More on Hennessy Artistr

April 26, 2009 by thejessicat

Okay, like I promised… here’s my complete post on KL’s Hennessy Artistry @ Upstairs, The Loft. Been looking forward to it all month!

So yeah, a continuation from my previous post about this year’s Hennessy Artistry – The Global Art of Mixing feat. Starz Angels, Caprice & VJ Spacebar.

The crowd was mad, as expected. No one wanted to miss this event! I attended the press conference before the party started, and heck, Starz Angels was sucha hyper bunch! They were practicaly fooling around with one another the whole time

Hennessy was served in shot glasses (yumyum!) and the atmosphere was just krazy. So many familiar faces headed here to party as well.

I know I hardly ever do this, but I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves :

Hennessy Artistry 2009!

April 24, 2009 by thejessicat
Hennessy Artistry 2009 was a blast!! Heck, I’m feeling so trashed now, but owells. My buddies and I had a rockin’ good time last night.

All set & ready to go!

Aight, my usual – a sneak peak on what happened, who was there and how it was like. Just a teeny weeny preview, to prepare you guys on the uber long blogpost on the entire event. The truckloads of piccies are just MAD.

Here’s only two piccies of the party peeps, as this is only a preview :

More to come!
(LOTS MORE TILL YOU PEE ACID)

This year’s installation of Hennessy’s Party after the previous Hennessy Artistrys spelled enthusiasm like no other.
The previous ones featured Shayne Ward, Bangkok Invaders, Point Blanc and even Flo-Rida (omg right) !!

But this time, it’s the dynamic duo from the land of France – Starz Angels.

They were sucha hyper bunch!

There was this really talented Canadian beat-boxer in the house too. How on earth did he manage to beat-box ‘I Like to Move It-Move It’, ‘Satisfaction’, ‘Low’? Whoa! He really catapulted the crowd to the skies.

And of course, *cough* our local homeboy Caprice, who brought us ‘Fantasy Girl’. Ohhhhhhhh emmmmmmmm geeeeee all of us thought he was this little prince that’s capable of charming every ladies heart *melts*

Prolly he doesn’t look nice here (he’s rapping)
but you’ll see cuter piccies of him in the next post soon
Oh and, of the highlights here in this sneak peek is that
CAPRICE PULLED ME AND STEPH UP ON THE STAGE TO DANCE WHEN HE WAS PERFORMING!! *screams*

Dancing to ‘Fantasy Girl’
Thanks for the pic, Aaron

Sloshed, down & out.
IT WAS EXPLOSIVE!!!!
stay tuned for my full coverage

DREAM the live music station

December 24, 2008 by thejessicat

Get a hobby

Get a break
Get a dog
Get a job

Get a life

Yeah, I’ve done all that. But why does it still feel the same?
Idk, time is all it needs. T_T

Photobucket

I dragged myself to work shooting the event that night; half wondering if my quality of work would plausibly deteriorate due to my lack of mood and focus. But no, professionalism must be upheld. *crosses fingers*

A continuation of my post, the insights of a budding photographer [here] , I’d like to share with ya my cover of a new club today.

Photobucket

It was the relaunching of a friggin’ hot club – Dream, located at Autocity, mainland Penang. Trust me, I was in awe when I first entered it.

Photobucket

It was NOTHING (I repeat: nothing) like how it used to be. With its state-of-the-art infrastructure and interior décor, laser lighting, ScratchLive DJ mixing software, MTV music videos on LCD screens embedded on the walls, VIP decks, hyper & crazy crowds and so much more!

Photobucket

Let’s begin the night!

Photobucket

It was separated into the bar and the club.

Photobucket

Photobucket

For those who just enjoy sittin’ or chillin’ by a couple of drinks and live bands, check out the bar. Comfy sofa seats and lounges awaits you!

Photobucket

And when ya get in the mood, indulge in a flaming Lamborghini ^_^

Photobucket

As the night grows, leave the bar and hit the club! If amazing DJ remixes with fantastic boom bass beats and partying the night away is your thing, then this is the right place for ya!

Photobucket

It certainly looks impressive now after the new makeover, and I bet everyone present for the launching couldn’t agree more!

Photobucket

And these two gentlemen even told me that Dream was ‘bagus!!’ (translation: Malay language for ‘good!’) It was nice of them to ask for a picture of us too.

Photobucket

Scratch it, bring it back! I was overjoyed when my friend DJ Stib Diener was the guest DJ of the night. He’s back! This time, not spinning for Mois but Dream! Awesome! His tracks and remixes certainly made the dance floor go crazy.

Photobucket

I smiled for the camera but told him not to look up and instead, continue doing his thang. Barulah nice! =P

As it was the opening of Dream, there was bound to be lotsa performances, no? So yeah, Wildcats Entertainment was the performers for the night. I’ve worked with them before and trust me, they’re a mad bunch!

Look at them imitating the ‘Dreamgirls’

Photobucket
FYI the person in the middle is a man

=P

More and more performances came after one another and it was fab how they kept their stamina throughout the entire mass performance!

Photobucket
Belly dancing was next after a few street dances

Photobucket

The most hilarious part was this cross-dresser lip-synced a song with so much dramatism and pulled out a poor innocent guy from the crowd to ‘dance’ on the stage with ‘her’.

He was so embarrassed but I must say that it was really brave and sporting of him to oblige ‘her’.

After a total of 5 massive performances, it was the crowd’s time to shine and please don’t stop the music! Back to you, Stib!

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket
All in all, I’d say to boss Sean, this place is of the hook!!
Good job to you and the team!

My job is done, may I leave now boss?

^_^

Notice that I didn’t really give yall a full photograph of Dream’s extensive interior compound right? Haha. Well, I wouldn’t wanna be spoiler =P cos’ that’s for you guys to check out the awesome place yourself!

For the non-Penangites, Mois (if you’re on the island) and Dream (if you’re in the mainland) is the place for you to party. Need help for tables or bookings? ^_^

THE H-FACTOR : Do you have it?

October 17, 2008 by thejessicat

Who agrees with me that Hannah Tan is sizzling hot?

Well, I think she is. =)
She once won the Miss Malaysia Petite in one of the years back and has ever since carved a niche for herself in the entertainment industry.

When I was partying down at Mois during the Celebrity Bash quite some time ago, she was there too – singing. Take a look :

Photobucket
I’ve no idea why she adorned a shocking pink outfit anyway

She put together some of the most famous names in the entertainment industry and launched a workshop – The H Factor. Here she is, at my campus KDU to promote and share with us the itsy bitsy on that workshop.

Photobucket
Looking sizzling hot as usual

Photobucket
FYI, she’s from KDU Mass Communications too!
So, she’s like.. my super senior
^_^

Photobucket
Hannah and I in Lecture Theater 1
(i feel so inferior beside her LOL)

Photobucket

My classmates and I, grabbing a shot with our super senior Hannah Tan

So after paying RM30 for her workshop scheduled at G Hotel on Sunday, here we are!

Photobucket
Bestie Joyce & I
DO WE HAVE THE H FACTOR??
We have the H chops though
-__-

Met up boyfie there too. He’s a chef at G Hotel if you didn’t already know. Woooooo and check this out! We loved it! Especially the cheesecake and the beehoon which didn’t taste like boring old beehoon. *applause*

Photobucket
Like, zomg.
I hate being a sweet tooth

Met up so many familiar faces, I guess being in the communications & media industry will bound to have you bumping into people that you know all the time. These are my high school friends!

*hugs babes*

Photobucket
Us with our H Factor goodies bags.

No pictures from the workshop itself as we weren’t exactly permitted to snap any DURING it. Anyway, for those who are interested, Hannah & her crew will be in Johor, KL and more.

You can log on here to get more details on her workshop

Go quick!
