UPDATE!
So the mystery is solved. The death of the person in question was not a suicide. It was a tragic fall by accident. And there are 2 things that contribute to this conclusion which I've just made. 1 is a claim by his good friend and another his blood-sister in real life.
Here are some parts of the response from 2 readers.
Isra MeB says:
… "The student in particular did NOT commit suicide!!!" … "I just want to set straight that his death was NOT suicide!" …"Had you known him as well i’m sure suicide would be the last thing to have crossed your mind."
Miia Mohammed says:
"Nadiir was my brother, my real bigbrother.
Dint really have a strong relationship with him though !
And it was an accident , i assure yu it was no suicide, he actually fell asleep on his balcony cux he
cant stand heat and there was no electriciy !
Thankyuh for the pics, my family has been dieing to find out where he passed away .
xx"
I don't know how far truthful it is, but I chose to believe the both of them. 🙂 Judging from their claims, Nadiir had been a very nice fellow and he was most certainly not a troubled one with constant suicidal thoughts. I am deeply sorry for the loss of his family and friends who didn't manage to see him for the last time, especially the ones abroad.
God Bless! and thank you for setting the truth straight

Like ohhhhmyyyyyyyygoddddd!!!
One night at 2.30 am I was walking towards my block (where the elevator was) to take me up to my condo unit, I spotted a very rare sight. The green city council garbage can was tied up with 3 orange cones onto the lamp post bordering a specific area. I actually paused to take a 2nd look and wondered why the management had to resort to such measures to curb illegal parking.
Photo taken the very next afternoon via Blackberry
But it turned out that such strange placements of the aforementioned objects were not intended for parking restrictions. *gulp* As I observed hard at the same spot, something made my head tilt skywards. And I saw this:
Let's just hope it was a wardrobe that was gravitationally disadvantaged
Good grief! Someone or something actually crashed through the roof and must've landed smashing down to the gravel pavement below! That must've been a really really huge impact. 🙁
Curiosity got the better of me. I then proceeded to ask the security guards what actually went wrong. According to his account, he mentioned to me that a young student plunged to his death a few days ago on the 26th of January at approximately 3.30am. By 4.30am, the cops arrived to investigate and the ambulance came to take the corpse away.
He died on the spot.
I mean, who wouldn't? It would've been a miracle if anyone survived this fall.
I then went home and did a lil research on what actually happened. Here are some snippets according to the Malay Mail Online
The victim, Nadir Mohd Al-Fatih, 23 from Dubai, was found on the ground floor of the common area of an apartment block
Petaling Jaya district police chief, ACP Arjunaidi Mohamed confirmed there were no signs of foul play in the case. "He fell. We have completed our investigations and from what we found, there were no signs of criminal breach or alcohol in the victim's apartment."
I also gathered that the Segi College student fell from his 17th floor apartment. Like goodness gracious. I think I would've been human stew if I ever landed headfirst 17 storeys down. Gosh. That's a really nasty fall, no? But the sweetest thing I discovered was, there was a Facebook memorial page even dedicated to him
A friend, Wisam Gangari who lives in the US, wrote Nadir was "one of a kind, had a heart made of gold, was always there when you needed him and was truly one of the best people you could ever know. We love you Nadir, you'll never be forgotten".
With this, it totally reminded me of the English Literature I used to study back in High School entitled 'Death in the Opposite House'. Only this time and in this case, the death did not happen in the opposite house! It happened right BESIDE it T___T Rest in peace yo.
*gulp* and I STILL have to walk past that pavement every night when I return from events. Ohnoes. Dear God, please walk by my side every night thankewwwwww. I don't deny that I'm still a tad shaken and afraid.
May he can be the bodyguard for you ;p
ahahahahahaha. i dunno wot to say =X to be scared or to be happy. lol
jesssss u so brave. u take photo some more. eww. take care as u walk the dark alley alone ya. scared
ehhh brave apa wor. when i took the photo it was broad daylight 😉 hehe no worries la. worst fears also i’ll ask the security guards to accompany me to the lift. hee thanks!
Eeekkk!!! Scary!
Really pity the guy. He looks like a good and cheerful person le…

Goodness gracious. Why suddenly this happened. 🙁 My condolence to the family.
his family ain’t in Malaysia. gosh. i wonder how they will take the news when they find out back in Dubai. Sigh
It’s sad, yea… and now it happened near your house. But so many times it happens everywhere but near us and we read in the news and we just browse on as if nothing happened. I hope this will make you cherish what you have more. But… I know you already do. You’re a sweetheart with a big heart made of cake, you care for all people. I really like your posts this year, blog whatever you see or think, you’re always interesting 🙂
wow. nice words in retrospect. We’ll actually never know what we’ve got till it’s gone. Sigh. Yeah, I’ve experienced a loss of a grandpa before and god knows how hard it was to face it. Nono! My heart isn’t made of cake, it’s made of cookies, chocolate chips and ice-creeeeeammmm 😀 hehe thanks yo!

this give me the goosebump shiver remind me of Menara Alpha i once stay at wangsa maju. Almost every year got *Superman* accident and pool of red thingy near lift area . Stay vigilant jess coz it can mean the security is very lax too -.-
yerrr! why ppl keep committing suicide at your area? goodness me. -___- yeah well, i think this year the security standards are quite high edi, considering I see a guard at almost every corner of my condo area. they are all quite young also. thanks alot
Hey…this is indeed a sad story….not to say the least scary for u.
And yea, I read the death in the opposite house poem last yr…never was one for poems.
yeah very sad. Only a student! hmm. Well i guess I gotta not think about it everytime I walk past lah. hehe. LOL yup, that poem! 🙂 quite deep n nice actually hehe
So ermm, next time dun stay out till too late k? *duccles*

vic……kinky? =.=
yaaaaa wtfffff!! Next time she shud totally direct a blockbuster movie featuring kinky suicides jumping frm balcony 😛
First Pic: Hey, i’ve seen that spot!!
yes u have!! and now.. jengjengjeng.. sumone fell there
Whoa. Was it certain that it was suicide, or could it be an accident?
Now that u mentioned, it COULD HAVE BEEN an accident. hmmmmm.. but no one knows what happened. omg what a mystery!
Could you first please double-check the backgrounds when you make statements?! The student in particular did NOT commit suicide!!! It’s pretty disrespectful to the deceased and his family and friends to make such claims as it is not the case.
Have some respect and don’t mock with death, because we will all die one day and then mockery could be on you!
I just want to set straight that his death was NOT suicide!
Oh so u KNOW what happened? Well I don’t and none of my friends do. I was only describing how i felt at that point of time and sharing with my readers the info which I got from the security guard.
I also just want to set straight that i did not make any claims whatsoever, neither was I mocking the death. In fact, i had sympathy when i found out what happened from the security guard. I live in that exact condo and i’m blogging about this mystery of what happened and the fact that i was afraid as I walk there every night.
thanks for setting straight that his death was not suicide. i don’t wanna assume that u may or may not know the deceased, but if you do, my condolences.
I understand your aim with the blog and it’s horrible that you have been confronted with this tragic loss. I do know the deceased and I’m glad I have known him, so thanks for your condolences. Had you known him as well i’m sure suicide would be the last thing to have crossed your mind.
I just stumbled upon your blog googling around and it struck me that his death was set as suicide here, which can be very misleading and pretty painful as well. His death was an accident and such things do happen, and regardless of the “mysteriousness” around his death, it is more dignified to convincingly state the fact that “a Sudanese student died beside your condo”, than making such allegations on the mode.
Good luck coping and my advice is have no fear!
gosh. as far as i know, he’s a university student nearby at segi or sumthin liddat. well, then i’m glad he didnt commit suicide bcos of his study pressure or something liddat. but if someone pushed him down then i hope justice is served.
thanks for the additional info! 🙂 will amend it accordingly
I understand your sensitivity, Isra, but please don’t accuse Jessica of mocking someone. I follow her blog around a year and she’s one of the nicest bloggers there is, she never ever says anything bad to anyone. But sometimes she blogs things immediately after something happens in her life and you can’t expect her to always write everything reasonably, things like this are emotion-laden.. This is after all just a personal blog, not a press agency.
Thanks for your effort Jessica, very much appreciated!
Thank you as well ‘My Kafkaesque Life’. As you mentioned, it’s an emotion-laden issue on which I promptly reacted upon seeing it and thus my “accusation” was indeed misplaced, eventhough it came forward from my overall impression of the particular posts on this page. I don’t doubt the well intention of Jessica’s blogging and I understand that it’s not always possible to provide the most reasonable information. My excuses for the allegations made, but do understand that it’s very important to me that justice is done upon the deceased.
now i cannot stay late in the office alone because it’s in the same block…FML
all the more reason for u to go back early! no more late late superlate hours liao 🙂
gee. another suicide. wow. facebook memorial page. i wonder will i have one when i died. lolx. chOii..
i honestly think the FB memorial page was rlly cool too. and SILLY, CHOI!
wah like so scary wan >.<
yaaaaaaa it is!!! >___<
omgg why so scary one. hopefully he will rip.
becos it is T__T sigh, yup! may God bless him
This is the main reason why I don’t want to leave in condo anymore! From my observation this case already happened to almost all of the condos.
is it? ALMOST ALL? GOSHH.sigh stay in landed property better ahahahaha
eeeks… i wonder why he committed suicide at such young age?
now THAT’S something that would remain a mystery
omg. You know what? a condo which is at Bukit Utama also had the similar incident! only that the student was from my old school and she was a girl. died on the spot. almost same floor.. Freaky weih…
GOSH. it’s a sign! ahahahaha wtf. sigh nolah, kidding. i guess students totally need to learn how to deal with stress better. Suicide wont solve anything.. oh wait it will lah technically, they not just end the issue but they end EVERYTHING.
oh no… when you passby at nite… remember to amitaba 🙂
ahahahahah im christian 🙂 but nevertheless, will say a lil prayer! thanks!
OMG~! I’ll be quite frightening to walk that area. I guess everytime u have to pass by that place u close ur eyes and run across!
Word! sigh. no surprises why im moving out soon though. heh 🙂
Wow, that’s kinda scary. Poor man. :/
It is! 🙁 🙁 the spot is still there untouched. ugh
seem a kinda ‘lucky’
ehhh? LOL so bad! haahaahahahah
ahhh same thing happened to me some 2 years ago. the lady who lived two storey directly above me jumped down too, i saw the police lifting the corpse off the ground to put onto their .. “tray?”. oh gawd, i can still picture it vividly, really like all the bones smashed into bits.
try to not think about it when you walk pass there lor. but i think it is hard to not think =.=”
anw, rest in peace dude.
WTFFFFFFFFFF -_______- ur experience is worse!! u actually SAW it gosh. yeah thanks, i wont have to think of it anymore… am moving out next month 🙂 not JUST becos of the suicide though. had other things bugging me too.

ohhhh gosh.babe, im so sorry to hear.
okay well, no electricity? that sucks! what kind of management is that who doesn’t provide proper electricity. hmmm.. so, it’s for a fact that you KNOW he usually sleeps at the balcony cos of the heat?
