NIPPLE-LATHOPIA?

I’ve always wondered, why do men have nipples?

Aight, I’m not seeking some thesis-long Biological explanation just so you know. It’s just pretty amusing as to why ’em guys actually possess them.

Okay, so let’s get analytical. I did a mini Q&A session with ma’ boys & gurls :

What is the 1st thing that comes to your mind when asked,

“What can nipples do?”

So yeah, I spotted this “nipple” book whilst at the Singapore MPH book fair last weekend and I showed this to ♥Ducclebears. He laughed at my face and called me silly. Hmmph!

Yeah sweetie, silly for you.
Bleh. Corny!

The book fair was just insane.
Imagine lining up for a whole hour just to purchase the books you’ve picked out. Goodness me, I reckon the queue was at least 200m long, if not more.

ALL JUST FOR THE SAKE OF BOOKS?
No offence to the bookworms out there though.

Because I fully understand that not all reading material are made up of only textbooks, encyclopedias, dictionaries and the like… or definitely not this :

Hey, if you’ve lived a life as deep as this fella, you’d prolly have a biography about yourself as thick as a rhino’s skin.

Anyways.
Books are pretty damn awesome, if I have to say so myself. A few books there actually caught my eye! Both, titles and designs.

Okay honestly, I’m a sucker for artsy book cover designs. So to all the publishing houses : if you want an extra customer, then funk up your book cover and I’ll buy it regardless of whether or not the story is good. ROFL

I remember BestieBenj and I often hit Borders to check out awesome books, back in my Penang days. He has a fancy for those silly books like ‘101 things to do before you die’ or ‘How to survive a zombie attack’. Then again, he would always take me to the culinary section full of
fab books like this –

Argh… Food! Nom nom nom.
How can I not bask in gastronomic glory?

Ima happy gurl as usual after a shopping haul of … books. Hey, at least I don’t feel so bad having spent all those money. After all, books are -cough- intellectual and food for thought, no?

edit : a dear reader of mine Jhnhth, referred me to Scientific America, and it turns out that after a complex explanation, I’ve gathered that the answer to why do men have nipples is merely this –

“chests would also look pretty funny with just hair”
and
“simply because women do”

We got to Siloso Beach, Sentosa really early in the night. Party peeps were still sober and seemed to keeping the maniac in them very well hidden. Awh, such innocent chatting. It won’t last, you betcha. Just a few more shots will do the trick.

We slumped and lied down on the beach to catch a breath. Phew. Running around partying throughout the whole stretch of Siloso can be pretty exhausting. Affirmative.

Worldwide Music Fest was awesome!

We had bacardi, gins and beer. The last time I actually partied to a rave by the beach was ages ago. Gawd. Perfect for getting the stress of my jammed mind.

Just came back and imma hit the sack right away. Being half wasted, half sleepy, half hungry, having half a writer’s block and half a migraine ain’t good.

The Secret, on Aeroline!

I was down in Penang for the weekend – ONE DAY to be exact.

Yeah, it’s kinda like a secret as not many peeps know that I returned. Due to the fact that I had only one sole purpose of coming down.

…. of which I will blog about pretty soon.
(Hint : Bikini babes, Hunky dudes & Strip Poker)

Anyway, here’s a lil something first. The 10 hour long journey back and forth can indeed be a very restless one. But hey, I enjoyed traveling 1st class on a exclusive double-deckered coach – Aeroline.

My very first time aboard!

They had a :

A flat screen TV
A lounge with upholstered couches
Plug-points for our laptops
Blankets and cushions on the seats
“Air” stewards to attend to us
A built-in Aero.Fm
A PA system
and most of all – something that made me grin from ear to ear :

They served Subway during the journey! Imagine that!

I reckoned I would be bored to death on board, without WiFi to blog live. But I was wrong, there seems to be something about me and coincidentally meeting my friends whilst traveling!

When hunger gets the better of us

Just as you thought we had enough, we didn’t. We had another round of bites at the rest house en route to Penang. Long tiresome journeys can really make one hungry. Hee.

Apart from him, iPoot and Snappy, there was nothing else on board to keep me entertained. So, away I snapped.. and snapped.. and snapped. In total, I took a number of repetitive pictures in similar stances.. but chose this doofus-looking piccie from all the rest.

On the highway back home

Nostalgia filled my mind the moment BuddyCarter picked me up when I finally arrived at my destination. I realized that I never looked at Penang that way before – those roads, those landmarks, those people. The familiarity.

This is. HOME. at last!

Suicidal student from NUS?

wooooooooots! Blogging from the National University of Singapore (NUS) in the BioChemistry classes now.

[okay, this post is backdated]

BestieJoyce & I sorta “sneaked” into their classes, heck well, no one would notice,there’s like tones of other students

I miss her, like seriously.

Today was about what ought to be hydrophobic and what’s not, ezymes, bipolar/polar cells and membranes, glycogens and the like. Strangely, I miss all this back in high school when I used to do them all.

Nostalgia bit me hard and I felt somehow remorseful that I didn’t persue it any further.

Oh and, here’s a snapshot of the new Aldo heels that Ducclebears♥ bought fer me. Was searching high and low for a pair of platform wedges with cork bottoms

Anyways, it was pretty cool when the professor was lecturing. I had the notes stare back at me as I smiled in recollection. Exactly how Ms. Koay used to teach back in the high school Chemistry Lab.

Well yeah, truth be told I’m a nerd at heart. (I know you find it hard to believe, but yeah) Well at least the other side of me speaks so. I enjoyed my lesson during their class

As this University is enormous, they had a Subway inside their very own campus! A shuttle bus too, was going around ferrying lazy students around to get to from block to the other or from one end of the campus to the other end.

We clicked rather well with Cheryl and her friends. They’re such fun peeps!

However, the saddening part is that one of them was constantly emo and well, bore suicidal thoughts. No one understood him and neither did he himself. So.. on that fateful day, he attempted suicide again.

And I managed to catch it on camera.
Let us bless this forsaken soul.
