CNY BLISS

February 11, 2008 by thejessicat
The Lunar New Year.
All red again… at least, for my family.
It’s their old school of thoughts…. and this, I shall abide by.

All because, I love the colour red.
Crimson bloodshed red.

Warmest Gong Xi Fa Chai greetings
to all my readers and fellow bloggers

My Chinese New Year was a blast. It was a reunion for all of us and yeah, I couldn’t recognize a few peeps who claimed that they ‘helped to take care of me when I was a child’ and the usual thing was…

WAHHH. SO BIG ALREADY AH??
GOT BOYFRIEND ALREADY ANOT??
WAHHH. TALLER THAN ME ALREADY LO.
REMEMBER TO INVITE ME TO YOUR WEDDING HARR

I smiled and chose to remain mute.

If I did reply, (for darn courtesy) you could see my eye’s roll spasmodically

Was down with a fever on CNY eve. Felt awful and my head was palpitating like there was no tomorrow. Thank God it subsided just after one KoolFever sticky.

Mothers are the best medicine, after all.

It was rather unfortunate (or should I say extremely pitiful) that Shaun was forced to study even during the CNY hols. Ah well.. AssPeeAms for all 17yr olds can be a pain.
I’ve had my fair share, your turn loserShauny-clark (I know you’re reading this you bozo)

Having Japanese food on a supposedly Chinese occasion didn’t seem strange to us. We ate our hearts out, just the three musketeers, and pretty much messed up the table. A LOT. Thanks to you careless Meng. =P Your fault your fault.

Picture #1 : need a candidate for a Sushi ad? =P
Picture #2 : our own version of Eutrofication. Fifth formers, it’s in your last chapter of Biology. Muhahahahahaa. SPM *jaunts*

Night falls and soon we were eating again. Be doomed, stomach.
Here’s to our BBQ home-style!

The age-old tradition – smelly herbal hardboiled egg
Be careful cousin Meng, frown anymore and your face will permanently resemble the egg

My two gorgeous cousins (yes, I am buttering you up..baboons) and I had a pretty good time camwhoring in our new CNY clothes and when we got bored waiting for unpunctual visitors =P. If you are reading this and felt insulted, yes it is you. We waited for so goddamn long for your @#!&*$?!% face to show up

Screw you, overgrown baboons!
I stand at 170cm and I’m STILL shorter? Dang. Need more of people like you in Penang. (no offense Penang dudes)

It was auspiciously coincidental that our other reunion dinner coincided with gramms birthday night. So,
two celebrations! All the more reason to jazz up and put our best foot forward.

Happy 70th PorPor!

WHO DARE SAY THAT GIRLS TAKE LONGER TO JAZZ UP AND VAIN IN THE MIRROR?
don’t you dare generalize, forI have the living proof!

Alright, alright. Handsome already-lah

Most of us girls were ready.. and waiting for the two divas (probably still standing by the mirror) to get ready.

Some piccies of the signature dishes. (from the truckloads of them)

***

Oh and I noticed something rather interesting… right in front of me.
An ass-hole. Literally, mind you.
Whose?

Our bootylicious pet!

Later in the night, we had our small version of partying with the folks when the olderfolks were fast asleep.

Note: Alchohol intolerant bozos *pokes Shaun* are advised not to consume to avoid repeating thy mistake. (picture inset)

Another day passed so does another lunch. We had our family loklok and it was fun to be part of the food preps for every meal, everyday *makes ugly face at Dubby*

It’s more ka-ching as we go a-visiting and being warm hosts to visitors
$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

More days passed, so did more visiting and shopping. It was fabulous to get to know so many people from my maternal side of the family whom I didn’t even know existed on the face of earth.
Guess what? Lyss came to see me!!! Yay!! Love ya sis.
(Shyt. no picture?? NNNNNNOOOOOOOO!!! We were too caught up in our conversations that we totally forgot a picture! Dang)

My week in Epo was the bomb. Hmm.. reached home on Sunday itself and back into Dubby’s arms!

That’s a wrap!

*makes ugly faces at everyone*
Do not. I repeat, do not pretend to ask me for angpaus. It has come to a point that I deem it annoying.
