Ducclebears came back to Malaysia to see me for the weekend! A perfect reward for me after working by deadline after deadline.

Of Gellato shakes
and Chocolate cakes,
sushi, him and so much love.

What could be better? Another weekend with him.
Oh and.. I hit the boutiques for some retail therapy too. Just what I needed.

Awww… all alone?

Don’t worry, shopping bag. Being in a room with both shopaholics – my roomate and I, you’ll never walk alone. (Pun unintended to all the Liverpool junkies) For in this very room, there are many shopping bags and shoeboxes too to accompany you.

When I start, I never stop.

Somebody please kill me. I spent RM400 again in Topshop today. Couldn’t help it! The shopaholic in me is on a roll! Last night, I browsed through the Forever 21 website and I realized that I hadn’t been doing much shopping this month. Hence, the shopping haul

Darn.
My wallet and my heart is aching over that amount spent.
How I wish I can have brass padlocks and chains to my wallet.

BUT
I have no regrets.

I adore it.. so very much.

The fabric feels just amazing and the quality is
really worth every single cent.
I love the way it hugs my body so firmly yet so stretchable.

OMFG. My title for this blogpost sounds terribly wrong on all levels. Only the twisted minds will get it. Argh.

ANYWAY ‘NUFF ABOUT THE TITLE.

When you’re all worked up and brain-dead from the busy city life, an escapade to the great divine is what you need. Heck, not like I’m achieving Nirvana or anything but,
Loreal gave me an awesome experience in a cottage placed right-smack in the middle of a forest reserve.

A coach came to ferry the whole lot of us off to the deep depths of the jungle. They even have their very own ride. Pretty cool, no?

It was a flippin’ long ride, if I have to say so myself. God bless iPods. I brought buddy Zhao along with me. Hey, it’s always better to bring a pal along.
-cough- Company works too, lest the iPod gets busted.

Can’t wait to see what’s in store for me!

Okay, the journey was really long. Like, very long. I could prolly finish a 2 whole other blog posts by the end of the ride. The whole lot of us were practically the only ones on the highway other than one or two other vehicles; yeah it was THAT secluded.

Aight, time to mark my territory!
Nah, kidding.

The last time I actually vandalized something in public was when I was 15 : my school bus stop (whoops. Gimme a dimerit point then) and the public telephone booth. Uh-huh. Did some tiny graffiti of my name… and I’m not ashamed. *grins* Hee.

I was also given a test tube upon arrival. I’ll tell you why soon 🙂

And no, there’s no mad scientist experiments involved

Lotsa local celebs & socialites were present for this grand media launch too. Serie Nature, as it is aptly called. This is because every product under this line comprises only 100% natural ingredients – kickin’ em chemicals away!

All its main ingredients were tomato lycopene, rice proteins, green oils, avocado, white clay, peach milk, fig and ginseng.

I actually stalked this child everywhere he went just to shoot a portrait shot of him. Trust me, he was uber camera shy.

But I managed to shoot him in the end
when he least expected it

Refreshments were served as well. I liked how each lil snack is in sync with the relevant product; with the similar ingredient, that is.

My favorite of ’em all.

Unfortunately, the other snacks -cough- leaves a little to be desired.

Okay, NOW I’ll tell you what the test tubes were for. With every booth visited, a teaspoon of grinded powder will be added and labelled to our test tube.

Here’s a lil video I made of my test tube and the surroundings of this forest reserve just to let you guys see it for real.

Now this whole thing was some awesome sh!t. I’ve tried & tested their shampoo and hair mask – I must say it’s pretty good! Love the natural scent too. Kudos!

Worldwide Music Fest ‘o9

We got to Siloso Beach, Sentosa really early in the night. Party peeps were still sober and seemed to keeping the maniac in them very well hidden. Awh, such innocent chatting. It won’t last, you betcha. Just a few more shots will do the trick.

HEALTH IS THE PLACE TO GO

Perfect. Just perfect. 🙁
When I’m all out to begin my diet, I was invited for a food review @ Prince Hotel.

ARGGHHHHH
Why can’t people eat like the world’s coming to an end yet stay stick-thin?

Anyway, thank God Prince Hotel is launching their ‘Fit 4 Life’ campaign – with their new and healthy menu of various food stuff from all the categories of the food pyramid. Okay so, I won’t feel so guilty eating my guts out. (hey, it’s supposedly healthy right?)

So yeah, Tocky & I prepared our stomachs and threw our weighing scales away before this event. Be prepared. ahahahaa

We were given a neck/shoulder massage prior to the gastronomic therapy.

Onwards, came the food-tasting. We decided not to take the same food somehow. But it turned out that I took the food with the same colour. How uninteresting. And bland. (ooops) I obviously didn’t take a piccie of my plate.

I continued my hunt for butt-kicking good food and impressive food presentation. Considering the fact that the Chef de Cuisine, Sous Chef & Chef de Parties are all internationally experienced, it shouldn’t be an arduous task to spot ’em.

I liked the way those cooks prepared some of the meals. Old skool is the way to go! Oven baked to perfection. Check out his expression.. I’d liken it to that of Chef Wan.

Little bite-sized delights makes me smile. I remember the last time I tasted it – in Equatorial Hotel for the Easter Day event. It was called the Russian Salad; served in a spoon too!

There was a cooking demo too. The Jap chef presented the methods of making some organic PohPiah with rice paper. Yeah the paper is edible. I asked! 🙂

Back to some more wholesome -cough- and less healthy meals. I walked to the other side of the buffet table and I saw another set of these pretty bites!

There were more demos. He showed us what ingredients are to be used for a healthy meal. No preservatives, extra virgin olive oil, unsalted butter and other gastronomic jargon for dressings, condiments and herbs. Bestie Benj would know, but not I. LOL

Apart from cooking demos, there was a Body Jam routine being presented on stage as well. Argh, reminds me of my gym days back in Penang. Guilt kills.

OMFG I SWEAR I DIED FOR 10 SECONDS, WENT AROUND THE WORLD, AND REINCARNATED BACK TO REALITY AS JESSICA TAN, WHEN I SAW THIS :

I wasted no time in satiating my greed for pure chocolate fondue with fresh strawberries.

Chef de Cuisine Donald J.P was friendly and informative like no other. We had a long chat not just about his Fit 4 Life menu, but about the cooking industry in general as well. Apparently, the latter came far and wide from overseas and my uncle in Ritz Carlton, Florida would prolly know him. Same country – what are the odds!

Overall, it was a healthy good menu. I was told that chocolate isn’t sinful after all. Opt for the unsweetened or dark chocolate. That’s music to my ears! Do I hear bells ringing for all choc-lovers?
