I get lotsa questions on my current obsession about Norway lately
So yes, I know some of you have also been curious about what's spawning my verbal diarrhoea about Norway in my tweets and Facebook updates. I shall share why.
If you're wondering, no, I did not fall in love with a Norweigian trout nor a codfish, neither did I get my feet whisked away by a Viking seafarer.
Hell no.
The thing is, I've never really paid any attention to Norway nor the Scandinavian peninsular within its vicinity.
I DON'T EVEN KNOW HOW A NORWEIGIAN FLAG LOOKS LIKE.
Did you?
It looks like this –
Funny how Geography never taught me nuts about Norway.
The only thing I remotely know is that Norweigian salmon there tastes really good.
And Jens Stoltenberg is the current ruling president of Norway.
And the capital of Norway is Oslo.
Does that sound sufficient to warrant myself a fairly intellectual conversation about Norway?
I'm afraid not.
I reckon Norway looks like a goat head on in map
But don't worry. If it's any consolation, Malaysia doesn't look any better, I think we look like a lopsided mango 😀
Told you so 😀 😀
I don't actually feel so bad about my inadequate knowledge of Norway because in this Norweigian phase of mine, many of my friends ask me:
WHERE IS NORWAY ACTUALLY?
or
NORWAY IS SWITZERLAND RIGHT?
NO. It is not. Just like how pissed to the bone I'd get when people say
MALAYSIA IS SINGAPORE RIGHT?
or
MALAYSIA IS IN THAILAND RIGHT?
No!! It is not!!
So ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, this is where Norway is on the world map.
Yes I know it's tiny country to live in, but likewise, I'm living in one right now. IF you've ever heard of Malaysia. *rolls eyes*
So, what else do I think of Norway?
"That is was a beautiful country to live in"
Those were his exact words!
It produces nice friends (and good dancers) like you.
Although this is not my first nor only foreign friend, it's indeed a very eye-opening one as there was so much I learnt in such a short time. Thank You! 😀
Yes fine, I met a friend last weekend and I bet you can guess by now that he is Norweigian. Thus, it sparked my interest as why I don't know shit about Norway. Possibly because he doesn't know shit about Malaysia either.
Oh and randomly, I just handed in an assignment today on Cultural Globalization for my International Studies subject. Just saying.
Meet Person C, the very patriotic Norweigian. He likes beer and partying.
Then again, doesn't everybody? LOL
So what else? I think Norway looks like something out of a set from the Lord of the Rings trilogy
Hmmm… possibly?
Or not.
And you have a very good looking president!
For his age la, I meant :)
This is Jens Stoltenberg. I read up his biography and it was impressive!
Whatever it is, I haven't read up so much about Norway in one night. Pretty interesting, if I do say so myself. Bet you don't know half of Malaysia the way I know about Norway 😀
Now it's your turn to read up about Malaysia and produce something equivalent thank you very much.
So there you go. I've blogged about your country as per request!! 😀
-the end-
lol , i am pretty obsessed with France hahaha
hahahahahah!! 🙂 🙂
cooolios. What do u know about France other than French cuisine ah? hehehehheehhe
lolz. he’s cute
*wink*
iknowright! hehe
wahh!! no wondr ur facebook name change hahah
bwahahaha. yup correcto! 🙂 it’s just a phase la LOL
hah! Norway. I love that country. It’s so beautiful esp the fjords. Simply mesmerised by the beauty. As a matter of fact, i visited 3 of the scandivinian countries – norway, sweden n denmark. So different from France as jasmine mentioned. Thanks for the blog of norway – brought back sweet memories.
Whooaaaa cool. what are fjords? 🙂 omg u’ve actually BEEN to Norway and the other scandanivian countries!!! 😀 cool omg. Gosh, i have to go there too on my foreign exchange next year!
glad i brought back memories!
I knew about Norway a little more, but I can’t say I’m an expert. I knew their flag, I know how beautiful their scenery is and how awesome Oslo must be. Wish I could go there one day, definitely on my list of Must-see European countries. I wonder, if you ever get an obsession with Slovenia? Hmm, maybe we should meet in a night club like you and Person C 😛 What did he do to make you so interested? 🙂
Yeahh totally! wish i could go there one day tooo!!!! 😀
hmm… possibly!! if we were to meet in a club and play a chick magnet vibe i’d prolly blog about slovenia too 😛 😛
ohh he was just incredibly smooth the dance floor! melikes 😉
Now you know more the most people!! I’m impressed!! But then again, small country so you don’t expect a lot either! When I lived abroad, my favorites were when people asked me if we were the capital of Sweden and if we had polar bears walking around the capital city.. lol. I can confirm that we are our own country and that there are no polar bears on the mainland 🙂
Also, Jeans Stoltenberg is not the president. He is the prime minister, we’re not a republic we have a king and a royal family. But, again just by the facts you stated in this post you know more then most!
I always been dreaming of visiting Malaysia to. My grandparents who pretty much have traveled all over Asia over 4 decades, says it is their favorite country and have the best memories from there. My grandmother especially loved Penang. I’m hoping to get to spend a full month in Malaysia, to see Penang, Georgetown and Langkawi, of course KL as well as scuba in Seba which I here is among the top 5 scuba destinations in the world. Have you been? I really want to see the turtles, a bit scared of the tomb though.. My boyfriend and I are actually considering for our honeymoon whenever that comes 🙂
hehe well, Malaysia is a small country too 🙂
oooooooooooooh polar bears!! My (farfetched) dream is to hug them!
Oops sorry, prime minister! 🙂 but whatever he is, he SURE is a cutie! (unlike the ones we have here.. *whistles*)
omg do come! 😀 I can show u around. Penang is where i come from but am in KL now, our capital. 🙂 Do buzz me when ur around! you’ll love it i bet!
I like the info here very nice
thanks for sharing
