The Sunday Times XXVIII: Sights, sounds, adventures & eats! My week in a flash ♥

June 16, 2013 by thejessicat

Hi lovelies! I've been pretty quiet on the scene this week. You shall see why at the end of this post.

But for now, let's roll out this week's The Sunday Times shall we?

I've just returned from a girls day out!

The sunny Sunday afternoon was spent with my girls whom I've known and loved since I was seven! But… it's been ages since we last met. I haven't seen them since I was 15. frown

A long-overdue mini reunion finally took place in Delicious @ Mid Valley Megamall!

Casual outfit of the day!

What I wore that afternoon.

I also decided to catch up with them here in Kuala Lumpur as all of them were not able to attend our CGL High (Class of 2006) mega reunion in Penang previously.

Oh dang, which reminds me, I haven't blogged about that yet! surprise Will do soon x

Whenever someone returns from overseas, it usually is cause for a gathering! laugh

Rubeeta came back to visit from Canada (she migrated there with her family mid high school!) and it was wonderful of her to make an effort to see us all again.heart

Dah lama tak jumpe, pasti seronok jika meluangkan masa bersama-sama lagi, kan?

Squeals of excitement and nostalgia were in the air that afternoon as we reminisced all the memories over lunch, drinks and dessert.

Primary and high school teachers, co-curricular activities, inside jokes, classroom antics, tuition classes, recess time, girly gossips, cliques and awkward moments back in school before moving on to what defined our life now in terms of love, career and family as we see it. laugh

Gawd we're old. surprise What we'd give to go back to high school for a day, eh?

Here's what we had for lunch.

Allow the foodie in me to take precedence.

Hot Mocha

★★★★★

This is, by far, the best Hot Mocha I've ever had. Thick, rich and aromatic. It was a mug of absolute delight!

It also came with six mini chocolate pastilles which melted into my drink.

I order Hot Mochas at 8/10 restaurants I patronize and they have always been just the same ol' same but this was different.

Carbonara Spaghettini with Oyster Mushrooms, Beef Bacon, Oregano & Cream

★★★★✩

Pan-seared Crispy Skin Salmon served with Coriander relish, asparagus & mashed potatoes

★★★✩✩

Presentation-wise it looked perfect. The taste and flavours hit all the right spots although

the texture of its flesh was slightly tough and overdone in comparison to my last visit.

Two stalks of asparagus seemed a little too inadequate this time round.

Homemade Pesto Spaghettini with Chargrilled Chicken

★★★★✩

Roasted Tomato Soup with Crumbed Mozzarella and Basil.

★✩✩✩✩

Today's soup was unacceptable! It was diluted and oily – the oil suds could even be seen floating!

It was presented in quite a lackadaisical manner too. It also lacked terribly in flavour;

the taste and richness of roast tomatoes were almost non-existant.frown

I had it returned after one spoonful. Believe me, you would too if you had tasted it.

The manager on duty, Simon, was very accommodating and recommended another.

Cream of Pumpkin with Parmesan & Truffle Oil

★★★★★

Not only did its presentation improve tremendously, but it tasted divine. The consistency of the soup

was perfect; neither too creamy nor too thick and the taste of the pumpkin was flavourful and smoky. yes

***

On Thursday, I was invited to the premier screening of Man of Steel, courtesy of talkFILM and Socialites Malaysia.

What can I say? This is one movie you CANNOT MISS FOR THE WORLD.

A movie review on this in a blog feature soon!

Post-workout homemade meal

Made chicken and vegetable stew on Tuesday.

Organic wholewheat cellentani tossed with olive oil and thyme with

kidney beans, cherry tomatoes, onions, quinoa seeds, spinach and tuna.

Another one of my post-workout meals! Whipped up a quick meal of tuna & hardboiled egg

on wheat bran toast with cherry tomatoes and kiwis after gym.

Oh speaking of gym! I have something oddly comical to share. cool

There was this guy whom I met at gym. He was topless and upon seeing me, he quickly put on a shirt.

Halfway doing my superset of burpees, mountain climbers and jumping jacks, I noticed him staring for a good 15 minutes before shouting, "The way you workout is hot! I haven't seen one like you before!".  Umm. (So embarrassing OMG)

Nak layan ke tak layan…. i nak buat aper skarang? Senyum aje lah, cukup kot? indecision

I turned to him and gave him a brief smile before I moved on to my next set of barbell weights.

In the midst of my routine, he walked up to me and gave me the most cliche –

To which I responded rather nonchalently with a –

He then continued to ask me what felt like a zillion questions (thankfully, nothing sexual nor personal like the other creeps at my gym) on the basis of "wanting to get to know me". I was cordial for a while until I began to feel irritated. indecision

To my surprise (and much annoyance) he began to offer to "teach" me how to workout for beginners and started a spiel of how ever since he began gym last month, he's always serious in the gym and how everyone should be like him too.

Then he began talking about himself and how he does his workouts "the right way".

For a second there I felt like I was talking to Johnny Bravo. *rolls eyes*

He asked me if I workout often. I mentioned I used to be a part-time personal trainer here.

Hmmmm.. so I wonder who's the "beginner" among us, huh? wink

He widened his eyes in shock, kept quiet in embarrassment and eventually… gradually… left me alone.

About bloody time he did! angry Ugh. Creeps. Creeps everywhere!

Also, I prefer to work on my routines undistractedly. I go to the gym for one purpose, and one purpose only.

Dislike it horribly when there are people bothering me or trying to start a conversation with me when I'm concentrating; especially with a beeping timer strapped on me! crying

Dude, if you say and claim to be serious at gym, work the machines instead of your pick-up lines, thanks.

OK RANT OVER. smileyLet's move on to cheerier things that made my week!

Saturday was spent at Global Sound System's Dash Berlin #musicislife World Tour 2013 Malaysia

I had the best time ever! It was just that good. More about this in the next blog feature! cool

Random Saturdates heart

Weekends also saw us doing our part for the environment

Remember my tiny little recycling box I put aside last month?

Just a small part of the enormous pile I brought. So proud of myself! yes

Aluminium!

Plastic!

Paper!

One thing that really irked me was that this recycling center in Ikano Power Center DOES NOT RECYCLE GLASS.angrysurpriseangry

I mean, what on earth? Mother Nature didn't teach you to neglect glass. It CAN be recycled!

My heart shattered into a million shards of glass bits when I saw the staff chuck all my glass bottles and glass jars into the trash. No! How dare you! frown

Can anyone tell me where is best to recycle glass? They threw all my glassware away frown

***

My week also saw me suffering with the worst menstrual cramps I've probably had in my entire life.

Felt so blessed when my other half cooked me dinner – just the way I wanted it.

All he did was to ask me what I would like to eat tonight and insist he cooks for me. heart

Pretty sure he knows that I only eat clean! Based on the photos of my meals that I frequently cook and upload, I think any decent chef/cook would know how to replicate them.

Labour of love. Thanks so much, sweetheart! heart xo

***

Random lovey dovey shots with my precious furkid, Chivas.

Take two!

Take three!

Booooooo!

I used to think I could never live without my iPhone and was horrified when Maxis told me they will be sending in my iPhone to Apple in Singapore before replacing my faulty one with a new one.

The entire procedure of warranty claim and return will take at least a week, if not more.

Wait… WHAT? surprisesurprise

So I am supposed to live without my iPhone for a week at minimum?

Last week alone, my email responses were delayed, my updates on social media were much less frequent, my replies on all your comments are slower and I have no form of Instant Messaging on this phone (if you've texted me on Whatsapp or Viber, sorry if you've not gotten any replies from me!).

Basically, I was limited to nothing but calling and texting. I swear it felt like 2003 all over again. crying

But it didn't feel as bad back then.

If I remember correctly, my first phone was a black brick-like Alcatel hand-me-down from dad before my parents decided to get me my own cellphone. Thanks to them, I was one of the first to own a cellphone amongst my friends when I was 14!

This was my Nokia 3315 back in 2003!

Hey it looks quite pretty doesn't it! LOL

Polyphonic ringtones were all the rage back then and that pixelated Snake game enthused me.

I looked forward to the buttons flashing a neon green whenever my high school crush called me or sent me a text.

Ok I lied. I obviously looked forward to his calls and texts more than watching the colours flash on my phone.

ANYWAY

Sure, I wasn't able to do lots of things without my iPhone… and I had nothing to fidget with. frown

But on the contrary, I was able to concentrate on bigger things without distraction, engaged more in real-life human communication, more prone to look around to take in my surroundings instead of being in my little bubble called the virtual world.

Of course, social media takes up and influences a huge chunk of my life, especially with the nature of my job. But hey, I've lived without internet connection on my phone for more than a week now and this allowed me to take a step back to open my eyes to the things around me – both literally and metaphorically.

enlightenedMoral of the story: You CAN live without your iPhone (or whichever smartphone you own).

This is coming from me. If I can last for a week (and still counting!!), you definitely can. So put it down; there are much prettier things around you than that tiny rectangular screen.wink

Revelation aside…

MAXIS WOULD YOU PLEASE GIVE ME MY iPHONE ALREADY?

I'M DYING!

Okay, you didn't just read that. angel Have a good week ahead!

Much love,

kissJessicat

The Sunday Times XVIII: Sights, sounds, adventures & eats! My week in a flash ♥

January 20, 2013 by thejessicat

Remember how I said I wanted to take up yoga, or at least give it a try?

I did. One Monday morning, I set off to my gym at Celebrity Fitness for a session of Vinyasa Yoga.

I was all pumped up.

But instead of feeling like I've unleashed a load of stress off my shoulders or looking like a calm-spirited soul who has just achieved inner peace and arriving nirvana, I ended up feeling like this :

All my limbs & joints felt somehow twisted and entangled to the point of no return.

And while all the elderly ladies and my yoga guru effortlessly got into odd, mind-blowing positions without so much as a giggle or even toppling over, I reckon I looked something remotely like this:

I'm not even joking.

I was sweating buckets, had so much difficulty and felt five times older than that 50 year old woman beside me.

But I did enjoy myself. My Body Combat session right after yoga was a breeze as I was already all warmed up and stretched to the maximum.

Ergo, I forsee myself returning to Yoga more often. Let's just hope my flexibility increases by tenfold!

I was supposed to head straight back home but being a girl, I couldn't resist some shopping beforehand.

Guilty as charged. Heh. Heh.

Bought these amazing pair of gladiator wedges from Nose!

And another because I realized that in my collection of 70 pairs of shoes,

I don't own a plain pair of black strappy heels. Yeah, I can't believe it either.

Spent some time in one of my all-time favourite restaurants, Delicious.

I absolutely love the food they serve there. It can be a little pricey, but nothing too expensive for top quality food!

I had : Pumpkin Soup, Caesar Salad, Smoked Salmon Angelhair in cream sauce & Iced Chocolate

Yeah, I know I'm a fatty and a sucker for good food. Sue me.

Took a random photo of babyChivas being silly

Dinnerdate with Konzy at Sakae Sushi. It's our usual haunt now!

I'm such a regular that I don't even need the menu anymore.

If you're looking for a healthy bite like I am, I highly recommend the Soft Shell Crab Crepe, Ebi Crepe and the Aburi Salmon Carpaccio. The Dragon Roll is pretty good too!

For this fortnight's manicure, I decided to do something neon and funky for my weekend of rave-partying

I used lemon yellow, turquoise and OPI's Black Shatter

Guess what? A new Mediterranean restaurant is coming our way this end January.

(exact location : between Mid Valley & The Gardens. Beside the fountain!)

I was invited to sample some of the dishes from their menu. They are:

Carpaccio of Hirame with Wild Rice & Aubergine,

Spaghetti Tomato Sauce with Sea Bass & Grilled Vegetables

Appetizer: Buffalo Mozzarella & Plum Tomato Caprese,

Luis Felipe Edward Sauvignon Blanc

Dessert: Expresso Panna Cotta

Full blog post containing the full review of Blu Med restaurant & its meals coming soon!

After the food tasting session, I set off to The Butter Factory to attend Future Music Festival Asia's pre-party.

Just a little selca fun in the car

Jessicat wears: Asymmetrical dress from Bangkok | Shoulder bag by Coach |

Spiked necklace by Topshop | Brown Leather Heels by Pedro

The party was fabulous! If you missed, full blog post – here

As this week was Konzy's final week in Malaysia for the next two months, we decided to grab some authentic street food in the city. Jalan Alor was our pick!

Some of the stuff we had. Spicy Clams, Barbequed Ribs in Sesame Sauce, Barbequed Shrimps,

Wan Tan Mee (Wanton Noodles) and… the Barbequed Mushrooms & Broccoli were my favourites!

It's quite a good place to bring your tourists/foreign friends here for food, to be honest.

The choices are endless!

Friday afternoon was a sweltering one. So, Konzy surprised me with this

Usually, I would refuse ice-cream due to my diet requirements but I made this an exception!

My Friday night was mind-blowing.

'Nuff said. Full blog post – here

If Friday wasn't epic enough already, Sunday was the We Love Asia rave party featuring…

Joachim Garraud

 LMFAO

Steve Aoki

Full blog post coming up shortly! Yes, I'm still so stoked that I got to see one of my idols, Steve Aoki LIVE. IN. THE. FLESH!

To end today's edition of The Sunday Times, a friend introduced a beautiful video to me and here it is:

He has an amazing voice, ain't it?

Have a great week, folks!

The Sunday Times XIII: Sights, sounds, adventures & eats! My week in a flash ♥

December 16, 2012 by thejessicat

It's Sunday again! This week was busy as usual. So much I want to blog about but so little time.

If only I spent 15 minutes to prepare an entire blog post, that would be great! JOY.

But no, I take more time that that as I not only edit ALL the photographs to perfection, I also write the article with conviction and ensure in-depth detail.

I really do, and it takes a hell lot of time! Grrr.

But sometimes I wished I didn't. Le sigh!

I think you can tell by now (after 7 years!) that I'm not the sort of blogger who posts up a few photos and several sentences and call it a blog post.

Since when has blogging ever comprised copy-pasted facts and a stock image?

Quality control has always been the key!

But I do realize I must stop this "perfectionist" attitude from hindering my efficiency & timeliness

It may be my strength, but it can also be my weakness! ;(

So I just drew up a near-impossible schedule this morning to make the rest of my December even busier.

It's a challenge.

Far-fetched or not, I gave myself incredibly tigjt deadlines to meet everyday in order to clear off all my back log of 30 blog posts!  I can, I must!

In the meantime, my kitty can keep me company all curled up on my lap

while I slave away on the keyboards

Have you noticed that we are more inclined to be productive and things actually do get done if there is a target, a goal or a dream ahead of us?

If there's none, well, instead of procrastinating, set yourself those deadlines to push yourself!

It's the same principle I apply for my gym workout routines.

If I get complacent, I'll stop taking it seriously and then there will be no point, no drive, no motivation anymore

Moral of the story? If there is no push, there will be no results

Anyway, here's what I've been up to this week.

Attended the launch of NIVEA's Pure & Natural range at Delicious! Even Kate Middleton uses them

So glad to bump into Nadia, it's been a while  She was the MC for the afternoon too

*full blog post soon!*

Thursday night being serenaded by Vince Chong during the Merry Guinness christmas dinner

at Dirty Nelly's @ Life Centre by Guinness Malaysia

*full blog post will be published on Christmas day!*

My Friday coordinate comprised earthy and neutral shades!

Jessicat wears : Corduroy cropped jacket in brown by Voir | White Paris graphic tank top by TopShop |

Grey denims by TopShop | Metal feather necklace a gift from Konzy |

Buckled leather heels in brown by Pedro | Armbag in white by Seed

Attended the launch of the iPhone 5 in Malaysia on Friday morning

Made lunch! Organic Durum Wholewheat Spaghetti with Haricot Beans, Mushrooms

and lots of freshly chopped garlic, onions & oregano

Grabbed some dessert at one of my favorite places – Circus KL @ Pavilion KL

Had a Lez 3 Chocolat (it's a special… off the menu!) Thanks Ralph! :) It was delicious

Noms & chilltimes with Ralph, Louise & Konzy. Love yall! ;)

Chilling at The Pressroom Bistro @ Pavilion KL

Konzy had something called Fancy Sencha Tea while I had Bellagio Hot Chocolate

I loved my Hot Chocolate by Bellagio! None of that watered down crap or typical Cadbury sachets

This was rich, thick and the aroma was amazing  The Fancy Sencha Tea? Well, it was good but we didn't find anything too fancy about it… as its name suggested :P

Had a lunchdate with Konzy at Teppanyaki Express @ Food Republic, Pavilion KL

He had a Sliced Lamb set (bottom left) with Squids for the sides

while I had Salmon Fish set (top left) with Mushrooms

I've never had teppanyaki made right in front of me with an iron griddle by our own designated chef!

Both our sets came with rice, clear raddish soup, beansprouts and green leafy vegetables

I loved it. T'was a new experience & a hearty meal! Thanks Konzy  Definitely recommended

Had a healthy lunch yesterday at O'Briens Irish Sandwich Bar @ The Curve!

I've recommended this joint before in previous editions of The Sunday Times.

Konzy had his usual fave Big Club Sandwich (above) while I tried something new today, the Chicken Slice, Swiss & Guacamole (below). This is one of our choices if we're feeling healthy!

Here's my current song of the week by the way

Do take a listen to my current fave dubstep track that's been on loop on my iPod all week!

httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-vLFnx2udp0

Might wanna check 'em out

Before I go, I have some good news to share. I will be roadtripping and making my final drive to Penang with my trusty ol' white Kelisa to make the switch this Wednesday.

Switch? Yes, the switch to my brand new dream car.

It arrived my home in Penang last week and I'm coming for it!

If you're following me on Twitter, you would already know what ride it will be.

A bright red 1.6CC Ford Fiesta Hatchback Sports Edition that cost a whopping RM86K!

Probably not expensive for some of you rich kids on the block but it is, to me

Looks like I'll be eating bread and water every month when its time for me to pay the installments haha.

Oh and, I've also paid off all my credit card debts of 2012!

I'm now debt free because I'd hate to carry any debts over to another year. Woohoooooo!

This is how my bank account looks now. Depleted :/

Hang in there! I'll work even harder and be more prudent to get you fat and healthy again!

So if you owe anyone anything to anyone, make sure you pay them all off before the new year!

Wouldn't you rather start your 2013 clean? You have two weeks… The clock is ticking.

On that note, always be prudent and have a lovely week ahead, dearest readers!

Much love,

Jessicat

An afternoon tea-party with PETRONAS Switch 4 XTRA (Race Challenge) at Delicious @ Dua Residency, KL!

October 26, 2012 by thejessicat

It was a sunny Saturday afternoon while I made my way downtown for a delightful afternoon tea-party in the city.

When I received the invitation to attend this cosy afternoon, I was looking forward to it all week as it was an Appreciation Party hosted by PETRONAS to thank its VIPs, media buddies, sponsors, contest winners and other valued guests.

And everybody knows how the chain of Delicious restaurants lives up to its name in serving absolutely delicious food!

Excited for the afternoon celebration of food and fun!

The girls and I with our goodie bags

As I was one of the few early ones to arrive, I had the chance to take a quick tour around the vicinity of the restaurant, located at Dua Residency in KL City.

It was my first time there!

Delicious restaurant had a distinctively British and garden-like touch to it

It was well-lit as the large floor-to-ceiling glass windows allowed plenty of sunshine into every corner of the room. The interior boasted several tree branches and incandescent lamps locked inside birdcages, which hung from the ceiling.

I was glad PETRONAS chose this venue to throw its Appreciation Party!

Had always been a fan of this white, pristine treasure house of well-made simple to elaborate dishes.

The stage set-up!

A warm and charismatic opening speech from one of the bigbosses of PETRONAS

He then officiated the event and beckoned us to enjoy our afternoon tea with everyone in the room :)

I gleefully hopped over to the long marble counter and joined the rest of the guests checking out the buffet of assorted pies, quiches, pasta, meatballs, salad and desserts.

Guess what I brought back to my table?

Here's my selection!

Ready for some of the mouthwatering delights up close? :)

I managed to snap a few quick photographs of some of my favorite dishes that were served.

Beef meatballs!

Some pastries

Smoked salmon salad served in a spoon!

Desserts for the sweet tooths out there!

Soon after our hearty meal, the emcee of the afternoon (with a brilliant American accent and a good sense of humour, no less!) interacted with the crowd and explained what else we were going to be expecting from the day's events.

He then introduced a special appearance of the celebrity contestants of the PETRONAS Switch for XTRA Road Challenge, their team members and a prize-giving session to the winners for the online contest.

Papi Zak warming up the crowd

For those not in the know, the PETRONAS Switch for XTRA Road Challenge is a series of challenges featuring 4 teams led by celebrities Awal Ashaari, Scha Alyahya, Faizal Ismail & popular blogger Hanis Zalikha.

Each of them will be accompanied two team-mates and they will have to travel across Malaysia & compete in fun challenges which sees fans voting for their favorite contestants – based on the popularity of their web-episodes.

Here are the teams!

Actress, model & TV host Scha Alyahya & her team

Actor & TV host Awal Ashaari & his team

Popular blogger Hanis Zalikha & her team

Host & HOTfm radio announcer Faizal Ismail & his team

If you are interested in following their adventures on the road and challenges, you can watch their webisodes on the Switch for XTRA Road Challenge at the Petronasbrands official Facebook Page *click*

The prize giving ceremony soon ensued, and lots of lucky winners went onstage to collect their cash prize. There were 15 of them altogether.

Papi Zak calling out the names of zealous fans :)

Oh wow. Lucky, lucky winners bagging themselves hefty cash prizes

just by being die-hard supporters & casting their votes!

Photo opportunity with all the race participants!

(Am I the only one looking at the camera?)

Just as the day ended, I got to take a photo with both of my favorite celebrity contestants – Scha and Awal  If you didn't know, they are husband and wife but they will be competing against each other LOL

Good luck to the both of you!

I love their bubbly and jovial persona… both on-screen and off-screen! Too cute :D

Thank you PETRONAS, for a fun afternoon tea party :D

I had a good time, a good laugh and especially over good food. An afternoon well-spent indeed!

The Sunday Times IV : Sights, sounds, adventures & eats! My week in a flash ♥

September 16, 2012 by thejessicat

Happy Sunday lovelies!

My past seven days were likened to a happy breeze kicking up colourful leaves on an Autumn evening

I was back in form. Cheerful &  brimming with smiles, compared to last week's dreadful crawl of a week

Out and about on a sunny afternoon!

Oh and to my fellow Malaysian people, HAPPY MALAYSIA DAY!

Yup, for you non-Malaysian readers, today is Malaysia's birthday and we are 49 years old.

———-TRIVIA ———

Malaysia Day is NOT to be confused with our National/Independence Day,

which was celebrated some two weeks ago on the 31st August.

Today, 49 years ago, the formation of four independent nations :

Malaya, Sabah, Sarawak & Singapore gave rise to a new nation….

and that new nation was Malaysia.

16th September 1963 was the very day we became a country of our own!

HAPPY 49TH BIRTHDAY TO MY BELOVED COUNTRY MALAYSIA

——————————–

Anyway, what made my week this time round?

We'll see :

Headed to The Pool KL in Ampang for a food review of their Japanese restaurant, Kyoto Lab

Being a Japanese food enthusiast, the excellent quality, taste & choice of meals exceeded my expectations!

Full blogpost coming soon!

Slowly regained my appetite again and indulged in some comfort food

Traditional American Pancake Stack by Paddington's House of Pancakes @ The Curve

For some reason, those pancakes that I had above tasted like cardboard & had a rubbery texture.

What happened to the soft, fluffy, melt-in-your mouth pancakes I always used to have?  This makes the avid pancake-fan in me, sad :/

Had some retail therapy to make me happy.

Hey, who doesn't love pretty things in pretty boxes? :D:D

Char Tang Hoon in SS2 Pasar Malam (night market)

Only RM3.50 and was superb!

Dinnertimes with the magician boys Andrew & JB :D

We hung out at Delicious @ Mid Valley Megamall and I'd fully recommend the…..

Pumpkin Soup with chopped almonds!

It's a new item in the menu. It was flavourful, not too creamy & just the right texture

Party time at NSFW presents : 12th Planet all the way from Los Angeles, USA!

I jumped right onto the podium (and made bestie Pam join me up there!) and I shooked 12th Planet's hand!

Thanks for the photo Pam xx

The heavy dubstep-DnB artist shot our faces to full colour once he took control of the party

Song of the week! I love Zedd, 'nuff said

This was the song that 12th Planet boomed and catapulted me to rave on the podium!

Just a lil SELCA again

Headed out for dinner with my suede grey fedora & a buttoned American flag blouse!

Made some dinner. Inspired by popular Arabic dish, Shakshouka

Baked eggs, tomatoes, onions, black pepper and cumin!

Got a little SELCA crazy whilst stuck in a jam. How narcissistic, I know

Found something extremely relevant whilst I was caught on the LDP traffic jam

Why that highway is congested even at 3PM is beyond me. But that's something to think about, no? :P

Spent my entire Saturday with theboyfie in Borders-Starbucks, The Curve.

He was reading the new book he bought, The Great Mortality by John Kelly,

while I was working away on some of my blogging & photo editing.

Attended another one of the Arthur's Day celebrations in Sid's Pub @ TTDI today

Gee, I love the month-long celebrations! So much merriment

To Arthur!

Dinner at TGI Friday's @ Sunway Pyramid!

For the non-health conscious, I'd recommend the Deep Fried Mac & Cheese balls

Should you prefer a healthier meal, I'd recommend the Stuffed Mushrooms with ground beef!

It's served with bruschetta toppings and pretty damn delicious too

Dennis & I :) Just came back from Youth Jam, held in Sunway Pyramid!

I was the judge for the blogging competition by Youth Jam-SONY's National Blogger Festival

So happy to be able to lend my support to the movement and youth empowerment

And that wraps up my seven days this time round.

It was a pretty average week, with some good news (still a secret at the moment!) to share very soon!

Just a little secret (well, not so secret anymore!) I'm pursuing magic & aim to learn a new language.

A while back, I promised a certain French magician that when I go to Paris one day, I'm going to impress him with my magic performance and a particular mentalism/illusion trick. And I will.

That being said, have an awesome seven days ahead dearies.

And to my Malaysian readers, enjoy tomorrow's public holiday thanks to Malaysia Day! :D:D

Much love,

Jessicat
