Heyyyy loves! Hope everyone’s having a great holiday with a double celebration of Thanksgiving and Hari Raya Haji. I went back to my hometown for the long weekend and just visited grandpa’s grave in the Memorial Park this morning.
Taken at the graveyard Robbed cousin Meng of his Nike Air’s for the day Love them so much T_T
I do miss grandpa badly but yeah, I took each and everyone of your advice hence deciding to move on instead of wallowing in despair. He’s in a much better place, I know. Thanks so much, peeps!
Oh and randomly, I was playing in Secret Recipe one fine day with my Chicken Cornish. Mom stuck the spoon in it and I conjured something funny outta it. Well.. THIS momma never taught me not to play with my food – she taught me otherwise! ๐
This warm brown joy of a pastry pie costs RM8.90
Anyhoozers, here’s something I found out recently which plastered a huge smile on my face.
I’m a featured blogger on The Star RAGE’s online portal ๐
And their R.AGE section in The Star Newspaper as well!
Thanks so much to the amazing team at RAGE for featuring me!
Okay it’s 3.15am now in Malaysia. Gotta hit the sack. Nights to all you owls out there who are still awake! Hee
What’s scary? No, it’s not how you look in the morning
What’s big, green and scary? No it’s not the Incredible Hulk
What’s big, green, scary and local? We’re about to find out!
Last weekend, I was invited to The Palace @ Sheraton Imperial Hotel KL for a special screening of Dimensions TVC – A joint effort by Maxis and Astro, Malaysia’s 1st made for mobile science-fiction series.
The event began with a speech by T. Kugan and Eric Foo, to introduce to us, the media and consumers, about what the entire plot is about and how to go about watching it.
11 Episodes of Dimension altogether created exclusively for 3G and online platforms.
Soon, Episode 1 of Dimensions premiered to spark the suspense within us. Whoa, and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed! Given that the local film industry is kinda sullen, the production crew of Dimensions did a pretty good job.
I like the cinematography and effects involved in the making of this sci-fi series. Well, it’s definitely something I look forward to as I can totally relate to the settings of the location and cast. Wheee! Because this sci-fi thriller is set in the heart of KL which reinvents the myths and legends of our city rainforest and ancient spirits of animist tales.
Now that’s some awesome-pawsome stuff! ๐
Here’s the plot I find worth sharing!
A series of mysterious outbreaks is sweeping through KL.
Entire shopping malls struck blind, multiple incidents of group hysteria, heart attacks en masse, an entire secondary school comatose. The entire medical comunity is at a loss for the cause, except for one doctor.
Convinced there is a correlation, she goes in search of the truth, discovering a group of unique individuals with extraordinary powers.
With the appearance of an enigmatic young girl and 2 dark characters on the hunt, an epic adventure beckons, with millions of lives at stake.
Will that curious and determined doctor uncover the truth and save the nation from this widespread epidemic? Or will these dark forces ultimately find what they are looking for and plunge the world into chaos?
Our popular local actor Jehan Miskin stars as this metrosexual malay male with abnormal agility. Oh and *psst I think Rufus starred by justin chan is pretty cute! He plays the short geeky young chinese male by the way.
Nom nom time!
Right after the screening, activation stations were then set-up for anyone who is registered with iPhone 3G to watch anytime they want. And it was time for dinner! In other words, camwhore time wheeeee~
Jon from Fleishman-Hillard Thanks for the invite dude! (Esther was outside at the registration table)
love them heaps! fab people /big hugs
Buddy Joe who gave me a loooong talk about my grandpa’s demise Thanks for so much consoling ya ๐
Shouters unite!
Bumped into Angelene, my former classmate in college KDU Mass Commers FTW! (because we’re just better) =P
Colors vs. white the 4 of us could stand for a laundry detergent ad
I cannot believe I bumped into you! Long lost friend from Penang
Soon after, it was time for some lucky draws! Oh for the record I’m NEVER lucky in Lucky Draws. Arghh. 2 people won an iPhone 3GS just like that, including a friend of mine, Xiang. Gosh. Jealous over the top dot com dot info. >__<
That’s him in a black shirt showing off his new box /boxes Xiang with congrats ๐
Bumped into Bo from Unseen TV in the carpark just before Tocky and I rushed of for another event. His hair is just mad awesome, no? hohoho! Ps. I like Unseen TV because they NEVER censor curses and swears alike. Woots! ๐
OH AND ONE MORE THING :
And the war between iPhone 3G vs. Blackberry never dies!
End of story. But I won’t be able to sleep without saying this

It was a quiet Sunday afternoon and I had a feeling I didnโt want to stay at home all alone after doing the house chores! So I decided to meet up with a couple of friends down town Star Hill (Bukit Bintang)
The traffic snarl was unbearable towards the city and I just realized that I completely forgot about the huge and grand launch of TM Everyone Connects! No wonder the massive gridlock was insane!
They even shut one of the most important roads in town just for the entire event to take place โ with the huge stage, LCD screen and a gigantic crowd of energetic youths! So the moment I got there (getting a parking space was a pain!) Sam and I then headed towards the center of the hype.
There was a huge display of a stomp performance by Stompers KL, with broomsticks, pots and pans and many other household stuff! Video thanks to Sam, checkit out :
It certainly got all the onlookers especially the foreigners real confused yet amused at the same time : )
Bunkface’s Through My Window was playing all day!
Other popular songs were played as well and the volume was pumped up to the max! Taylor Swiftโs โLove Storyโ, Boys Like Girls โLove Drunkโ, Katy Perry’s ‘Waking Up in Vegas’ together with more chart-topping hits! We sang along like crazy.
Bunkface then made their appearance and ran towards the stage to sing their popular song, Through My Window! It was broadcasted on the big screen along with the lyrics for all to see and sing along!
Check out Sam and I jumping on the bandwagon to participate as well in the video that I shot with Sam’s camera:
DO NOT LAUGH Cos I’m singing in a very insane manner! >_<
Another awesome thing that was so coincidental was that, I met a few of my readers during this Everyone Connects launch! Geddit? Everything is possible with Everyone Connects : ) Yup, because everyone really connects today! Itโs really nice meeting your readers in person, and getting to know them too.
And here they are, lemme intoduce Allison (above) and Sue Fei (below) for you ^_^
I was enticed by the participation of this huge flash mob. Fun and communication transcends at any age! I saw the old, the young and theโฆ erm.. very young, playing a part in this launch as well!
It was rather amusing when I noticed that all the passengers of our skytrain – the LRT, kept peering through the glass window just to look down at everything thatโs happening right here in the middle of Bintang Walk.
Soon after, Reshmonu then prepared to perform, he was dressed as a big orange microphone when he was running towards the stage! But we all knew it was him โ his dreadlocks were the giveaway!
There was a heavy downpour but it definitely did not dampen our spirits. We continued singing and jumping in the rain along with the outrageous crowd before escaping to grab some dinner in Secret Recipe with Joshua, Sam and Vic.
When I came back, local band Basolaye was playing on stage with their very own version of Through My Window. Apparently they had a whole hoard of supporters, roaring and cheering for them throughout the performance.
Bunkface then stole the limelight again and performed the closure of this entire TM Everyone Connects launch.
It certainly was an eventful day and a rather awesome one too. Connecting – with no cutting required! Hahahahaaha (If youโre Malaysian, you would understand this joke) So if ya spot me walking in the streets whatsoever, letโs take a picture and get connected as well, wheeee! : )
Okay. Out of ALL the FML stories that I tweet about every now and then, nothing beats this. Yup, you betcha. Right here right now, I’m stuck in an epic problem. Yes literally stuck IN BETWEEN this shit.
Ya know how every condo unit will have a main wooden door and a metal grill gate right? Yes, that’s where I am now. In between those two – I’m not locked OUT and NOT locked in. I’m simply stuck in the middle of this dilemma.
So I whipped out my berry and started blogging this,at this very moment. Thank god! For without it I would be bored to death. T_T Much love goes out to my concerned friends that BBM-ed me the moment I tweeted about it [here]!
Speaking of which, I’m on the phone with buddy Erin now. So nice of her to call! *hugs* However, there were nasty friends of mine that laughed at me and even kept retweeting me! But then again, I don’t blame anyone la. It IS kinda funny come to think of it right? Sigh
Okay yay, just got word that someone is coming to save me. Now all I can do is wait and try to find some self entertainment. I just opened my shoe cabinet and *shy* I didn’t know I had that many pairs of heels. Ooops!
Hey I’m actually beginning to get used to being locked up and sitting here on the cute Ikea stool that I derive pleasure in hurling random rants on this blog. Hmm, it ain’t that bad after all. Oh you know what’s funny? Things could be worse. I thank God I’m not hungry. And fortunately, I don’t feel like I need to pee.
And good thing I’m not claustrophobic. Or afraid of spiders. There’s one in the same corner as me now.
The best part was when I asked mom what to do, she told me to camwhore to pass my time and send her my miserable pictures. Haha. Okay, it’s now clocking into one solid hour in this cage already. Sigh. You can come and take pictures of me like I’m an ancient relic in a museum display window if you want to. LOL
This is for you, mom
NOW I KNOW HOW CRIMINALS FEEL IN PRISON AND REHAB! Heck, those jailbirds don’t even have internet for chrissake -_-” Ohnoes. Let’s just hope my berry doesn’t run outta battery before I’m rescued outta this.
Each and everytime I peer into a Desigual glass window, I would harbour much interest towards the psychedelic designs of their apparel, bags and other accessories. Seriously now, who would dare to be different and boldly step outside wearing something that resembles a swatch of patchwork nowadays?
I found out that this Spanish brand called Desigual, it has been around since the 1984! Coolios. Known for its geometric shapes, eccentric colors and squiggly lines, Desigual has certainly brought fashion forward.
I was given the opportunity to try on too! It costs about RM400++ for this lovely sundress
True to its name, Desigual, which means Dis’equal in Spanish, carries the meaning “it’s not the same”. The brand began began with the objective to create a Fun, Fresh, and differentiated clothing range.
Me with brand manager Mun Fai & staff Ann Ying
This grand opening of Desigual outlet in Parkson, located in Pavillion KL was certainly a fun filled one. Many people were invited, including fashionistas, celebs and media alike.
Pretty booklets for all of us!
Apart from that, the refreshments served were fab too! Think chocolate brownies and cocktails being constantly served by men in suits ๐
Erin ma beyotch & I <3 We’re clad in Desigual tops if you noticed! *high5*
Amongst the crowd, I managed to check out th estuff within the entire shop. Here’s what I fell in love with. Absolutely want them sitting proudly in my wardrobe instead of these shelves!
Goodness me. Such love! When you see black, white & red – it’s me all over.
There were other bags being sold too, and it’s so perfect for a casual outing or event to a real hip & happening event like this. Desigual totally made patchworks a true work of art! I found it really daring and a novel idea.
Love the brown one too!
Buddy Erin particularly liked this one. I think it’s really classy yet chic at the same time. Especially if you know how to carry it with style, or match it with a really good pair of strappy studded heels.
That’s her carrying the aforementioned handbag!
Apart from handbags, totes and slingbags, there are other smaller merchandise as well. Take a look at their wallets, scarves and belts for example
I shot the one I favored most of course! ๐ Santa Claus, I want this!
A nice psychedelic scarf to keep you warm
Those trendy & colorful splashes of print is a signature design of its own
There were many to choose from, all within the latest cuttings and trends. They’ve got empire waisted dresses, summer dresses, dresses with butterfly sleeves and the list goes on!
Oh and see the brown coat on the left? It costs almost one grand, ladies. That’s high street fashion for you! ๐
So loud and cheeky, no? If you noticed, the dress on the left is what I wore in the 1st picture of this entry
I couldn’t resist the temptation of trying on more summer dresses. It’s so different from the average dresses that we see on runways and on all the boutiques. Their dresses made me feel like I stand out from a crowd of plain colored apparel.
This one made me in touch with my oriental roots It’s red with a golden threaded dragon motive behind The upper part reminded me of a Japanese koi fish ๐
But after a few varieties tried and tested, the one below was the one I chose – courtesy of Desigual Malaysia. Thanks guys! I liked this one particularly because I wanted to partake another color option, other than my usual black & red combo. And I think it reminds me of a Japanese Kimono. Geisha anyone?
Totally love the graffitized white bag too!
But hey, I should stop sharing all the cream to the girls already. It’s time to move on to these boys(or should we say, manslaves)who wait for hours on end for us girls to go shopping and carry our shopping purchases for us ๐
Yup, Desigual has really nice graphic shirts too!
If shirts aren’t really your thing (stares at someone *cough*) , then you gentlemen can opt for tshirts instead. They’ve got really funky and bright ones! Totally makes you feel young again eyy
And oh, an Ed Hardy caps complements well too ๐
After Desigual’s launch was over, it was open to the public for business. Again, many customers flocked the outlet one by one to check out the new designs and latest trends of this Spanish couture.
Busy choooooosing Spoilt for choice huh? I was ๐
Despite the extremely busy day for everyone, Desigual Pavillion managed to maintain their customer service with much hospitality and they were always there for me whenever I wanted another size and similar dress to try on!
And even camwhored with me ๐
When the night came to an end, I was a happier girl with a brand spanking new dress to wear for more events to come! Oh and I loved the top that Erin bought for herself, a black one of course. Ooops I can’t help it! >_<
Here’s to the amazing team of Desigual staff line up! Cheers ๐ You guys made my day
What do you guys think of these designs at Desigual? Very uniquely different ey? ๐
