So yes! Hellooo again ๐Ÿ™‚
If you've been reading my tweets, you would know that I've been so occupied till the very last breath!

Staying up so late and coming back home to my rez past midnight.
Seriously… I've been so wrong about Gippy, thinking that it'll be a shithole, capable of putting an end to my social life.

Used to think I couldn't live without my BB internet, but now I can ๐Ÿ™‚

I wake up; breaking free to a sense of liberation from the constrains of societal norms back in Malaysia.
Doing the things I've always wanted to do without a care in the world. I'm carefree, I'm foreign, I'm alive .

And loving every single bit of everything here.

Not Gippsland per se, but everything else around me.

I found myself in that short period of time and took the chance to understand life around me.

I love my mates at South and West rez, they make my days living here an interesting one.
We party like it's the end of the world and have the time of our lives watching movie marathons, laying on the grass, rockin' up joints, cookouts and basically just hangin' out.

Okay! Enough melancholy, I guess I'll save this for my last day in Australia :'(

Anyway! On a happier note, today is gonna be about a similar thing. Partying!
Monash international exchange's Welcome Party at Red Scooter.

No, we did not ride all the way there ๐Ÿ˜› Wish I could!

Headed to Melbourne Central station and interchanged before dropping off at Balaclava station

It feels so odd to travel nomadically around by public transport. Back in Malaysia, all I had to do was doll up, jump into the car, step on it and arrive in style.

LOL I like how brightly lit and lively their Metro train stations are. It's bustling with people all the time!

But here, I will have to get ready in half the time, get out the door quickly and plan my routes and timing for which tram, bus or train to take.

Which platform? Which stop? Which road? Not cool, commuting in high heels ๐Ÿ™

Joanne and I; still waiting for our ride.

So when we finally got there, we – being Malaysians with typical Malaysian timing – arrived fashionably late ๐Ÿ˜›

Most of them were already there and the party had already started.

But now that we're here, it's time to roll!

With my babes Kath-Rin and Anne from Germany

With Alex from Canada

She's pretty hot, ain't it? Say hello to Lisa from the Netherlands

Guten Tag!! ๐Ÿ™‚

It was a pretty huge place, and had 2 storeys.

On the upper level were snooker/pool tables and a huge mirror!

Piccie of the bar taken from the balcony on the 2nd floor

The drinks were flowing like there was no tomorrow. (yeah, I wish there wasn't!)

Popping bottles after bottles and having a helluva good time. DJ spin that sh!t

Us Malaysian girls with the Holland boy! ๐Ÿ™‚

He was my 1st friend at Clayton campus on the 1st day of Orientation Week ๐Ÿ™‚

A very shy guy, but a real sweet heart in person!

Jowee and I

There was this freaking huge armchair and lots of us wanted to take pictures with it ๐Ÿ™‚

Malaysia + USA in monochrome

Blur photo!! HOW SAD. ;(

But it's multiracial so it's a must-go for this post ๐Ÿ™‚

Jowee, Jess and Joanne on the aforementioned armchair

I reckon Red Scooter is a fab place to go for drinks and the music was really good, fo shure!

It ranges from Electro, RnB, remixes and other popular songs from the past to the present.

The dance floor was jam-packed with party peeps!

If you ask me, the party/club scene in Melbourne is pretty damn fine too ๐Ÿ™‚

Perhaps nothing can change my mind about Zouk KL – my fave club so far – but tonight was enough to get by through the night.

It still showed us a good time!

I had champagne and a glass of Bacardi – neat. *hic*

Me with my fellow university mates on exchange!

Proud to represent our home campus, Monash Uni in Malaysia ๐Ÿ™‚

With Brittany from the USA

She has this typical ghetto accent. I like!

Shalini and I acting silly

Cameron and I with our drinks

With the said armchair again. It's sssooo huge!

Fit for a king AND queen

I bunked over Joanne's crib for the night.

Too late and sleepy to head back all the way to Camberwell! Not to mention, dangerous too, going back all alone.

Looking all smashed post-party.

Caught in the rain. *rolls eyes* Of course, we are devoid of our cars here in Melbourne.

I miss driving around so badly!! We wouldn't even have a drop of rain on our heads if we were.

Back to Gippsland I go.

I will surely miss the city, but heck I will be back every other week or so.

Till then, I'm keeping myself busy on Rez in Gippsland. Yes, it has its charms.

It just does something to me ๐Ÿ™‚
