nicely!

Check out some of my other favorites from their first batch ever.

Those are only some of my personal favorites – your style and taste in fashion might differ from mine.

So go check them out for yourself Here’s to hoping they bring back the popular favorites from Chapter 1!

Now that they’ve just launched the latest batch, go look at this season’s hottest items to doll yourself up with.

What really made me happy and browse their online store with a big, wide smile on my face was seeing their pretty and deadly range of Halloween accessories!

Hell BoyHell BoyHell Boy

Check out what just arrived at my doorstep right before Halloween.

Just in time for one of my favourite celebrations of the year! Exciting

Faux leather skull envelop bag, black daisy chain necklace, pink-black dual chains,

and studded diamante spike wristcuffs.

Managed to wear every single thing for the various events I attend and did some self-portraiture of my dolling up with them!

Here they are. How do I look? Tongue Out

Love how the  colours of the dual-chain can bring life to an otherwise dull monotone.

Oh and it matches my lipstick too!

Don’t mess with me, I’m a fighter.

Not really, I wouldn’t hurt a fly. Just showing my necklace and bracelet!

Getting ready for a night out at The Roof KL

‘

Wearing The Wild Things to The Roof KL’s preview launch party of  their premium rooftop bar, Stratosphere.

For some reason, I think I look super Asian level 9000 here. Surprised

Must be my slit-like eyes, I reckon.

So pleased that most of their accessories matches my style! Big Smile

Apart from these gorgeous babies above, here are some of my other favorites from their latest batch that I’d like to share. But LOL I noticed how all my favorites all seem to be bordering gothic and the dark side. Electric ShockElectric ShockElectric Shock

So I’ve also included some girlier ones for the rest of you too!

Chapter 2 is awesome, right? Can’t wait for the next batch already. Big Smile

Oh but wait, a little wild bird told me that The Wild Things will be coming up with some new things for the upcoming Christmas season too!

Can’t wait to be merry and wear the spirit of Yuletide. Ho ho ho!

Meanwhile…

Thank you, The Wild Things for making sure I look extra nice with your awesome range of accessories whenever I doll up!

Much love. Kiss

The Sunday Times XXVI: Sights, sounds, adventures & eats! My week in a flash ♥

June 2, 2013 by thejessicat

Oh hey! It's the month of June already.

If you ask me, this year flew by really swiftly. Before I knew it, we're already almost halfway into the year 2013.

Where did all the time go?

Hmmm… maybe getting starting my new job made me feel like time had fleeted by so fast.

Cold days at work. When the advertising industry debilitates me whole by the end of the day, all I can do is to curl up with my fave mug of hot chocolate

As keeping busy takes up most of my time, my days aren't as dreary and long as it would probably feel if I were to be jobless or bored at home with absolutely nothing to do. To be honest, I do miss being bored sometimes.

I could only wish for more hours in my day. blush

My life is so fast-paced, especially this year, that I don't even have the time to feel bored anymore!

Ahhh, wishful thinking at best.

Anyway, this week was relatively mundane with a sprinkle of colour towards the weekend. Okay, recap! wink

Daily trainings and awesome post-workout meals.

It was upper body: chest, shoulders, back and arm day

Made organic fusilli pasta bake with honey glazed eggplant, carrots & tomato,

tossed with grapeseed oil, basil and cottage cheese.

Rolled wholegrain oats with soy milk, banana slices and golden kiwi

Organic brown rice with chicken chunks, button mushrooms & flax seeds,

steamed in spring onion, garlic-ginger-onion-herb paste made from scratch!

Tonight's outfit of the day.

Was invited to Longchamp Paris' Exclusive Preview of their Fall/Winter collection.

Full blog feature soon!

Randomly, just randomly, I'm vaguely aware of how my sense of dressing has mellowed so much. Ugh.

Although sexy tops, tight skirts, mini dresses and belly bearing tops still appeal to me, I noticed a paradigm shift in my taste in clothing as of late – probably since the beginning of the year. I have to admit, this "change" scares me a little.

I think this means I'm succumbing to the ravages of time and age. OH NO.

Nowadays, classy high-cut tops, demure outfits, long dresses, classic, elegant pieces and the corporate OL (office lady) look strikes my fancy. Umm. really Jess, since when?

What happened to that wild, partygirl look you often portray? surprise

Date night out in the city. We chose El Cerdo KL Spanish Restaurant, Changkat Bukit Bintang

We had tapas. Gambas Al AjilloCalamares (above) and A La Plancha (below)

Loved its freshness and mild but delightful flavours!

We also met up with some friends for a bit of Wednesday night partying

One person is missing from the picture! I guess I'll have to photoshop bestiePam's head in LOL

Bumped into an old friend, Anu, from Penang!

We were squash players back in high school

Excuse my vanity. I don't usually have the time to doll up laugh

Take two.

I have a new addition to my arsenal of gadgets now. Say hello to my new sexy white thing.

The SAMSUNG Galaxy Camera heart

Fancy some cat pictures for the start of the week?

What you are about to see is my furkid, Chivas, in compromising positions cheeky

The weekends finally loomed closer; about time it did!

Friday night saw me packing my bags and heading up to Ipoh to spend some time with the family for the weekend.

We had a sumptous family feast. Japanese dinner at

Zento Sushi @ Festival Walk which left us full to the brim and beyond satisfied.

Full blog feature/review coming soon!

Being away for the weekend didn't deter me from carrying out my routines.

Here's a makeshift circuit I did at the porch of my home.

Oh, this Ipoh trip marked my first time boarding the Electric Train Service (ETS) from KL Sentral Railway Station.

I came to a conclusion that I didn't want to drive two hours to Ipoh and another two hours back. I just can't be bothered, really.

The train ride was incredibly smooth and gave me a pleasant experience!

It was punctual – arriving on the dot! yes

The carriages/coaches were clean, spacious, comfortable and had on-board entertainment (hurray for Mr. Bean!) to boot.

Instead of spending a taxing two hours squinting into the distance when I drive at night and speeding (being me, admittedly) down the highway at 140km/h, all I had to do was to get to the railway station, board the train, pop up my laptop and do my work or leisure for the entire two hours.

Arriving with zero stress.

Sounds like a much better option, no doubt! yes

Thumbs up to Malaysian public transportation!

Architecture-wise, I was pretty impressed by how the railway station looked.

Fringing the railway tracks were high-rise horseshoe and orgee arches plastered in white. It had this British heritage look and feel to it.

You know the concept of crisp-looking whitewashed buildings of moorish designs, pairs of columned porches, symmetrical windows flanking the main, arched entrances?

Yeah the whole train station boasted that entire notion; and I loved it.

It felt as though I was stepping out of the Hogwarts Express train into London's King's Cross railway station.

Before I got too carried away in my reverie, I stopped myself from running into the wall in hopes of traversing into a secret, hidden platform to Hogwarts HAHAHA.

I'm deluded like that.

On our way to the Ipoh Railway Station

Jun 2, 2013 | Whilst on our way to the #Ipoh railway station to head back to #KL #city! by imthejessicat on Keek.com

Farewell, Ipoh Railway Station. I'll be back!

The sunset on the way back was breathtaking

This photo does no justice to the deep vermillion, purple and crimson hues that illuminated the evening sky

Theboyf and I decided to pig out and grab some Mexican cuisine for dinner upon arriving KL.

Actually, it was his idea. We were starving by the time we arrived the city.

Chilis Grill & Bar Restaurant, Bangsar Shopping Centre

★★★★★

The Chicken Club Tacos were superb!

Wrapped inside the tacos were grilled mesquite chicken breast, ancho-chile ranch dressing, diced tomatoes, mixed cheeses and lettuce served with chopped beef bacon and black beans.yes

Eating it left me wanting more. It came so juicy, the chicken was tender and it was a perfect burst of Tex-Mex flavour with every bite.

We also tried their new starter, the Spinach Queso.

Those tostada chips were warm and crisp, to be dipped into a spinach-cheese dip and house-made salsa. Just heavenly! yes

So that's a wrap! Here's to hoping your weekend was just as eventful as mine.

Have a good seven days ahead heart

I'm going to leave you with a song that's been stuck in my head for as long as ever. Sharing is caring wink

Much love,

kissJessicat

Rocking the runway with punk and never-seen-before Avant-garde fashion! Amazing 34 Hair Party by A Cut Above @ Mid Valley Megamall KL

May 3, 2013 by thejessicat

It was a night of never-seen-before fashion taken to jaw-dropping wonder and extreme measures.

I gladly accepted the invitation when I received Winnie’s text message one evening. It is my utmost pleasure to be at another one of her marvellous events!

Brought my other half to the party with me.

Celebrating over three decades (34 years, to be exact!) of prominence in the hair industry, A Cut Above threw an out of this world hair X fashion show in conjunction with Mid Valley Megamall Fashion Week 2013.

The party was aptly named Amazing 34.

She told me that it was going to be an avant-garde and punk inspired evening. So being me, I stuck to the theme as closely as possible. smiley

Just a little snippet of what I wore (I know my manicure should be black instead of red though!)

Here is my top-to-toe lookbook for the event. I decided to adopt a glam-rock look tonight.

Jessicat wears:

Leopard print corset by Supre | Asymmetrical skirt from a fashion bazaar |

Acessories by Diva | Studded wedges by Vincci+ | Knuckle ring clutch by Nose

We got there just in time! cool

The host for the evening, Chui Ling, had just started to give us guests a warm welcome.

Chui Ling looking classy on stage

She then called upon Winnie, founder of A Cut Above Group, to join her on stage to make an appearance.

I was so glad to see her out and about already and making a seemingly good recovery progress (from her recent car injuries). Her speech was short and sweet – as always. smiley

Looking fine as ever, Winnie thanked us guests for being here tonight and

promised that we will be wowed by what we were about to see.

And oh yes, I believe her! laugh

I was excited and rushed to the front of the stage

(with my significant other in tow!) to get the best view.

Tonight featured three distinct themes: punk, edgy runway trends with a twist, and the avant-garde.

Let’s take a look at the first one, shall we? PUNK – here we go! cool

Local band An Honest Mistake looking mighty punk-ish tonight!

They rocked their original tracks including their latest ‘Giddy Up Horsie, This Chase Ain’t Waiting for You’

I almost couldn’t recognize buddy Leonard, as I’ve never seen him looking like that before blush

And with the blue mohawk (wig) hairdo? It goes pretty well on him!

Darren and Leonard rocking the stage on electric guitars!

I’ve always been a fan of punk, alternative rock and easycore music since high school.

Had fun headbanging with them with the crowd! laugh

While they were performing, a bevy of models began to sashay down the stage showcasing trendy runway coordinates with an edgy twist and attitude to boot! How often would you see a band playing their songs with a fashion show happening in unison?

Yup, definitely not the typical hair/fashion show you would expect.yes

—————————————–

Oh and if stylish pieces and latest outfits are your thing, do check out www.enni.net.au.

It’s a online apparel store based in Australia. Yup, that’s your doman of fashion right there! Wink

—————————————–

This was one of my favorites! On top of the very unique make-up and silvery mohawk, I

totally love her spiked bralet, the studded leather jacket and the grafitti-print pants heart

Awesome combination of dangling chains, paper-frills and blue ringlets in her hair

Another hair-raising glam punk fashion in view! Quite literally too.

With a red-black mohawk, this model featured heavily tattooed arms,

a neon coloured mesh strapped in belts and black liquid leggings with fishnet stockings

Watch the short video we made

Once that was over and done with, a series of avant-garde collection stole the limelight the moment models adorned in experimental fashion strutted the catwalk. laugh

I managed to shoot each and every style paraded on the runway. Let’s have a look at them, shall we?

This reminded me of a prison inspired uniform with a cushioned overcoat!

A giant velvet bow adorned his collar. His lips were of powdery white, and so was his hair.

This model showcased a side-shaven buzzcut with shimmery silver and black coordinate

(I used to sport this hairstyle too, but in red!)

 Bold and stylishly edgy.

I’ve seen some fashionistas donning this look lately!

This model portrayed a very metro-modern look with

side-combed hair and sci-fi inspired glasses

This model had a dual coloured trojan-mohawk.

Brown on his left and bright red when he turned to reveal his right!

He was draped in brown and black fur, fish net sleeves with marble designs on his tightpants

This model (with an impressive physique no less!) came out in a skin-tight spandex outfit,

long flowing “hair” and looking like a dangerous cross betwen Darth Vader X skull face.

I honestly don’t know how he can see while catwalking!

This model featured a semi-formal look with a daring twist. Huge ruffles of black frills

adorned his shoulder and netting were binded around his legs

Covered fully in a black cloak, the blonde dip-dyed mohawk

stood out boldly from this look

Can anyone say Avatar with a warm, bronze twist? These ‘conjoined twins’ walked

with an aura of Red Indian braves, the kind that would instil fear and respect from their tribe

In her very high platforms and metallic silver outfit, this model walked precariously

on stage and I even held my breath with every step she took!

Mysterious and clandestine, this model walked up slowly but steadily on stage

dressed fully in shiny black and large circular tubes in tow

Adapting science fiction fantasy into fashion, this outer space-like model

catwalked on the runway on stilts and threw a few stunts too!

Doesn’t this look like a giant optical illusion? devil

The final performance was a very dainty and sophisticated one.

It was interesting to see how ballet and hair were fused together.

While ballet dancing, this nimble and quick artist transformed her white hair almost entirely to red!

Amazing 34 was indeed a visually arresting showcase of both radical hair and fashion works of art.

I was wowed over completely. It may have taken only a few minutes for each model to exhibit each fashion statement, but the amount of effort, designing and styling by the creative minds at work behind everything we saw tonight certainly deserved a standing ovation.yes

It is with such creativity and innovation in the hair and fashion industry that commanded a

humongous crowd witnessing the unique display at Amazing 34 that night.

Just when you thought the show was over, A Cut Above had another surprise in store for us all.

The larger-than-life sized red centrepiece which we all thought was just a prop started to move about.

And the final model of the evening emerged!

Everyone, myself included, was startled but pleasantly surprised! laugh

She reminded me of Queen ‘Padme’ Amidala from Star Wars.

Although appearing mildly menacing, her moves were graceful, and her gestures, elegant.

Check out the runway video we made featuring the avant-garde collection

This wasn’t in the day’s agenda, but looks like the surprise element came from someone else this time.

Guess who decided to surprise our dear Winnie instead?

Her adorable god daughter Crystal Lee crooning Miley Cyrus’ ‘The Climb’ and Jessie J’s ‘Price Tag’ to all of us

My favorite part was when she rapped. Although I’ve heard her sing this song many times,

I can never get enough of listening to her rap that verse

Winnie giving her speech of gratitude for a successful night.

It’s always beautiful to see the mother-daughter love between them; so sweet and moving! heart

The event came to a closure with the fashion designers and stylists making their way on stage.

A thunderous applause followed thereafter, for without the entire creative team behind this brainchild, we would not be able to even catch a glimpse of such challenging and meticulously-crafted masterpieces of fashion! yes

Winnie was extremely busy buzzing about everywhere but I managed to catch her after the show!

She still looked so gorgeous and glowing even by the end of the day. surprise

I would be so stressed, frazzled and sweating buckets if I was the one hosting a show as huge as this!

Back to back with my favorite hair personality of all time, Winnie! heart

Thank you for a wonderful Tuesday night of a spectacular, out-of-this-world fashion and hair party.

A Cut Above never fails to impact their guests with of the most eye-catching and trend-setting that ever existed.

With the beau, who was my date for this exclusive event

With Edmund of A Cut Above. Thank you too, for the invite!

I’ve known him for a while too, Ed’s such a nice and patient person to deal with

Ohai! Bumped into Josh and Olivia at the party too.

We were standing beside each other during this entire time and I didn’t even realize till after!

With sweet and stunning Amber after the show

We have a funny story. Also, I cannot count the number of times Paul and I

bump into each other whenever we shoot events. Expect a collabo soon! wink

Ben and I catching up. It’s been a while! Also, he coaches amazing

catwalks by the way, thus hailing him as the catwalk guru! wink

Winnie with the creative team gathering on stage for a final appearance

To me, this party was more than just a celebration of 34 years of excellence. It was no doubt, a hallmark and pinnacle of modernism in the domain of fashion and hair. yes

Breaching boundaries and departing from practical guidelines of fashion as well as society’s usual expectations of style and appearance, tonight was hands down, a cut above the rest of all the other fashion week events I’ve attended this year!

Kudos to the mastermind of the entire concept behind A Cut Above’s Amazing 34!

You’ve outdone yourself again, Winnie dear yes

One more thing, most of you always ask me where I usually get my hair done.

I have only one answer – where else but A Cut Above? wink

Out of all the hair salons that I’ve tried, I only recommend and trust A Cut Above to give you only the best of anything hair-related. From hair cuts,  hair treatments, to hair makeovers or anything at all, rest assured it’s handled by the experts!

I’ve got my hands on Princess Kate Middleton’s beauty secrets! Loving the new NIVEA Pure & Natural range

Wanna know some beauty secrets used by British royalty? You never would have guessed.

A brand new skincare line was ready to hit the shelves of Malaysia – NIVEA's Pure & Natural range!

Nadia and I at the entrance

The theme was blue and white, held at a distinctively British garden-concept restaurant: Delicious Cafe.

It was a private function where a sneak preview of NIVEA's latest Pure & Natural line of products would be launched over a delightful fare of afternoon tea.

Delicious Cafe was turned into an enclave of various shades of blue with a hint of white.

Bright turquoise bows were tied neatly behind every garden chair and each table was seen decorated with petals and garlands of daisies and gerbera blossoms!

Cobalt blue miniature NIVEA decor hung from branches that sprouted from the pure white pillars of the restaurant.

I spotted the display of the products in question and hopped over to browse them for myself :)

Here's a closer look at NIVEA's new Pure & Natural range!

The launch of NIVEA's new line also saw a hot seat session with the top guns of NIVEA & Guardian pharmacy, as well as a step-by-step skincare demonstration of the new products

Nadia Heng (Miss Malaysia 2010) explaining more about each product before she began the demonstration

This live presentation allowed guests to fully comprehend the benefits and all there is to know about using NIVEA's new Pure & Natural skincare range as well as how to use them.

After all, wouldn't you like to be well-educated about a product before you slather it all over your face?

Step 1 : NIVEA Pure & Natural Cleansing Lotion

It was applied on a cotton pad and wiped gently on the skin of her face.

This cleansing lotion gently removes make-up and dirt effectively!

Step 2 : NIVEA Pure & Natural Cleansing Toner

It was dabbed gently all over her face with bare hands.

This toner helps in tightening pores and revitalize skin.

Step 3 : NIVEA Pure & Natural Moisturizing Day Cream

The moisturizer was warmed between her fingers and gently spread and massaged upwards onto the face.

It ensures skin stays supple! Thin skin is also repaired with intense 24-hour moisture and freshness.

This rich moisturizer is the star product of NIVEA's new Pure & Natural range!

I've some really interesting news about NIVEA's new moisturizer to share – a royalty's beauty secret!

Recognize the glamorous lady on the left?

The Duchess of Cambridge, Princess Kate Middleton, was recently spotted buying NIVEA's new Moisturizing Day Cream at the Boots along Kings Road in London!

Amazing how she strikes a balance between designer luxury products and humble high street products for the masses  Good on ya, Kate! If it is fit for a princess' beauty regime, it is certainly fit for ours

The whole collection not only includes facial skincare, but also body lotion, cleansing wipes and deodorant!

All the products from the Pure & Natural range are free from preservatives and contains 95% natural origins such as Argan Oil, Aloe Vera & Chamomile

We were then captivated with a fashion show by designer Dominique Chan's Princess collection of dresses and evening wear. How apt for the girly and princess theme of the event!

Ready for some ravishing floral & elegant fashion designs?

The fashion show was held simultaneously when the afternoon tea-buffet was served.

Perfect timing! I was looking forward to it as I was beginning to feel slightly hungry by the time it did :)

I've always been a fan of Delicious light afternoon tea and desserts!

Bite-sized yet mouthwatering, these little goodies certainly leaves you wanting more!

Us guests were served a delectable assortment of desserts, pastries and finger food.

Tiramisu, macarons, cheesecakes, tapas food, miniature burgers, miniature pies and quiches

With my fellow girlies, Ellie and Rosalyn at the event

Another round of Dominique Chan's Princess collection was ready to be catwalked down the BLUE carpet.

This time round, the models not only paraded the dresses.

The six stunning ladies were each holding up one product from NIVEA's Pure & Natural range

I was totally smitten by their elegant, flowy and luxurious gowns which to me, embodied so much beauty and grace of the female figure. It was almost as if I was watching real princesses walk by! :kiss

Here are some close-ups I shot of the models once again.. this time, with the individual products.

We were also entertained by a talented string ensemble quartet as evening began to approach

I enjoyed my afternoon of fashion, beauty and delicious afternoon tea-buffet today. Thanks NIVEA!

To brighten my day even further, I was also given a bag of the full range of products in question

At the photowall just before I left the venue

Naturally, I couldn't wait to get home to try out all the products from NIVEA's Pure & Natural range!

Thanks to the demonstration earlier, I replicated the exact steps while using my new goodies ;)

I loved them all! They were really rich and I applied a generous amount of them all over my face and body, leaving it smelling so good and feeling so moisturized

Despite loving the entire collection, I had three specific favorites – the Moisturizing Day Cream, the Body Lotion & the Deodorant Roll-On :D

Pretty sure I was feeling like a princess by the time I was done!
