okay well, she didn’t bribe me to write this neither was I put under duress to do so. But anyway, I’d wear a T-Shirt that says :

As everyone knows, CNY is broken down to 15 days. Ahwell, lets not go in order shall we?

So just like year in year out, visitors came pouring in for ‘pai lin’ which means greetings & visiting in the Cantonese dialect. The house was made merrier with so many far-flung relatives all coming back for the reunion!

But before everyone came however, mom & I managed to camwhore first

Home-made lunches and dinners are great for warm bonding sessions
oh yeahhhhh, crabs & pork ribs!

Rendang chicken, Ipoh’s famous Pak Cham Kai (steamed white chicken) and broccoli with mushrooms & herbs!

Yee Sang, a dish traditionally known as being the epitome of prosperity was indeed a must for our family as well. Only that this was our own enormous homemade Yee Sang!

We sent granduncle and his fammy off after their visit. And omg I can’t believe my cousin (she’s actually my aunt in the family hierarchy but we’ve made a sound agreement to establish a cousin-cousin relationship. shhh don’t tell anyone) and I lost touch! She’s working so near the place I live

Anyway, more and more people came and I felt so YOUNG amongst all people from the 2nd and 3rd generation.

But whee! I don’t feel like the youngest cousin anymore after Aunt Pauline came. Well, she brought her sons along and I’m the tai kar che (big sister) now!

Apart from being at home, we also headed out to East Ocean Seafood restaurant nearby for lunches with the guests and more. Well, that’s where we usually should there be any special occasions or celebrations ^_^

Oh and remember when I mentioned that this year was the best and most special Chinese New Year I’ve ever had? My heart’s beating again after the fall and well, he’s the reason

Anyway, deciding not to be so traditionally rigid, we went for tea at Secret Recipe much later in the evening instead of the usual Chinese foodies.

I still have 2nd thoughts on this dress but Mom wanted to take a picture of me so yeah. Could it plausibly be too girlie for me? Or does it look alright?

What’s even better than having an auspicious double occasion? It was granny’s burfday and we decided to celebrate it together to coincide with the CNY season!

I just love shopping in Sunway Pyramid for one reason and one reason only – they have awesome statement tees! Yeah, those attitude tees as some call it. meloves.

Whilst walking aimlessly into the bathroom to freshen up, I caught sight of this very interesting signage.

In the TOILET of all places, the place where one excretes foul deposits or either releases their number ones and twos. WHY would I ever want to improve my taste and smell senses here?

Tomatochris suggested bowling in One Utama, to which I gladly obliged. Whee~! I’ve always loved bowling but was never exceptionally any good at it. LOL

Broken nails. Darn.

Anyway, on the way back, we spotted this very peculiar white bundle in the middle of the carpark.

When inspected closer, OHHHMIIIGOOODNESSS it was a used baby diaper which obviously reeked, to which I assume has been left there for a considerable amount of time. -___-“

The very next day, we had a lunch gathering in The Curve. It was rather amusing to mingle about with the gang, and to camwhore kaw-kaw (translation for the benefit of my non-chinese readers: Hokkien slang for doing something in an extreme manner) with every silly bit of them all.

Been missing Penang sosososososososoososo much as I have been away from home for quite a while.

2. I miss all my buddies back in Penang! HOI you know who ya’ll are.

So in ipoh, what else could I have been occupying myself with besides spending time with the fockers and editing pictures?

Oh and, it did help that I played ‘Lagu Negeri Pulau Pinang’ on my iPod and blasted it out from the speakers during our aerobics session

So today, I’m back in Penang as a red-head again and flying off to Singapore tomorrow afternoon with them and towards the countdown 2009!

And I can’t wait for that gathering the other Singapore bloggers organized for me in Plaza Sing! *hugsss*
