Photos & Videos of Jason Derulo Live in Malaysia concert @ Dragonfly KL

Saturday, July 31st, 2010

Okay! Here's the long awaited post I promised. Sorry for the delay as my homies came down to KL city to visit me! I had to play host for a few days :D :D It's full of tight schedules! It's 5.03AM now and we've just got back from Zouk :) in 4 hours later, we'll be heading up to Genting Highlands to spend our fun-filled weekend.

And yes, this means I've chosen my best friends over MTV World Stage gig – and I'm proudda it! :D Gave up the invitation to spend quality time with them as we hardly ever spend enough time together. So, who's Katy Perry and Tokio Hotel again compared to my best buds whom I love?

No one :)

Anyhoozers, here are the piccies from Jason Derulo's gig!

Muscular male backup dancers + Derulo in sight! :D

He was fabulous! Loved the choreography of his dance and

heck yeah, he moves really well

Among the first few songs he sang was Boom~ Whatchu Say

Short 10second clip on that performance! :D

Love love the synchronization of the dance!!

Lotsa hardcore fans couldn't stop taking pics of him

(yours truly included)

Brought Chris and Joanne along with me for this concert ;)

Hope you guys enjoyed it too!

Another popular fave he performed for us was 'In My Head'

I see youuuuu all over meee~

In my head~

You, fulfill my fantasy~

In my heaaadddd~

What surprised us was when he belted out his rendition of 'Around the World' and 'Sexyback'

Short 10 second clip on the old skool 'Around the World'

Along with those slick moves of his, it got the revelers feeding off his energy!

One of my personal fave track off his album was 'Ridin' Solo' and I was elated when he sang that too!

:D :D :D

The other two less commercialized songs were nothing short of amazing as well

He sang 'What If' and 'Love Hangover' and made it ours :D

It was brilliant! :D

It was plain to see that it got all his (mostly female) fans driven with euphoria! :D

When it comes to stylishness + a well toned body, it certainly makes it into the eyecandy list!

But when paired with a natural talent of singing and tantalizing the crowd,

Jason Derulo couldn't be any better! :D

 :D

We just couldn't wait to have more of him!

There was a loud encore to bring him back on stage not long after the concert ended

One of the best parts of the event was also the meet & greet session

His warm hugs touched hundreds of fans that very night

However, having just came back from a good night out, I'm in such a good mood now that I'm contemplating sharing with you guys what ALSO happened during the meet and greet session. Most of you would've already known from my tweets that something enraged me and a whole lot of other people present at that moment.

It was the actions of a certain someone that we deemed selfish, disrespectful and which was indeed unappeasable towards Jason Derulo's supporters and fans..

I wonder. Really. The performance/concert was amazing to no level but seriously..

How would you treat your stakeholders?

I haveeeeee a dreeeeaaaaaaaaammmmm~
A songgg to singgggggggg~
To help me copppppppeeeee~
With anythingggg~

If you have a dream, then make it happen.

I once dreamed to be a fighter, like Xena the Warrior Princess!

It doesn’t matter if your dream sounds too far-fetched. Dream big and work towards it! Aim for the moon, and even if you fail, you will still end up amongst the stars

Whoever thought that you would be paid to shop? Or… to party? Or better… to play video games? Nothing is impossible.

What if someone gave you a chance to experience what you love? *winks*

When I was little, one of the the first dreams I ever had was to be a swashbuckling pirate.

Told mom about it when I was 5 and she gave me an eye patch.

Talk about parental support ey *winks*

As I was approaching my teens, I dreamed of becoming a mayor of a city. Probably too much influence of the Powerpuff Girls's mayor of Townsville. A national leader, more of. Like Queen Elizabeth II and the like..

In my decree,

rock songs should be made into the national anthem! :P

Years passed and I wanted to become an ambulance driver, if not an F1 driver
(both can get away with speeding and at that time I was up to my neck with speeding tickets!)

either that or….

:D :D :D

… a Harley Davidson racer girl!!

Totally love the need for speed

And as I grew up, I wanted to be a rockstar. A real guitar-driven rockstar! With a groupie!

But on days where I feel lika good girl, I dream to be… a deity and achieving nirvana :P :P

So probably like me, you prolly have lotsa your own wildest dreams :D and that’s where Nescafe Kick-Start can help you!

To date, it has been making dreams come true for Malaysian youths for years!

Talk about motivation babeh! :D

If you've been following the previous seasons, contestants of Nescafe Kick-Start was previously supposed to come up with ideas/plans for new business ventures (to take over the world!). Then again, how many of us would know how to financially plan that huge amount of capital… at that age?

If you ask me, I’d take a trip to the mall and spend it :P heh *guilty*

So this time round, Nescafe Kick-Start Reloaded embarks on a different route –

offering the winner a 3 month internship at their dream job!

Heck, there are 15 DREAM JOBS altogether! I’ve checked them out and believe me, they’re freakin cool, exciting and one of a kind. Not any of the mundane sit-down jobs at all, woots!

Now who's your mystery shopper? *wink*

Imma let you in on some of ‘em. We’re talking about Game Testers, Mystery Shoppers, Party Planners, Celebrity Pas, Gadget Reviewers and much more. Go see for yourself!

Betcha never thought you’d be PAID to do the things you love, ey?

So here’s the deets!

To win, you gotta

1. Submit your choice of those dream jobs

2. Do a self-promotional video telling the public and judges why they should get their dream job

Then comes the voting stage~~

After voting by public and judges, 15 finalists will be chosen to undergo a 24-hour challenge *holds breath* that will include both physical and mental challenges to overcome.

Here’s your chance to be filmed and broadcasted live online!

At the end of the 24-hour challenge, your future employers takes their pick on who they want or do not want to hire. It’s up to how you perform! So putcha best foot forward and impress. Super exciting right? :D :D

Throughout the contest, the participants are tested on their 3 in1 characteristics… passion, personality and perseverance.

It’s fabulous how one can actually be given a chance to achieve their dreams!

Baby steps toward your dream careers starts NOW!

When two adults play at night in a deserted playground, what do they actually do?

Monday, July 26th, 2010

Hahaha. So the title caught your attention, didn't it?

Well as suggestive as it sounds, we all know what goes bump in the night. Many a time, I've driven/walked past playgrounds only to find two heads bobbing up and down behind the park bench or the bushes. I bet you -at some point in life- have heard stories or saw it for yourselves too.

The last time I ever stood in a playground was more than 10 years ago.

How sad.

So one fine day after dinner, theboyfie Josh and I decided to walk around to ease our bloated stomachs. Apparently, digestions seems quicker that way LOL! Not long after, we spotted a playground.

oh yes. A full-fledged colorful playground!

Have you actually sat down to reminisce, what was your favorite plaything at a playground?

Or in fact, can you even remember each and every single equipment that a playground has?

I don't know about you, but I certainly do not.

We're gonna find out tonight … and if we're lucky,

we might even get to see some unorthodox "activities" there too *wiggles eyebrows*

Okay so there were the swings. We played on them for a little while, only to find out that the soles of our shoes scraped the pavement below so hard that all the friction spoiled any bit of fun we had on the swing. Bah humbug!

We then proceeded to the huge equipment with lotsa playthings jutting out from every side. Totally reminds me of that big bulky equipment in the gym where the body builders always hangout! Guess this is the kiddy version of it huh

It was relatively high. Probably about 6 steps above

But it had safety bars there in case anyone falls

Got photobombed by theboyfie again. RAWR. Anyway as you can see, there were lotsa platforms

Enough for 20 kids methinks!

FLASHBACK!

When I was little, my playmates and I made it our "station" especially when we played Catch. The "it" wouldn't be able to catch us if we had any contact with this safe station. LOL memories! One of my friends in pre-school burst into tears because we refused to move from the station.

Poor girl didn't like being "it" for so long. :P

And then there was this tunnel thing which may look pretty big from this angle

but believe me, we couldn't actually crawl through it

Not that we actually got ourselves stuck inside to testify that

But well, we did TRY crawling in

And of course, there was the age-old slide. I reckon no playground is complete without it, really.

FLASHBACK!

When I was 5, there was a protruding nail on the wooden slide and when I slid through it, you don't exactly want to know what happened to my shorts and the back of my thigh. Ugh. Nasty!

At least this one is made of plastic. Childsafe! :D

The huge colorful "station" was really huge that it even had TWO slides adjacent to each other.

This slide was somewhat different from the typical wooden and diagonally-down slides.

This one was spiral! Hey. I didn't have that as a child.

I actually thought of giving the slide a try after more than 10 years but decided against it because theboyfie said we'd prolly get stuck inside and the management would have to oil/grease us out of there. LOL!  Hey, we're not thaaaaat huge!

We climbed up higher and found this…

There was this steering wheel which practically steers…

nothing.

Unless this is some playground from the movie UP and when it rises up with helium balloons, I could steer us all the way to South America! Now that would be fun :P :P

So we continued exploring and found this Tic Tac Toe thingy on the other side of the playground

I think we played about 3 times and nobody won!

:( :(

I guess old tricks die hard! :D Little did we know that we spent almost an hour at the playground. A fun way to spend the late night!

And if you were wondering, no we didn't see any spooky beings nor incorrigible acts. Whoopeedoo!

Had smashin’ fun during the XPAX XPLAY series of parties! Here’s the one at MOIS Penang & GOSH KL

Saturday, July 24th, 2010

So XPAX had their series of awesome partehs this time round again. It’s called the XPLAY Party and celebrated in various venues/clubs across Malaysia, namely Penang, KL, Johor, Malacca, Sabah and Sarawak. The line up included notable DJs with their expertise in various genres, dance crews, beatboxers and MCs.

Thanks to Celcom XPAX, I was invited to hit the party too and to bring my fabulous friends along with me :D

Partyin’ in VIP style yo!

Only half of the gang came early tonight

I attended two of the XPLAY parties altogether because one was simply not enough!

So here’s the first one I went to, held MOIS Penang aka my 2nd home

MOIS’ entrance in its splendour of bright lights and decor

Bouncers busy at keeping the crowd intact

My homies and I were one of the early birds that night! But as early as we were, the interior was done with the set up. All ready to tear up the parteh!

Part of the backdrop on the stage and the DJ console

Before the event officiated, DJ Coollen had begun to hype up the crowd with his signature remixes of hip hop and R&B.

With the SINGAPOREANS :P

With one of the besties Minny

Me and my gurls YingZi and Minny enjoyed ourselves chilling at the sofa while the boys watched some footie. If I ain’t wrong, I guess it was Brazil playing that night!

Mwah

With my man Josh

zomg he came despite having to wake up at 6AM for work the next day! woots!

Finally, the MC of the event kickstarted the party and told us all that there will be a DJ battle between Xu and Blink of the famed DJ duo LapSap. After that will be a HipHop dance routine followed by a Beatbox performance by one of the top 10 Beatboxers in the world, Shawn Lee.

So let’s get the partay started!

Bringing down the house with an iconic blend of House music

Shawn driving the crowd in awe after every performance

The dance crew was up next! They were godlike!

I think I even saw them a while back on telly. ‘So You Think You Can Dance’ perhaps?

Loved their popping locking dropping crumping & breakdancing!

The party lasted till wee hours of the morning. There was just so much energy and the crowd just kept raving on! No pics of the party scene because we were too busy enjoying ourselves hehe

But here are some pics of the after-party! I didn’t realize that the performers of the night were sitting at the table directly beside mine :)

With Blink & Xu from LapSap!

Hello Shawn, we meet again :)

and I can tell you that the Penang crowd was certainly impressed!

My gurls and I went into a frenzy partying & dancing with these HipHop dancers!

They were just as good offstage as they were onstage :) Very spontaneous

Thank you for having me Kenneth. The party was a blast!

See you in KL for the next XPLAY

Okay! The next XPLAY which I attended was held in GOSH KL along the Asian Heritage Row aka clubbing square. Thanks to Nuffnang which invited me along with them.

What I really liked about this party is that they had polaroid shots going on at the photowall!

:D in fact, I think ALL parties should defo have that.

Us with Kenneth :D

Thanks for having us again dude!

Us three with VJ Utt

Babe! The polaroid of this you keep well kay!? :D :D

VJ Utt and I! :D

So the party started and the whole lot of us got it bootyshakin’ to the music! Very very good club hitz indeed. Us gurls went crazy at the pole which was right smack in the middle of our table. Hmmm.. pole dancing anyone? :P

Groovin’ along with Davide Succi’s music

Us gurls Audrey Jestina Michelle and I enjoyed ourselves you bet!

So did the boys Nic and Tim! Especially the ‘Nobody Nobody But You’ by the Wondergirls LOL

More party piccies!
