HAPPY BURFDAY

Friday, October 17th, 2008

Right as about now, is one of my besties Minny Chan’s birthday.

Photobucket

Yeah… sure. We were looking forward to it all month and I even bought her a birthday gift already

WHAT THE FUCK.
How would you feel if you couldn’t make it to one of your closest pal’s burfday?

IT’S HER GOD DAMN 21ST okay?
How dare dad disallow me to go?

So right now at this very moment while you’re enjoying your butt off at your burfday party, I’m stuck here at home with only my online buddies to hold me when I fall and to see me thru it all~

(you know who you are)

After a good cry, here’s something dedicated to you my dear friend.

I first met her a long time ago in the clubs. That was when we were hardcore clubbers who partied 3 nites a week. But the strangest thing was, we never talked face to face before.

We had alot of things in common back then:
1. High alcohol tolerance

2. Red Hair

3. Black wristbands
4. Same height

5. Same style

However, we kept leaving each other messages that we wanna party together but… never did. Cos somehow, we eventually stopped hitting the clubs frequently anymore.

We then somehow met again at the same birthday party - SuTing’s 18th burfday bash at Equatorial Hotel.

Our first picture together!

And then.. we were avid gym junkies as well. We hit Celebrity Fitness along with another good friend Ralph almost everyday. WOW. And the thing was,

Photobucket
after EVERY workout, we will never fail to go for Sushi King for dinner.

Then somehow or in some blessed way, she was the one responsible for bringing me back to church. Nope, I didn’t backslide but… I was begining to forsake God and so I seldom talk to Him anymore.

Meeting so many wonderful Church youths too

My life was a wreck back then.
Soon, I was on fire again with the love of God and believe me, it never felt so right in His hands of protection.

At TheRealm, church have NEVER been this fun. The worship leader rocks!! Hahah he can be such a funny sport at times. And the fun times we had at church were :

Women’s conference

Apart from hangin out in church, we and degang hung out and had so much fun all the time. Seriously, they are one wacky bunch!

My life was spruced up and soon I was having fun again having all those late night suppers, shopping, dinnerring, lunching and whatever that spells fun!!

We even went for the ticklish and jelly-fiying experience [here]

And the most recent outing was in an exquisite place somewhere somehow (but that’s another story) Anyway, here’s the sneak peak!

Photobucket
Can you handle BOTH of us?

So to speak, we also kinda “work” together. We were the photographers for the USM Tanglung festival..

Photobucket
and she was always there with me when
I teach the Photography Club students of USM.
I can’t believe I had my DSLR fully charged to be the
official photographer of your burfday bash.
=(

Apart from all the fun babe, you were often there in times when I was emo. We can practically talk about anything! There are hardly any secrets between us and I loved the times were laughed and made fun about “something”. (youknow-iknow-heknows-theyknow-LOL)

Photobucket
babe, we rock!!

Well, that’s all I can do for you since I’m stuck at home over here longing to get outta the house and to join u guys for the birthday.

I didn’t even manage to give you the birthday present I bought for you, nor have a piece of the burfday cake, nor join yall for camwhore sessions, nor clinking booze with yall and most of all, not being able to give you the big birthday hug at 12 am.

So here I am, writing with conviction…

HAPPY BURFDAY BABE.
Much love.

SHIT HAPPENS
T_T wish i was there.

To the body of Christ!

Saturday, May 3rd, 2008

Hurrah! I’ve brought our Father Jesus Christ into Mum’s heart and 2 years down the road, today she is now baptized!! Hallelujah!

He has his plans for us, even if we don’t know how to go about it.
Keep yer faith up, for God is watching us.

It was a scorching day but our spirits burned even brighter

Together with the others wanting to be baptized..

As you can see below, young and old alike all in line to be water baptized

There is no age barrier for being baptized. When you feel that the walk of your righteous life is mature enough, just say it when you’re ready to accept our Father as your Lord and Saviour into your lives.

That’s Pastor Jerry speaking to mum prior to her baptism

And there she goes! Hallelujah!!

This was me back in 2006. (one of the few unflattering pics of myself that I still keep. memories-keepsake)

When I was baptized by water as well. I’m still thankful until today for the fact that my sweetheart brought me into the body of Christ.

May He bless us in our journey of love & bond.
Amen

And today, I’m proud to be His child. Never forsaken. Though I may not be a staunch, I still try my best in glorifiying His name. Time will tell as I mature into my walk of faith.

Holla Heavens!

As if it isn’t time for me to return to church.

It’s been wayyy past due. =(
I left church mid last year, for no good reasons. So did baby.

us then (2006)

Us now (2008)

Anyway, the break from my righteous self has been a long one. Many ups & downs and I realized I was getting lower and lower in spirit.

And then I realized..

Where’s my place to seek solace?
Where’s my place to renew my spirits & be cleansed of my sins?

It will all be good in His given time. I dragged myself outta the comfort of my bed and went back to church.

I did what I felt was right.
And, I hope it is right?

The people who moved my spiritual self.. the people who matter

The people that made me look forward to church.. the people who matter

The people that are forgiving should I stumble and fall… the people who matter.

So happy to see me ka, Tim? XD

I’m glad to be back to our Father and the temple of the Lord.

And to hear all you talented youths serve our Father with your musical talents!!

I’m glad to be back home.

Amen
to that!

For good or for worse?

Saturday, April 21st, 2007

I have always loved doing things for good causes, like charities or maybe even just filling up a poor beggar’s coin-container with some cash. But what happened today with a Buddhist/Taoist/Japanese/Thai/whatever monk hell freaked me out. The accused in question was almost like a persistant and aggresive credit card promoter!

Hubby and I were just hangin around book-shopping in Borders, Queensbay Mall when we were approached by a rather elderly monk draped in amber robes with huge beans.. oops, beads I meant, dangling from his neck. Not wanting to offend him, we patiently listened as he rambled on in Chinese… supposedly something about his religion?? He then pressed a card with some Chinese characters printed on it, into our palms. Even as Christians, the both of us graciously accepted it with thanks just for the sake of respect. I mean, he’s seems nice and harmless so I clearly see no point in stemming his momentum.

Before we knew it, he brandished a machete and a cleaver at us.

Obviously not.

He whipped out a clipboard with a list of people’s names who respectively donated RM20 and waaay above. With raised eyebrows, we gave each other a baffled look. *gosh* It was obvious that we looked stumped but he didn’t give a rat’s ass about us, instead, he kept insisting we donate as well. YOU SON OF A GUN! How are we supposed to determine if you really are a registered monk seeking for charity or just one of those BOGUS MONKS cheating the public of their hard-earned money? We then politely declined but he became more aggresive. C’mon, Jess has to do something! Left between the devil and the deep sea, I signalled to one of the staff at the corner of my eye. Thankfully, she came to our rescue and courteously told the monk off.

What was next? He stormed off in a huff and snatched back the card which he insisted we should keep, not too long ago. What a scam! Like, seriously, if all you wanted to do was to spread the truth about your religion, then go ahead… we were courteous enough to listen anyway. Just compare him to the Swedish pastor standing outside my college handing out free bibles for all. Now, that’s the ethical and proper way of doing it.

Begone, you bogus-imitation monk! Giving a bad impression of monks around the world.
